Summary: Definite Pageturner
Review: I give Koontz yet another 10. The title couldn't be more perfect for the book. Very discriptive and realistic. If you are looking for a good book, anything by Koontz will do!!

Rating: 5 stars

Summary: Will Scare you to death
Review: This is the first Dean Koontz book I read. I became hooked on his books after reading it. I have never read a book that has affected me more. Surely on of the best thrillers ever

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A really great book.
Review: This was the best horror novel I have ever read. Not only is it scary and impossible to put down, but it is something that could actually happen in real life. The way Chyna's part of the story is in past tense and Vess' is in present tense was really cool. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a little suspense

Summary: Non Stop Terror!
Review: This is one of the most exciting, heart pounding books I have ever read. Koontz takes you on a roller coaster ride through hell in this one. I suspect some male readers won't like the strong, capable, tough Chyna because they can't see ANY woman as a action hero. However, it certainly thrills us female readers to follow a gutsy lady like Chyna as she pulls out all the stops in this action packed tale of unrelenting terror

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best I have ever read
Review: This was the first Dean Koontz book that I have read and it will not be last. The story keep me glued to my book. I was terrified for Chyna and i felt that I there with her. A must read book for anyone who likes terror and suspense

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: There's more to good writing than intensity.
Review: No. Sorry. Serial killers like Mr. 'God fears me' Vess are best left to Patricia D. Cornwell and John Sandford. They have protagonists who can handle them. The ideal Dean Koontz antagonist is science-fictionized (The Bad Place, Watchers, Phantoms) and two- or three-dimensional. And the protagonist is an ordinary person (The Voice of the Night, Watchers, Midnight), not a Superwoman who breaks oak chairs and fights off guard dogs with cleaning fluid. This book was intense all right; unfortunately, that's ALL it was

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Many words can describe it but the title aptly sums it up!!!
Review: Certainly not for the feint hearted reader. Powerful, gripping, disturbing, the title aptly suiting the contents. Each detail described accurately to enable the reader to envisage the scene before them. My heart leapt into my throat several times but I could not find the strength to put it down. Dean Koontz is without a doubt the "King" of suspense

Summary: Dean Koontz is the best author!!!

Summary: A book that is definitely worth your time.
Review: "Intensity" was just that, intense. I enjoyed this book because I was able to suspend disbelief. I got into the characters - it was as if they really existed. For instance, Edgler Vess, the psychotic character that had no compunctions about hurting and/or killing living things (whether they be human or animal). This Vess character was totally believable because Koontz brought him to life. Chyna was a believable character also. However, the reason I gave this book a nine instead of a ten was because Chyna seemed to perform miraculous feats too many times. After a while I just couldn't believe that she could wrangle her way out of life-threatening situations over and over again. Still, I enjoyed the book so much that I've become a Koontz fan. I'd seen his books before but just thought he was another Stephen King wannabe. Wrong. Dean Koontz is an excellent writer in a category by himself. I have recently purchased 5 more of his books after reading "Intensity." WARNING: When you read "Intensity" make sure you're not home alone!
