Summary: A must
Review: I've read a lot of suspenses stories since I love them, but few have been as suspenseful as this one.I've always felt that Dean Koontz is the real king of suspense and this book proves it. From the first page onwards you are gripped by the storyline and the characters. This is not a book, this is an action thriller. If this book doesn't become a movie, there's something wrong with Hollywood.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The most gripping Koontz yet--and the movie was good, too!
Review: This, of all Koontz books is best experienced on audio. Many of his books are read well this way, but this one in particular. I finished this alone at work in one and a half days. It grabs you early and won't let you go. The constant tension is almost unbearable. The antagonist, Edgler Vess, is almost unbelievably diabolical. The interplay of the four main characters is well plotted and well apportioned. The novel is most certainly not predictable, and is one of Koontz's most satisfying. The moral discussion is worth thinking about as well.

Summary: THE BEST HORROR THRILLER EVER WRITING.
Review: Turn the light on get a cup of tea and prepared to be for THE THRILL RIDE OF YOU'RE LIFE. This book is so many things. It's a thriller it's horror it's drama. Konntz is a genuis. He outsmarts almost every other writer in his field ( including stephen king). This is scary to the bone. I wont waste time on plot but I can tell you be warned IF YOU ARE PRONED TO NIGHTMARES DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. This is going under as one of my classic's. A MUST READ.

Summary: Intensity is the most awesome book ever!
Review: Dean Koontz's Intensity, is by far the best Koontz book I've read, and possibly the best book I've ever read. Although I'm only 16, I felt like I got to know the characters in depth, from Chyna's fearlessness, to Vess's psychotic tendencies. This book is a real winner, and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone who delights in a good read.

Summary: INTESITY IS EXACTLY WHAT IT CLAIMS TO BE INTENSE.
Review: From the first couple of pages of this book you are jolted in for a horrifyingly real, scary and intense ride. This is dean koontz's best novel. If you're a avid fan of dean koontz you should'nt be suprised. If you're a first time reader and looking for a koontz book to read start with this one. If you're looking for something a little lighter and not as scary check out dragon tears or sole survivor. Chyna Sheperd is a student witha dark past concerning her mom. She as only one friend and that is lara tempelton. She and lara stay at lara's parent's house for a weekend. When a a serial killer break's in to the house and kill's everybody except Chyna she is left to fend for herself. This part is one of the most horrifing parts in this novel. Chyna follows the killer into his motor home where she finds a closet with a hichhiker dead. I wont go on and on with the story but let me tell you you're in for more then a couple sleepless night's. Edglar vess aka the killer is a woman raping people killing, little girl locking up in cellars,Mouth sawing lunatic who is extremely smart. The best part of the book is when vess is catches chyna and they have a sprirted conversation. The chemistry between vess and chyna is inpecable. Bottom line is intensity is one of the most creative, smart, original and scary thrillers made in years. One of the best book's of the year of 96.

Summary: One of his best, by far.
Review: I've read Dean Koontz for well over 10 years--have found his old books written as Leigh Nichols, Owens, and Coffee--and this is one of his best. Watchers is the only one better, but the plots of the two are so totally different that it's like comparing apples to oranges. For a good read, Koontz never lets me down and I always rush out to buy his new book the minute it hits the bookstores. Intensity is a great way to spend a rainy day, or a wonderful way to keep awake behind the wheel by listening to it on tape. I've done both. Way to Go, Dean!

Summary: Nail biting terror
Review: Not being a huge Koontz/horror fan I reluctantly gave this a go and was scared out of my MIND! The most terrifying book I have ever read and riveting from the first chapter. Read it but don't be alone in the house at the time! Similiar to James Patterson psychological thrillers.

Summary: Best Book to Date!!!!!!!
Review: There is no other book like this! It is the best book written thus far by Koontz! Read it, and you will be INTENSIFIED!!!!!

Summary: See the movie?
Review: I've been here before to review the book (which I loved and is easily Koontz's best ever) but I finally caught up on my videotapes, and watched the movie for it. Finally, a movie that comes close to doing justice to a book. Kudos to all involved.

Summary: Read first, then take a bath immediately, ick!
Review: Yes, I read the whole book in one sitting. Yes, I stayed up long past my bedtime. Yes, I needed to find out what happened. But I have never been happier to finish a book in my life, and then I tossed it out. I didn't even want the disgusting thing in my house! The book was so manipulative, the villian so unredeemably revolting, the heroine's motivation so flimsy that I found myself saying "Oh come on now" (out loud no less) repeatedly while I read. The plot is stretched thin to the point of breaking. The internal dialogue goes on forever. I found the book akin to eating lots of really, really cheap, very sweet candy and then feeling sick to your stomach all day. I don't recommend it
