Rating: Summary: Mr. Koontz at his best Review: I hate to read pumped up accolades, (tour de force, Non stop all that crap) but this was an excellent book. If you have not read the book, but watch the movie, then I would suggest you at least get the paperback. A movie cannot replace the suspense you get from print.
Rating: Summary: The best Dean Koontz novel ever! Review: It was scary, and fast paced the best Dean Koontz book i've ever read. Weather your a fan of Dean Koontz or not i suggest you read this book!
Rating: Summary: Read it in one night!!!!!! Review: I love Dean Koontz for the fact that most of his books were somewhat "ghost stories" or "out of this world". But this one was set in the present in a normal place and the fact that this could happen anytime and anyplace grabbed me. I read the book in a matter of hours than I went back and read it again. My heart would not stop pounding. I thought while I was reading this that it would make a great movie! (to bad I missed it on TV)I lent out my copy so much that I have had to replace it twice!!!
Rating: Summary: Still "Reeling in my fears!!!" Review: I absolutely loved how Mr. Koontz went from all out, non-stop, goose bumpin', heart poundin' serial mind fear one moment to cool down, take it easy, catch your breath the next. The way he set up certain scenarios were magical. With Vess being in a position of trust, a policeman, made it all the more intensely compelling. No one, even his colleagues, suspected he was different or had any kind of perverted problems. His intensity for over the edge, gone, psycho, sick and twisted crimes was his "emotional orgasm". In a way, Mr. Koontz puts us in that situation and almost dares us to ask the question "If I was Vess, what would I have done differently to get away with this crime?" Outstanding book!
Rating: Summary: Fascinating and flashy, but slightly flawed. Review: I noticed that the rating system goes from 1 to 10. Why are all these reviewers stuck on 10? This is an almost excellent read. Koontz develops the serial killer (Vess) to a high degree; you can feel the evil and at the same time not understand it. But the protagonist, Chyna, is an underdeveloped character along for the ride. Would the fear, continually raised in her, be overcome by the motivation to stop Vess from harming his other helpless victim? The story line does not bear that out. Furthermore, her continued stupidity in the face of true evil boggles the mind. Nevertheless, Vess holds the reader's imagination until the end.
Rating: Summary: Great book to read at night! Review: Intensity is book that keeps you and takes you all the way to the end. The title Intensity is the perfect title because the story is very intense and on the edge all the way. This the perfect book to read at night, it's the kind of book that won't let go of you, it keeps you guessing all the time. Just read it and find out!
Rating: Summary: Just one point I need to state. Review: All of the high ratings on this book are all true, but one thing none of them said that I found was much of the book is stating what could of happened (If she grabbed the knife he would have seen her and killed her. If she would have run away he would have heard her etc.). That was my only complaint.
Rating: Summary: From the first chapter, you are intensly captivated. Review: I am an avid Koontz fan, and I always enjoy his books. Some of his books are excellent (Watchers, Strangers), others are OK, and a few are somewhat bland. Since Koontz's books range from so-so to brilliant, reading a new Koontz book is an adventure. Once I picked up Intensity, I found it difficult to put down. This story grabs you right from the first chapter, and holds you captive throughout. The book is truly as intense as the title promises. I found this book to be especially original in plot, character development, and outcome. While some of Koontz's books can be shallow and predictable, this one is a gem. Kudos to Mr. Koontz for digging down and pulling yet another winner out of his hat.

Rating: Summary: A thriller in the truest sense. Grabs you and won't let go! Review: This was the most exciting book I've read in years. Although some reviewers on this page complained of the slow start, I found it plunged almost instantly into the story and stayed there, dragging me with it. This is definitely the book to keep you on the edge of your seat. You won't be able to go to bed until you've finished it, and then you won't be able to sleep!
