Summary: THOSE DOGS, THOSE BLOODY DOGS111
Review: Brilliant from start to finish!! What an imagination you have Mr.Koontz. And who wudda thunk he would have been A COP!!! The plot, the whole plot had me reeling. Every single page found me holding my breath. Thank you dear friend Barbara for bugging me to start reading Dean Koontz..haven't loked back since. Next on the nightstand......."Fear Nothing". Oh my........

Summary: This is a fast-paced novel!
Review: Although I am a Dean Koontz fan, I left this book sitting on my bookshelf for two years before I decided to read it. I should have read it the day I got it. Its a wonderful, heart stopping story that takes place in the span of only 24 hours. Chyna Shepard is the kind of heroine we like to see. She is smart, vivacious and not afraid to take risks. I found myself actually talking out loud to her, warning her of what was coming. The end was good, albeit predictable. Worthy of reading, for sure.

Summary: Best One Yet
Review: Intensity was Koontzs best book yet. He really gets you to know China and Areil. Keeps you turning pages and makes it hard to put down. Do not pass this one up if you like chilling books.

Summary: Chilling. Leaves an unshakable impression.
Review: I disagree with the negative comments about the villain. I found Vess fascinating, terrifying, and on the contrary - not nearly insane enough. His philosophies were not the loony prattling of a madman, he didn't seem psychotic ENOUGH - at times I found myself almost coming around to his point of view - which is frightening. He was in no way vile or perverse, he just had a very simple way of living.. His horrible acts of course immediately invoke a sickening fear and repulsion, but I couldn't quite hate him. I wanted him dead, but..at the same time, I devoured every word on him, and was even a little disappointed when she finally killed him.

Minus one star because I didn't feel everything I should have for Chyna and Ariel..even with Chyna's colorful history. I dutifully wished them well, but didn't really care. After Vess was dead, I had to plow through the final pages.

Very tight, very effective. My first Koontz book, and I'm impressed.

Comments are welcome, but don't yell at me.

Summary: INTENSE! SUSPENSE! THE BEST!
Review: Dean Koontz is the "dean" of suspense. It is a one-sitter novel because you get involved in the action and you do not want to let go. You want to do all you can to help Chyna and Ariel. You simultaneously feel proud and sorry for Chyna. This was by far the most intense book I have ever read.

Summary: First time Dean Koontz reader
Review: This book was recommended to me by a co-worker and, while I found the first 80 pages horrific but captivating, the rest of the novel lacked creativity and I found myself reading on only to see what implausible thing Chyna would do next. Dean Koontz will not make my reading list again.

Summary: The story of a mass murderer and the rage of his victim
Review: When I picked up this book, I didn't know what it was about. The action starts up fast and intensely. I liked how the plot twisted around and was very suspenseful for me. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Summary: It makes you think about things, like meeting a stranger
Review: This book is like its title Intense. The thing about this book is that you almost feel like you are there and that you are the person that is trying to help the child. That is a very errie feeling. Intensity is intense!!!!! That is for sure. Also, this is the first book that when it was made into a movie, It was pretty close to the book. So read the book and then watch the movie and you will see what I am saying.

Summary: Chilling, Mind-blowing, he's got you from the first page.
Review: As if you are in the story, you get to experience every twist and mysterious turn through both the eyes of the killer and the hero. This book will have you on your toes and in suspense from the first page, anxious to read the next and find out what happens. As you follow our heroin, China, through her journey you'll be amazed by her strength, wit and creativity as well as Shocked and intreiged by her enemy's thinking, and his secret. It was so good I read the entire book in a day...This is deffinately one of his greatest works. I would give it ten stars if I could.
