The down fall of that is that I have not read Interview with the vampire. I have looked hard for that book and not yet been succesful. I hope that this has encourged anyone to read the books.

Review: If you like Anne Rice, you are going to love this book. Instead of the usual horror, Anne Rice took the readers to the inner side of a vampire's life. This is the best vampire book I have ever read. It is fill with wonderful surprises and no readers can predict what is going to happen next.

Summary: A must read
Review: I hate to overhype it. I hate to ruin even a part of it. Let me just say that I have read every book Anne Rice has written before Violin, and this is only second to Cry to Heaven as the best. If you like to be immersed in the world of a novel, you will LOVE this book.

Summary: Very Good Book and a Must Read
Review: The Tale of the Body Thief show that Lestat is not all power and uncontainable energy. However the story didn't really change the world of vampires. It teach Lestat a lesson and show again how worthy of the title 'Brat Prince' he is. He is trully a brat in the very meaning of the word. However I was thought that Anne Rice made it seem that Lestat had left Louis even though at the end of The Queen Of the Damned it seem that Lestat and Louis's relationship seem to be renewed. The story had a very will good plot. Many ask why didn't the Body Thief just kill Lestat when he was mortal? Will the way I see it is that if he did he will have the most powerful of vampires trying to kill him. Lets not forget Lestat is very well loved and they will not let a mortal walk(or fly) around with the power of The Vampire Lestat has. Even though the body thief is not very smart he must have realise that. It is very obvise. Over all the story was great and gave a very in dept look of Lestat and show that he is not a saint or god. And the dept of his emotions.

Summary: The hardest of The Chronicles to get into.
Review: I must've picked this up to read it three times before I actually sunk my teeth in! I don't know why, because the rollercoaster ride starts fairly quickly. Anne Rice is truly a creative master! Where she comes up with the ideas for these stories, I'll never know. But I hope they don't end anytime soon. I LOVED IT!

Summary: One of the best Anne Rice books out there!
Review: I really enjoyed this book. I think it is one of the best from the Vampire Chronicles. The way Lestat was able to become human again and see through a human's eyes after so long was really neat.

Anne Rice payed close attention to detail in her description of the events and sensations that Lestat went through. The ending was pretty clever too!

Awesome story line. Anne Rice is a wonderful writer, always capturing the beauty and emotions of every character she portrays.

Summary: It was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I thought this book was absolutely wonderful. I could feel everything that Lestat was feeling. I missed the books in between the Interview and this one, but I really felt like I knew what was happening. If you want to read a good book and find out how vampires are and feel, read this one. I'm sure you'll love it as much as I did. I am a real vampire buff, anyway.

Summary: Aren't they all 10's?
Review: I fell in love with Anne Rice about 11 years ago when I first read Interview with the Vampire. I have to admit, I couldn't grasp all the details the first time I read it but I knew from the first chapter that Anne Rice would become my favorite author. Many years later, after I had collected all of Rice's novels (including the ones written under other names) I decided to reread IV and read all the rest in succession. I thought that I would become bored with the character Lestat but that has not happened. Each new novel is it's own story. Rice is such a talented writer that her stories never become repetitive or boring. I love finishing one of her novels but I hate it as well because getting to the end means I have to leave all my friends behind. Rice's characters are so real to me that I consider them a part of me. When I was a teenager I always fantasized about vampires. When most kids were deciding on becoming lawyers or doctors or nurses, etc, I was dreaming of being a vampire when I grew up. I loved the idea of living forever. It seemed perfect to me. To be able to see all the changes over the centuries, to travel all over the world, to fly, to be beautiful, powerful, to read minds. It was all so wonderful an idea. Of course I knew it would never happen, but I liked to think about it a lot. I like that Anne Rice didn't follow the old formula for vampire novels. Some people complain that she's boring and uses too much detail but I have to disagree. I admit that sometimes it gets a little confusing but I think she has a purpose for every description she uses and that it is important to the story. I can honestly say that I look forward to anything Anne Rice writes because I know from experience that I won't be disappointed. I have read The Mayfair Witches series, the Vampire Chronicles (I'm in the middle of Memnoch right now), Cry to Heaven, and The Feast of All Saints and have enjoyed them all. Not because she's my favorite author and I have to like all her books, but because she is truly talented and I can't help but like her books. I go into each one expecting to be disappointed (because it must be hard to keep one character so divinely appealing over and over again), and every time I come out praising Anne Rice for another great piece of work. I am not blinded by my love for her. I do not worship her. I love the way she writes and I have not come across another writer who can take me to the places Rice has taken me (except for Crime and Punishment by Dostoyevsky - now, that's a masterpiece!) The difference between Rice and Dostoyevsky is that I have kept reading Rice but I haven't found another Dostoyevsky that has captured my heart and mind as much as C&P. All of Rice's novels have captured my heart, mind, and soul. I can't wait to get my hands on whatever she comes up with next!

Summary: One of Anne Rice's most magical works....
Review: Have you ever wished for something so badly that it was all you thought about? Have you thought about how your life would change if you got it? I mean, have you REALLY thought about it? <PB> In this addition to The Vampire Chronicles, the second most popular vampire in the world, Lestat finds that one of his fondest wishes becomes a reality. He wishes to be human again, and is given the opportunity to "rejoin" the living. He finds that being "human" again is not quite as easy as he might have thought: it is very hard to go home again!<PB> As usual, Rice spins her wonderful magic of description as she takes us into the lushness of the Garden District of New Orleans, and into the decadence of Miami. We follow Lestat and The Body Thief until their ultimate fateful collision by giving them both their wish: one wants to be undead, and one wants to be alive. Change is not easy.<PB> One cannot help but be captivated by Lestat's curiosity, his naivete, his morality, his quest for knowledge. The imagery is spectacular, as always and Lestat never fails to amuse and astound with the situations he gets into. Then you remember how young he was when he was "made" and though he has lived for hundreds of years, you ask yourself, has he really grown??? And do we want him to? <PB> The descriptions of New Orleans alone are worth the price of the book. I live here, and I can assure you, they are quite accurate!<PB> One of Anne's best!

Summary: On-going Saga of Lestat
Review: The book, though not as wonderful as the former three in the series, is great nonetheless. As Lestat himself stated, the book is the modern chapter of the Vampire Chronicles. No more murking and poking around in the good ol' days, this is what happening *now*. Although there're moments in the book where our brat prince seems to have undergone a personality and intelligence depravement, by the ending of the book our beloved hero is fully back being the 'damnedest creature.' All and all, the only I can say is, "Lestat, you just gotta love him."
