Summary: Extremely boring
Review: I am a regular Stephen King fan. I love all his books (Carrie, Pet Semetary, Cujo), exept this. I couldn't even finish! I am aware that in most of his books the beginning can be a little dull, but give me a break! I love you, man, but try to do a little better.

Summary: A wild roller coaster ride through two worlds!
Review: This is one of my favorite books, it is tabbed as a horror story, but I consider it more of an action-adventure. I enjoyed seeing each main character evolve through the story. Jack growing up, Richard facing his demons and Morgan Sloat and Sunlight Gardener slowing being devoured by their greed and ambition. King and Straub also do an excellent job of describing the Territories while not bogging the story in details, all finishing with a great climax at the Black Hotel. This is one book I have read over and over and never get tired of it. Instead of thinking I'm reading a book, I consider it visiting the Territories again. It's a very fun read.

Summary: Wonderful....Epic...I couldn't put it down
Review: This is a must read for any King fan. It was such an adventure, I got lost in it.

Summary: My most re-read book and still my favourite
Review: This story touched me very deeply. The first time I read it I became totally immersed in it, even to the point of being carried past my station while reading it on the train! The characters Jack and Richard really struck a chord with me, they are my type of people and I felt for them as I would for my own friends. Their wholesome, honest and caring nature and the strength of their friendship through their ordeals is truly inspirational and uplifting.

This work combines the best of Stephen King's horror adventure and Peter Straub's suspense, and builds relentlessly to a climax that tugs on the emotion strings like few other books have.

Summary: Imaginative little bastard.......
Review: It took me about five months and six books to get past page 31 but when I did I was HOOKED!! I was enthralled by the great use of fantasy, horror and emotions, all of which became more and more persistent as the book went along. It is a must read on my bookshelf...

Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ
Review: Reading this book made me feel like I was travelling on the journey with Jack. I could not put the book down. I hope the make a movie about it.

Summary: Don't read much but glad I read this one
Review: Read this book traveling West Coast to East so probably passed Wolf at some point. It was a lot of work at first but once you get the flow of switching back and forth between planes I became addicted. Couldn't wait to find out what happened next and feared how it would end.

Summary: The Greatest Story I Have Read
Review: The tapestry of style and genres exhibited by both authors is incredible in this work. When I started reading this book for the first time, it was 3:00 on a lazy afternoon. I became so enthralled I refused to put it down, turning page after alluring page, not even eating, reading on until 4:00 am when my eyes no longer would stay open. As soon as I awoke I again continued my journey through the deeply textured world of fantasy created by the bitter taste of King's demented sweetness and Straubs isolated mastery. This book is one of 10 non-fiction books I own and I have recommended it to every avid reader I have met. It's sheer perfection tantalized me more than the need to eat, I think that alone says enough.

Summary: Best book I have ever read keeps your glued to the page
Review: He uses sword and sorcery combined with supernatural ans science-fiction. When jack started to flip between worlds it got so interesting that i had to keep reading to the end i did and finished it in one day.

Summary: A King Classic
Review: The Talisman is an exquisitely formed masterpiece. King's down-to-earth writing style is infused with Straub's wild and incomprehensible flights of fancy. The two authors complement each other and the strenghs of both emerge in the process. The only downfall of the book is its wordiness but coming from Straub and King that is to be expected. Also for the ardent King fan, look for the Dark Tower undertones that surface throughout the book. Enjoy a masterpiece.
