Summary: GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: A wonderful look at how things might be on an alternate world. The story of a young boy who must learn to switch from one relm to another in order to save the life of his mother while trying to escape the people who would rather see her dead. In the end the boy finds out how he almost died as an infant and learns that life is precios. A beutifully written book. Can't wait to see if there is a movie.

Summary: FAR OUT AND I DO MEAN FAR.
Review: this is stephen king's #1 book (right beside insomnia). The thing about this book is king's outstanding ability to reflect a touching (somewhat twisted, but nevertheless touching)look upon life and its deep purpose. There is a nice smooth distinct beetween the good characters and the undeniable bad characters. There is no mistake as for jack's motive to go out on the spoken mission,to get the talisman which is of-course to cure his dear mother from the bloody cancer. If you have not read this book, you can not imagine what you're missing on.To my personal opinion, the main point of the book is to show us that,no matter what role you play in each and every world in which you apear, you will always down beneath stay the same. The ending of the book is a magnificent ending in favor for all good over bad in each and every ones of those other worlds (including ours naturaly). Before I finish writing this review about the book I would just like to thank the incredible stephen king (richard bachman)for sharing this incredible text.So THANKS ALOT!!!!!!!

Summary: A Great New Epic - Hobbit Style!
Review: The only fault I can find with this book is that on more than one occasion, there are close and loving homosexual feelings with Jack and Wolf, and Jack and Richard. The writing made them tender though not specific, although there was a good deal of kissing, it would have been nice to think that their love was developed. (Heaven only knows what happened to poor Richard after the last page) This is a long read, and on some days, I felt that there could have been a satisfactory close to the episode I was reading without some of the long drawn out sections.

But content wise, the story is excellent and the characters well developed and easy to get to grips with. This is probably my favourite book this year, but then I haven't finished "N is for Noose" (Sue Grafton) which could easily take that slot.

I would be interested to know how two such talented writers decide which bits are written by who, and how the dickens they set about it.

A great epic which will be popular and re-read by me for many years to come.

Summary: The Best Book Ever Written
Review: I've been a fan of Stephen King for eight years now. I read this book when I was in college. I have been collecting SK novels since then. The first novel I read of King was Pet Sematary. My favorite... The Talisman. Not only because King wrote it along with one of my favorite authors, Peter Straub, but the book is loaded with mysticism and emotions. It was so hard to locate a copy in the Philippines. When I got to the States, the first book that I bought was The Talisman. A dream come true for me. I'm planning to read it again tonight because I want to be enthralled once more. I really wish King and Straub would collaborate once more to write a novel such as this. If not, maybe a movie could be created out of this.

Summary: Great Book
Review: This book combined the best element of fantasy with a slight sense of King's horror.

Summary: The Master's Best!!
Review: The other day someone asked me what my favorite book was. Without even having to think about it, I said "The Talisman". The other reality the characters travel to is so real, you feel you are there. As long a the book is (700+ pages), I wished it was twice as long!!!

Summary: An AWESOME interdimensional trip!
Review: I have an insatiable appetite for King's writing. Once again, this book is a fascinating journey into the mind of the master storyteller. It's a collaboration with Peter, but I can pick out Stephen's verses everytime. They stand out from the rest. When he tells it, everyone is amazed and enthralled. He has an uncanny ability to create natural, down - to -Earth characters, that folks can actually like and respect. It's an absolute delight to read.

Summary: Hard to put down....
Review: This was one of the best novels I've read. It is a huge book(770+ pages)but goes very quickly. It puts you on a roller-coaster adventure starting at about page 50. If you like The Dark Tower series by King, this will entertain you, no doubt. You may also notice the possibility of a future "Tower" book where the Characters in "The Talisman" run in to the "Tower" Characters.

Summary: PUT YOUR KNITTING DOWN GRANNY, IT'S GONNA BE A BUMPY RIDE!
Review: Wow! I went through a Stephen King phase in my early 20's. It started when I bought a load of his paperbacks at a local yard sale {they always seem to frequent yard sales don't they}. I peckered through 'The Dead Zone', 'Carrie' {they're all going to laugh at you!} and 'Skeleton Crew' but, yep, you guessed it...'The Talisman' was in a league of it's own! The beginning, albeit slow, warms you up to the characters. It perfectly describes the mediocre atmosphere of Jacks surroundings..this is where I got a bit impatient but then the whole book takes a 360 and you just can't put the book down! What a ride! I feel like reading it again.....I think I'll go to another yard sale this saturday, it's bound to show up.

Summary: My favorite Stephen King book!
Review: I am only 14 so and haven't read many books, but of the ones that I have read this is by far the best.
