Summary: BEST BOOK I HAVE EVER READ!!!!!
Review: I have been reading books for as long as I can remember, but no book before or since has captivated my attention like Swan Song. It was recommended to me by my mother, who had already read it twice by then. I thought it would take me forever to read it because if a book does not interest me within the first few pages I put it down and forget about it for days, but Swan Song had me hooked within a few paragraphs. I finished it in three days. Robert McCammon is one of the greats and it is a shame that he is no longer writing horror fiction.

Summary: A Gripping tale of Nuclear Horror and its Aftermath
Review: This book is solidly written for a roller coaster edge of your seat ride! Graphically descriptive with fantastic characters and an unbelievable plot, it holds you captive until the very end. McCammon is truly a master of horror!

Summary: Reading that will haunt you forever
Review: I read this book approx 5 years ago and also couldn't put it down. It's a humanly possible result of a holocaust. I've searched for this book for the past 5 years again and am not surprised that I found it at Amazon. Keep up the great work & watch for my order !

Summary: A fully satisfying read
Review: For anyone who read Stephen King's "The Stand" and liked the overall concept but felt it read more like a soap opera with a bit of horror coloring the edges, Swan Song is a book for you. McCammon's characters are more unique, and developed through the action, rather than outside it, as was the case in "The Stand", allowing for a much richer and involving narrative thrust. But the true joy of this book is the humanity that surges up out of the shadows of McCammon's devastated, epic landscape. It will move you, frighten you and entertain you. An absolute "must-have" for fans of the genre.

Summary: I could NOT put this book down!
Review: I read this book in 3 days time (& its a BIG book). I would read until 4 or 5 am, sleep and hour or two, go to school, go to work, come home and start in again. This is a very powerful book, it has everything: magic, villians, romance... I have read it many times since then and its incredible every time. Its even better than Stephen King.

Summary: Totally great book. Lives up to all expectations.
Review: Swan Song is one of the best books that I've ever read. It's a real page turner. You really don't want to put it down until the very end. If you like horror, sci-fi, thriller or anything that raises goosebumps then McCammon is the Author for you.

Summary: The Greatest Story Ever Told!!!
Review: Swan Song is the best book I've ever read. Robert McCammon is the best author on this planet. I read The Stand a few years after Swan Song and I'm afraid it's no competition.
Unfortunately Robert McCammon books are quite difficult to get hold of in the UK, especially his latest titles, but that won't deter me from being his biggest fan.

Summary: Swan Song does not take a swan dive!!!!
Review: If you enjoy a well written book with fully developed characters that blends science-fiction, horror, mystery and adventure put Swan Song at the top of your reading list. Robert R. McCammon brings a post-apocolyptic world to life as no one has before. His characters each have their own personality and the reader can easily relate to their trials and tribulations. McCammon weaves an intricate picture of life in a world gone crazy. He invents bizarre societies that mirror their pre-apocolyptic decendants. This was a book that I could not put down and never wanted to end. Another excellent book in this genre is Lucifer's Hammer - all I can say is it's the same, but different!

Summary: One of the best books I ever read,
Review: I think I read this book in the late 1980's when it came out and was totally hooked immediately. I've also read The Stand and liked it, but Swan Song has it beat. The fight between good and evil is chillingly real and the characters are so interesting. I keep remembering the scene "Attention K-mart Shoppers!". As an adult, it takes a lot for me to get spooked anymore, but this one did it. The spookiness reminds me of Dean Koontzs--Midnight. Read it -- you won't be disappointed.

Summary: Almost as good a storyline as Star Wars
Review: I've read this particular novel ten times and still pick up on suttle plots and humour. Given that the threat (hoefully!) of thermal nuclear war is gone, this is a good insight as to how humanity may react afterwards.
