Summary: A neoclassic of suspension thrillers
Review: I was first handed a paperback copy of Swan Song from a friend in High School. Since then, it has occupied a special place on the shelf. Swan Song is a gripper. It brings us our fears and our hopes and pits them one on one. And only we as the observers get to see the battle played out from one side of the country to the other. It leaves The Stand lying in a pool of its own blood and allows us to hope just one more time in a sometimes hopeless world.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Epic View of hope in a dismal time in the near future.
Review: An incredible journey into the mind of Robert McCammon. Swan Song allows us to view ourselves as we really are and lets us fear how life could be if our faces froze in a mirror image our souls.

Summary: stephen who?
Review: I read "The Stand" first and threw it across the room when I was done. What a rip-off ending! Then I read "Swan Song" and knew what an apocalyptic novel should be. Brilliant, lyrical, and without a doubt the best horror novel I've ever read. Best of all, no deus ex machina ending. How original! Are you listening, Mr.King? END

Summary: I don't think I will ever find a better book!!
Review: I have read Swan Song over 20 times, and I swear i read something different everytime. I have yet to find anything better. The only book I have found that comes close is The Stand, and even though I have read it more than a dozen times it still misses something that Swan Song has. I have read all of Robert McCammon's books and I would recomend them all. I am now on my 5th copy of Swan Song and I will be ordering a new one soon. I have well over a dozen friends who have borrowed this book and everyone of them asked to read it again. I only wish it would never had to come to an end.

Summary: Swan Song is a MUST read!!
Review: I was told if I liked The Stand then I would love Swan Song. I picked up the book on a Saturday afternoon and finished it 3 days later, and its almost 1,000 pages.... Once you start reading this book you will not want to put it down, its fantastic. Robert McCammon creates characters that live and breathe in your mind. You find yourself laughing and crying along with Swan, Sister, and Josh... and the many others that live in their world. From nuclear devastated New York City, to barren landscapes, to a cellar in a blasted cornfield, you are drawn into this terrifying world. I dont like to compare Swan Song to The Stand, because they are both masterpieces in my mind, but I would agree if you like one, you will like the other. Swan Song is one of the few books I want to have at my side at all times. I'm only waiting until I can read it again! Do yourself a favor and read this book!

Summary: Has taken over as My Favorite Book of Alltime
Review: Before I read Swan Song my favorite book was the Stand by Stephen King. This book is excellent and is well worth the Read!My favorite character has to be Josh. That was awesome how he got through that Supermarket. I never heard of McCammon until somebody recommended it. Excellent author and I am probably going to read Wolfs Hour next...

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The only book besides "The Stand" I have read over and over.
Review: The story just takes you away. The characters are so rich and Robert R. McCammon draws you in so you feel like you are part of the story. I have recommended this book to several friends who have not ended up reading it probably because of how long it is, but it is well worth your time. The story is along the lines of Stephen King's "The Stand" (also one of my favorite books) but don't think you can skip "Swan Song" beacuse you have read "The Stand". Every library needs both!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The BEST book ever!
Review: This book is the greatest book ever! It starts out slow and gives you an idea of what the characters are like. All of the sudden you are reading at break-neck speed along a devasted landscape and cant put the book down! The good is definitely good and can't be brought down no matter what get's thrown at them! You want to see the evil get pulverized in any way possible! I can't think of anyone I'd rather see killed than these characters! If you have the chance to read this, it is worth every second of time it takes to get through it. Don't miss any details, if you do, then the book is ruined. Pay attention!!!!!!!! Have fun and happy reading!

Summary: The master? McCammon!
Review: Thae only time I cried during this book was when there were no more pages to read. It's been compared to King's "The Stand," but King is not worthy of the comparison. McCammon shames King in this novel. Altough I am a King fan, and this novel is so intense, if you can put it down you are a better man than I am. Cheers to McCammon.

Summary: Few Can Compare...
Review: There are only two other books that have gripped as much as this one: Pierced by a Sword by Bud MacFarlane, Jr. (THE best fiction novel I have ever read!), and The Stand by Stephen King. Those of you who have read either one, you know what I mean!
