Summary: Awesome
Review: This is an awesome tome (956 fast pages)filled with McCammon's usual horror, but is much more that that. Swan has the gift of life and wins the war of good vs. evil. If any horror book can be called faith inspiring, this is it. Awesome. This is McCammon's best!

Summary: Amazing, fascinating, and stunningly beautiful.
Review: Swan Song is an amazing story, with rich characters that BEG to be imagined. Set in a well-conceived, post-apocalyptic world that, while dead, lives vividly in the mind of the reader. Follow the main characters over a period of more than seven years as they stumble towards an amazing conclusion where everything is at stake.

Summary: Wow!
Review: Blows King's 'The Stand' completely out of the water!! One of the best (and longest!) books I've ever read - you won't put this down, until you finish it! Worth more than one read!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The Stand fans...you'll love this one!
Review: For those of you who loved Stephen King's The Stand, this book rivals it. The characters are true to life and you will not put it down! Following the people in this inspiring book, you will come face to face with evil and see goodness prevail. It is truly beautiful and horrendous at the same time. Feel the pain and joy, despair and hope from a destroyed earth due to the final button being pushed by the powers that be and watch the comeback from humans who do not give up. Truly remarkable!

Summary: The best book ever written!!
Review: Like most of the other reviewers, I was a die hard Stephen King....until I borrowed Swan Song from a friend, having never heard of Robert McCammon before....needless to say the friend regretted lending me the book....he never got it back!! I read it often, and have now turned four friends onto it...I was on Amazons website ordering it for a fifth friend....I dont lend out mine!! and decided to write a review so that anyone in two minds about Swan Song would order it immediately! Buy it, borrow it or somehow read it...you wont regret it!!

Summary: I just read it again, for the FOURTH time!!
Review: I pick up this book about every two years, usually because I havn't found anything else to read. Each time is better then the last. I think it has to be one of the best stories ever written. I've turned many friends onto SWAN SONG and everyone loves it. Its one of those books you really can't put down. JHB

Summary: Great Read - few, if any, top it! I read it twice.
Review: Before I found Swan Song I felt the best book I ever read was King's The Stand. I read both the cut and uncut versions. And like a previous reviewer, I thought no one could top it. Then, while browsing the horror section I saw this huge, thick book and pulled it out. Read the back. Sounded OK, so I bought it and read it. Well, it wasn't OK. It was phenominal!

I couldn't wait to reach the end to see how it turned out. But when I did I was saddened that I had to say goodbye to wonderful characters and a great story. So a few years later - I read it again!

Since, I have introduced this book to a number of people. All who read it LOVE it! And even a few of them have re-read it within a couple year's time. It really is THAT GOOD!

The Stand was good - but Swan Song is phenominal! I recommened this to everyone!

And a side note: like another reviewer said, McCammon's Boy's Life is a good read too. Once again, he gives you characters you get wrapped up in in a story worth getting involved with. I suspect I'll go back and pick it up again someday.

Summary: Engrossing!!!
Review: I've read every book both McCammon and King have written and Swan Song brought one thing special to the avid reader...thought envoking believability which made me personnaly reach deep inside myself to ask (which character would I be?) If you like to fall deep within a book and it's world this is the book for you, it may quite possibly cause you to ask yourself questions you don't want the answers to. I applaude the author on this book.

Summary: This book takes you on an adventure!
Review: I read this book about 10 years ago. I still remember the complete feeling of heart pounding, sweat inducing horror and excitement. You feel as if you are right there with the characters. The thought of this actually taking place, and the fear of these horrific characters actually existing in our world today takes over your mind and your imagination. I was unable to put this book down until it was all over. Since then, I've lent this book out to many friends, and when it didn't make it's way back to me, I bought it again just to lend it to more friends! READ IT!!

Summary: INCREDIBLE!!!! A MUST READ
Review: This book is out of this world. Truley extraordinary, McCammon delivers a enthralling piece of literature. This will keep your up all night, and once you finish you will be yearning for me. I am a Stephen King and Dean Koontz fan, and this surpasses both by far.
