Summary: Only half a good story
Review: I have read every vampire book from Anne Rice and I was quite disappointed as I continued on through the weak story line that seemed only to exist so that Ms. Rice could have a background for her explicit scenes of pedophilia. Although I am not offended by homosexual behavior, I am offended by any sexual behavior with children. If Armand was not even producing semen, he was indeed a child.

However, I trudged through and finally got to the kidnapping of Armand. At that point the tone completely changed and I felt as though I was reading Rice from her earliest vampire novels.

This is one of those rare cases where sticking with a disappointing book actually pays off.

Summary: A waste of time
Review: This book is childish nonsense. Not only does it have no meaning, but it is boring. Save your time and money for something worthwhile.

Summary: Okay Anne, I was with you right up until this one.
Review: I have enjoyed all the books in the Vampire Chronicles immensely- right up until this one. Aramnd was a bit dissappointing. Perhaps Ms. Rice should concentrate on being the quality writer I know she is. We can wait a couple years for the next installment Anne, as long as it's up to your usual standards

Summary: one of her best works !!
Review: I have to disagree with most of the people who have reviewed this book. In my humble opinion, 'The vampire Armand' is one of Anne's absolutely best works. Yes, at some points she describes things maybe a little vividly, but all in all after the first few pages of reading I could hardly put this book down !! I've always wanted to know Armand's whole story, and now that I finally got to read it... I think I understand his actions better ; how he became the vampire he is nowadays. I can hardly wait for the next installation of vampire chronicles, Anne !

Summary: So much more than just 3 stars
Review: I feel this book was absolutely incredible. The level of passion, and eternal tragedy made the read enjoyable and indulging. Armand is my favorite of all the vampires, and it was my dream come true to read a book completely dedicated to him. The only problem I had with it were the two new vampires he made. Other than that, Bravo Anne Rice. It's about time Armand got center stage.

Summary: What the hell happened to Amand the bad guy?
Review: I think that Anne Rice needs to make up her mind on wether she wants Armand to be a bad guy or a good guy. Also why the hell does she skip all the bad things that Armand had supposedly done in the past? This is her worst work yet.

Summary: Too descriptive, poor narrator
Review: I didn't enjoy this book on tape. There was too little action and interaction among the characters. In this book Rice describes everything in excruciating, unnecessary, and unending detail. Jonathan Marosz was a poor choice of narrator. Different character's voices were sometimes hard to distinguish. He just didn't bring them to life as others have (Frank Muller).

Summary: This book was wonderfull! i love anne rice
Review: she did it again!!!! i read this i thought it rocked in fact i liked it so much i read it twice, Ive only had it two months too! i think anne needs to tell the storys of all the vampires, especially all the individuals named in queen of the damned. There were so many that it was a little hard to follow. i love you anne!!!!!!!! and all you losers that think the book sucked well maybe you should read something like the baby sitters club.

thank you

Summary: Patience my dears...
Review: If you are patient with this novel and allow the character of Armand to develop it brings forth a lovely story. The life of Armand may not have been as lavish as that of Lestat, but it did yield a rather intriguing story. There were times in the novel that nothing could have torn me away from it....and there were other times in which I wasn't as compelled by the story. But then isn't that just like life... it can not always be a "page-turner" sometimes we merely exist.

Summary: The worst of the Vampire Chronicles. No more Vampire please.
Review: It has a good start but it became very dragging. Her reason as to how Armand survive was not even convincing. I think it is obvious that Anne Rice has run out of plots to tell about the Vampire Chronicles.
