Rating: Summary: Hamilton has done better Review: I thought this one was to far removed from the Anita in the previous books. I liked Richard much better in this story, than in previous ones. I don't think Anita deserves Jean-Claude in this book, but she doesn't deserve Richard either. I would like to see a new love interest for Jean-Claude, that is a strong as he is but human or human qualities. Get Anita away from him
Rating: Summary: Weaker Than Other Entries, But I Still Want More Review: In this entry in the Anita Blake chronicles, Hamilton finally has Anita deal with her squeamishness when it comes to sex. There was a lot of dialog, but the plot wasn't as strong as I'd like it to have been. Overall though, it's still a great read. I love this series. Does anyone know when the next book is due out?
Rating: Summary: Yet another triumph in the Anita Blake series. Review: When Anita goes to help out Richard, who has been accused of rape you are again hit by how loyal and human Anita really is. Because even though she and Richard haven't really gotten along to well since she left him for Jean-Claude,she's still there for him when the going gets tough. I did, however, miss the presence of Jean-Claude in this tale of the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series.
Rating: Summary: HOW MANY GUYS CAN ANITA GRIND? Review: I lost count of the number of men Anita had on top of her for one reason or another. Is that really necessary? Another recurring theme is endless descriptions of clothing and/or hair. Will somebody please shave Richard's head!? I'm sick of reading about his hair "foaming" around his shoulders. I enjoyed the earlier books where there was at least a minimal plot, but these later books are filled with contrivances to put Anita into one "sexy" situation after another. Give it a rest, please! I want to read about vampires and werewolves, not "Anita Does St Louis." One last gripe: I liked it better when Anita wasn't gifted with almost godlike powers. I find it difficult to identify with a character like that.
Rating: Summary: TERRIFIC! Review: I liked Blue Moon much better than the other seven books.I personaly prefer Richard over JeanClaude,so I was happy to see the change in Anita I hope she goes back to him for good.I think Laura,s writing has developted a great deal since her first book.I would strongly suggest, and have this book to several people who agree with me.Except for the ending!
Rating: Summary: Jean Claude, where are you? Review: I'm totally addicted to the Anita Blake series, but where was Jean Claude in this book? Too far away for my taste. The beginning was so hot, but when Anita left him behind, things cooled down fast. I can't seem to warm up to Richard, but he is "filled out" a little more in this book. This latest in the series took a couple of interesting turns and I'm looking forward to the next installment.
Rating: Summary: A bit overgrown... Review: This was the first Anita Blake book that I've read. It wasn't very clear from the cover that it was part of a series, so I picked it up (in a hurry, which I usually am not).It wasn't a very good read, simply because the past however-many-books keep intruding with little events and the vast past history (more than three normal people's lives) is overgrown and complex. For a first time reader it would have been better if a lot of that stuff got forgotten! Also, there was too much sexual "tension" here and it made it hard to care for most of the characters (starting from zero). The writing was fun, though. I *may* go read some more of Hamilton's stuff, but I really can't recommend this book on its own merits.
Rating: Summary: I hate it Review: I wanted to give the book zero stars but I can't so I have to settle for one. I have really loved off the other AB books but I found this one only completely unreal but also just plain trashy. Even if some of the other books had trash in them it wasn't really noticed because the book moved at a fast pace and there was blood gore and fights. This book had nothing to it. My friend read the first ten chapters and told me that she also thought it was trash. There wasn't any of LKH's normal flair and to tell you the truth i think she should've visited caffine land for this one if the need be. The only thing that made me keep reading this book was Jason. I've grown really fond of Jason just cuz he's always funny. I'm beginning to hope that Anita justs ditches Richard (yahhhh!!) and Jean Claude (snivel) and go out with Jason or Edward. That was another thing. Edward is probably the coolest character in the books and he wsan't in this one. I've finished ranting I still think that this was poorly written, in other words, it sucked the big one.
Rating: Summary: Fire the editor! Review: Is it just me, or has the editing gotten even sloppier? I cannot give this book the highest rating it deserves for content due to the constant typos, missing and incorrect words I had to battle just to read the story.
Rating: Summary: This is the best one yet!!! Review: Anita, Richard and various other characters are more developed in this novel. Although at times it seems unrealistic, it is very realistic. The characters are being more developed and LKH is growing further as a writer. I had to read this book in one sitting.
