Summary: Another example of the series' increasing sensuality.
Review: What ever happened to good old humans? It seems Anita has crossed over to the side of the "monsters", but it is difficult to discern at times who the real monsters are. Anita's pension to kill first and think later was disconcerting and the amount of the text tied up with sex made me question if I was reading a sci-fi/horror book or a romance novel.

But, on the strength of the series as a whole I would recommend this book, especially because at the end of Blue Moon Anita seems to be getting back to the Anita we first met in Guilty Pleasures, and Hamilton seems to be righting the ship a bit.

Summary: Why?
Review: I just don't understand it. Why would a girl, any girl, be so caught up over a man who cannot accept who she is? Anita has a handsome, incredibly romantic lover in Jean-Claude. He has proven in the previous books to be completely in love with her but more than that, he accepts everything about her. (An inherently sexual man, he even remained celibate during the time they weren't together!) Why she continues to be hung up over a guy who can't seem to accept her more violent tendencies (and has shown he would not be able to accept her if she were a vampire/were-person) completely boggles the mind. Final comment, it is getting rather ridiculous the number of vampires/were-people who are hung up over the girl. I mean, enough is enough already.

Summary: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY!
Review: HAS HAMILTON DEVELOPED A BRAIN TUMOR?BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY PLAUSIBLE REASON I CAN SEE FOR THE WAY SHE RUINED A GREAT CHARACTER AND A STRONG PLOT. INSTEAD OF READING ABOUT'' ANITA BLAKE, VAMPIRE HUNTER'' I WASTED 2 HOURS READING A BOOK THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED ANITA AND THE GOD DAMNED WERES. THIS BOOKS MEDIOCRE PLOT CENTERED AROUND ANITA GETTING LAID.

Summary: Blue Moon is The best so far- Kenny
Review: Blue moon got down dep into the workings of the pack and pard. I love the little rules and regulations they all have to follow. I love the weres better than the vampires, and Richard better than Jean-Claude. Though....I'm more of a cherry fan...hahaha

Summary: Great! Surprisingly one word says it all
Review: This book like many others of Hamilton's includes Anita(Necromancer), Jean-Claude(Master Vampire), and Richard(WereWolf). These three characters are always getting tangled up in plots and such. In Blue Moon Richard is in jail for some chumped up charges convicting him of Rape. Anita can hardly believe it she would think of Murder before rape with Richard. She flies out to the wilds of Tennesse to free him. She only has a few days till the Blue Moon. Which is the Second Fll moon in the month. I loved this book and all have read the whole Anita Blake Series and am looking forward to her new book coming out soon

Summary: Sensuality is NOT a crime!
Review: I enjoyed the book. Yes, the characters have altered. No, I'm not completely comfortable with that. However, I am intruiged by the fact that the characters are altering. I think that I would be terribly bored by the 7nth book had they not changed or revealed new facets of themselves. I have read many reveiws which complain about the sexual tensions etc. I can't help but think,"prude." Personally, I really enjoy the sensuality...especially when it involves the monsters. Anita is NOT doing St. Louis. Yeah, she experiences attraction to several different beings. Big deal. That's life. Who doesn't encounter others to whom one might be attracted? If you're a prude, you probably shouldn't be reading this series to begin with. Go back to your safer best sellers, where the lines are never pushed and mediocrity rules, because that's where you belong.

Summary: True blue Anita Blake, but sadly leaning toward the cliche.
Review: I discovered Hamilton's Anita Blake series just when I like to, after there is already a generous amount of novels are already out there. Unfortunately, though, in reading them back to back you tend to notice some repetitiveness. Does any of this sound familiar to the fans?

"My Browning hi power is an extension of my hand..."; "I left the top two buttons undone so I could reach my gun..."; "Jean-Claude was wearing a clasp at the collar of his shirt..."; "Skin tight leather...second skin...no underwear..."; "If I needed more than *blank* bullets, I was in trouble..."

Don't get me wrong, I love the characters and the world she has created. As long as she keeps writing them, I'll keep buying. But I have one thing to say.

Sarcastic. Who, me? Ri--ght.

Summary: Better Than Expected!
Review: After Burnt Offerings, I was getting a little tired of the Richard/Jean Claude thing and was wondering how Ms. Hamilton was going to put to bed (no pun intended) this whole situation.

Well, she handled it much better than I expected. While I was prepared to spend the whole book with Anita jumping in bed with Richard and being weepy (since the last book she spent with Jean-Claude), there was actually very little of that.

The best part, was that Anita was back to her old self more or less. She realizes she's being used and makes a decision about both men.

And on top of bringing closure the the "who to sleep with" delimma, the story itself was really good and a fun read.

As usual, I can't wait for the next book. This was definitely a good read.

Summary: The very BEST Anita Blake story yet!
Review: From the first story Guilty Pleasure, I have been hooked on Anita Blake. I love how her character has grown and LOVE the interaction between her and her two lovers. I can hardly wait for the next installment of Ms. Hamilton's books. I have all eight! Is there a ninth in the wings/claws?
