Rating: Summary: Crash! Review: That is the sound that a Stephen King novel makes as it enters its final forty pages. King is almost unmatched in his ability to entice a reader into his stories, much like Pennywise the clown entices children to their death in "IT." Stephen King so often promises great rewards and leads the reader to believe that the end will be worth being engrossed in 400-plus pages of prose, but with the exception of "The Stand," he lures the reader into his web and then rewards the reader with a fate worse than death by Pennywise, a wasted read. Could it be that Stephen King himself is the ultimate embodiment of evil to the reading world
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever written!!! Review: King truly outdoes himself with this story spanning 30 years. An ancient terror haunts the town of derry maine, and 7 youths team up to fight it. Kings best book!!!!
Rating: Summary: The greastest King book written. Review: Something's been festering in Derry, Maine. Something so old, it's evil stretches beyond the existence of mankind. In 1958, seven young people embark on a mission to kill the evil for good. They think they have.
In 1985, the killing starts again. And now, those seven must return to make good on a promise to kill IT if IT ever came back.
This easily outdoes every King book ever written. His style and form make IT a world which the reader is unable to escape from. Using flashbacks and paralells like no other author can, King has written The Masterpiece
Rating: Summary: Excellent, King surprised me Review: This was one of the first Stephen King books that I read. I loved it so much, I have since read almost every book he
has in print. It kept me up way past the early morning hours. I just had to
keep reading to find out what the extremely exciting, in depth
and original plot was going to bring up next. If depth is what
you are looking for, go no further. King offers his best by
giving every detail in on of his greatest books.
Rating: Summary: KINGRULESKINGRULESKINGRULESKINGRULES Review: A great book by all means! Stephen King's masterfully crafted tale concerning a shapeshifter in the small town of Derry, and six children's sworn oath to stop it (after they've killed it) if it ever comes back shows King in top form. If fans miss this, They are missing the best mordern horror novel in print
Rating: Summary: If you name books, you name this one! Review: One of my favorite books. Beautiful horror in the innocent youth
Rating: Summary: His best since Dark Half. Review: It is a magnificent book interwining the lives of 7 people so deeply that they couldn't even comprehend it.
You fly through the +1000 pages faster than you could imagine and by the end, you feel as though the characters were so known to you that you could pick them out in New York city.
The most incredible character development I have ever read.
No other book has captivated me.
I would rate this book right on par with his earlier Daek Half and that is not something easily acheived.
For those of you who loved this book, give The Dark Half a go. It is great too.
Rating: Summary: My favorite King book Review: By the time I finished reading IT, I felt as if I personally knew all the characters. You will get so "into" reading the book, that you feel you would be able to pick those people out if you saw them walking down the street. It's a great read, it was the first time I read it, and after 15 readings, it still is
Rating: Summary: This book was intensely frightening. I didn't know what was Review: going to happen next and each new page surprised me. This was a good book. Enough said
Rating: Summary: King at his best!!!!! Review: This book is large. And I mean large. but I'll tell ya
It is the best King novel to date. The intertwining of the characters along with the timeshifts, between the past and present, are perfectly fantastic. The main character of the
book has to be the best alterego in recent literature. If you like books along the lines of King, you will not be able
to put It down. It will seem as if you zipped through the 1000+ pages and you'll still be wanting more.
