Summary: Scary, but not that scary.
Review: If you've taken the time to read a book over 1,100 pages, you must've liked it otherwise you wouldn't have wasted your time. This book went into a lot of detail about each character's past and present to give the reader the sense that he really knew each one of them. I thought this could've been scaled down some to make the book less of a chore to get through. There was also less a sense of menace about Pennywise than there was about Jack in "The Shining" (in my opinion a better book). I never did get totally involved in the terror and thought the ending was a little out there. But all said and done, it was a worthwhile read and second only to "The Shining" of King's books.

Summary: One kick-ass thriller!!!!!!!!!!
Review: I have read the book three times and I still dont't get tired of it. Pennywise is excellent. Stephen king's best work went into "IT"!!!!!!!!!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: An extrordinary novel
Review: It was some months ago that i read "It". It stands in my mind as one of the few spiritual experiences I have ever had reading. What is extrordinary about this novel is not so much the scares King provides or the way he provides them, but the way he weaves realisitic, and at times poignant human drama in with a cracking good horror yarn. When, except in perhaps in Jaws and "The Exorcist", have you been able to relate so effortlessly to horror story characters? As for the movie, it does not live up to the novel (HOw could it possibly?) but it is underrated, with a good cast, and a wholehearted attempt to capture the subtext of King's work.

Summary: Long, but that's the best of it...
Review: Since I was little, clowns always had scared me bad , that's why I didn't want to read It, besides I thought it was so long it probably got kind of boring sometimes... but then I started reading and right away realized all the details King gives are what makes the book so great. And Pennywise DID scared me (A LOT). Anyway... it's thrilling all the long way through and you come to know the characters so well (thanks to all the descriptions you understand each of them perfectly) it's like they are your own friends. If you love King's book, you'll love this one, that's for sure...

Summary: IT is one of the scariest novels Stephen King has ever wrote
Review: It was the scariest book I have ever read. The characters were just right for the book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: IT sucks you deep into that black void we call terror...
Review: IT is unconditionally the best of King's works. He takes you so far into the minds of his characters that you BECOME them. This tale is so real and absorbing, you don't know where you leave off and the book begins. Each child is someone you know, and no matter how many times you read IT you can no more put the book down than you can turn out the light.....

Summary: King's Best!!
Review: Simply the scariest book that I have ever read! Reading it prompted me to start my own evil clown page, and it is amazing how many letters I receive from people that were seriously traumatized by this book. The way that King switches back and forth between past and present is brilliant. You also feel like you know all of the characters personally after only a few chapters. This is the rare book that I can read over and over and still get freaked out over.

Summary: Nothing compares to this book.
Review: This is the best book I have ever read in my entire life. This was the first King book I ever read and I have read about five since then including "The Stand" and none of them even come close to how good this book is. If you've never read a King book start with this.

Summary: Scariest Bood Ever!
Review: I'll just say this, When I went to bed at night, I wouldn't even sleep with the book in my house. I would run into the backyard, and hurl the book way out onto the lawn. I wouldn't retrieve it until the sun came up the next day!

Summary: We all float down here...
Review: Im 14 years old, I read the book when I was 12, I saw the movie when I was 13, and Im still scared of clowns... you never what might be lurking in the sewers... you might end up floating too...
