Summary: MY FIRST AND BEST BOOK BY STEPHEN KING!!!
Review: I've heard a lot about Mr. King, and decided to give one of his books a try. A friend recommended IT after he read the first few chapters. Once I started, I could NOT put it down. It is one of the scariest and best written books I had ever read. I could actually see the town of Derry, and everything that happened there. It took me almost a month to finish it, but it was time well spent. Could've worked on the ending a little though...

Summary: IT wasthe BOMB!!
Review: This book was awesome! I tried to stop reading IT tons of times, but couldn't quit! The Losers club was so easy to identify with, and all the situations were so scary. I first watched the mini series and thought it was the scariest thing I had ever saw, then I decided to travel to the REAL depths of horror. READ THIS BOOK!!!!

Review: ALRIGHT, I'M NOT GONNA SAY ANYTHING ANY OF THE OTHER REVIEWS ON "IT" DIDN'T SAY, SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO READ THIS, BUT: "IT" IS THE BEST STEPHEN KING BOOK I'VE EVER READ AND IT HAS GREAT CHARACTERIZATION AND STUFF AND MEANWHILE IT'LL SCARE THE LIVING CRAP OUT OF YOU!!! OH YEAH, AND THE MINISERIES SUCKS SO DON'T WATCH IT: IT WILL BE A WASTE OF YOUR TIME. P.S. IF YOU REALLY WANT TO BE SCARED, READ SOMETHING BY H. P. LOVECRAFT, THE TRUE KING OF HORROR FICTION

Summary: This book ROCKS!
Review: This was one of the most enjoyable books I've ever read. I've read about 10 King novels and this is by far my favorite. IT is considerably better than THE STAND. The characters are better developed and more likeable. If you like to read and have a taste for dark stuff, then you will swear by this book. Otherwise, you'll just consider IT to be the only horror book you ever loved!

Summary: If you want to write horror read IT
Review: This was by far the most powerful book King has ever written. For those who wish to write I suggest reading this novel. Study the writing, the characters and see how the book flows into your lap like thick jelly. It is a teacher as well as a very good read.

Summary: Ah man, was this book GOOD!
Review: Even though I like The Stand just a teentsy weentsy bit better, this book was still excellent! I just finished it today and I just thought that the last paragraphy of the book ended it just right. In a way it was kind of sad too thinking back through out the book. Reading this book, the book becomes a part of you and it just is wonderful. Pennywise was VERY scary and creepy like. The Loser's friendship and love making them do something they don't even want to do is so powerful and SK writes the book perfectly. (It took him 4 years it better of been perfect.) It seems that all of SK's books that are over 1000 pages are his best. I think he should do another one of those. While reading the book and picturing "The Mummy" come to ben or the leper after Eddie is just so scary and I give two thumbs up to the King. Thinking back now, I wonder if Georgie's boat will ever be found.

Summary: IT
Review: I loved IT, I have read IT about 15 times and I love it evrytime. The Losers' are so farmiliar I cry when it becomes plain that they will forget eachother because I want nothing more than for them to be able to love each other the way they do for the rest of thier lives. And Pennywise is the ONLY King character that has (1) made it into my dreams and (2) I've had trouble kicking back out.

But let's get one thing straight ... the mini-series SUCKED!!!! Any attempt that has ever been made to translate King's work onto film has failed miserably with few enough exceptions that I could number them on my right hand. Most of the casting was weak, the magic of the Losers was competely lost with the exclusion of "minor" details, the acting blew, and both of the final battles with IT were minimized to these people chasing a spider (and if I have to explain to one more person that NO IT WAS NOT A SPIDER I'll scream) Were it not to Tim Curry's marvelous portrayal of Pennywise I would have put this mini-series right up (or should I say down) there with The Lawnmower Man in respect to faithfulness to the book.

But I really loved the book ...

Summary: ONE FOR THE MORE DIE HARD STEPHEN KING FANS!!!
Review: This title took a little while to get into, but the wait was definitely worth it. It all makes sense if you are prepared to put in the hard reading! By all means stick with it and you won't regret it!! Believe me!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A tale of horror fiction
Review: In this story, King creates fictional characters who are in every sense likeable. Their innermost thoughts are brought to light, and the readers can identify. However, the plot is thin, and most people in the story dont let their characters shine through. The fact that an eleven year old can terrorize other kids didnt sound right to me, and I thought the author bared his soul. Other than that, I liked the idea of it taking place in the 1960's and that we know what later become of the characters. For the most part, I think people should take the time to read this book.
