Rating: Summary: There are no words.... Review: This book is THE best book ever publsihed in any country. I have never read any book as scary as "It".. King gets into your mind and brings childhood horror to the surface of every single reader every chapter of the book. I have never read a book that stayed with me in such a way.
Rating: Summary: In two words: extremely scary Review: Stephen King's book has gone mental. Well, not the whole book but just "It". It was very cool and creative how he can make one certain character look into the minds of seven other characters and turn into their worst nightmares. Sometimes "It" can kill you, and sometimes you can kill "It".
Rating: Summary: The only book ever to give me nightmares!!! Review: "It" is one of my all time favorite SK books.I read it when I was 17 and haven't forgotten it since-and that was 11 years ago!!The movie PALES in comparison to the book. And the most frightening part of "It" is that it can see into your mind, know what scares you the most,and-POOF!-it becomes your worst nightmare.Well,if "It" could read MY mind,it would take the form of a horror novelist named Stephen King.
Rating: Summary: Stephen King's "IT", The First True American Epic Review: In this 1986 novel, Stephen King ultimately creates what could be the first true American epic novel. The characters are so well developed, and the detail is at an incredible high. This novel follows all the rules for an epic (starting at the middle, then returning to the beginning and going on until the end). The novel's villian, Pennywise, is a villain like no other, and King uses it's unique characteristics like no one else can. This was the first king novel I read, and none so far have matched the horror, and greatness that this novel has produced. This is one that you have to read, King fan or not!
Rating: Summary: Stephen King is truly a master!!! Review: Stephen King's It was really a good book. The only thing I did not like about it is that it was so descriptive it boggled my mind. Though I feel it was a minor turn-off, I still give it five stars. I think it was facinating when Richie and Mike went back in time and saw the coming of IT. Reader's who love horror, gore, creative stuff, and is patient will love this book.
Rating: Summary: The best book I ever read Review: "IT" is positively the most wonderful book I ever read. Until "IT" I looked down on fiction, especially the kind Stephan King wrote. "IT" is a journey into a strange New World and at the same time a link with childhood feelings I had forgotten. This is the story of Goods long hard struggle to defeat overpowering Evil. Real human experience and emotion come through this book more clearly than any non-fiction book I've ever read. Mr. King must be a person of tremendous insight.
Rating: Summary: SCARY! Review: The movie (which I witnessed at the age of 8) was bad enough, but the book is really grueling. It shatters your reality, at least while you're reading it. Do not read if you're one of those poor people who couldn't get a shower after watching A. H's 'Psycho', 'cause this tale is infinitley worse!
Rating: Summary: Still my favourite after 10 years Review: I read IT in summer 1988. Ten years later and I still haven't read a more engrossing, scary, poignant book. I may have gone off Stephen King, but not this book, which endures much more strongly. If only the pathetic TV movie of it had instead been a film by the likes of the 'Stand By Me' director (forget his name) or Steven Spielberg or James Cameron.
Rating: Summary: WOW! Review: I have been an SK fan since Salem's Lot and Carrie but I felt that his most recent works have fallen flat. I admit to being intimidated by the girth of a book and therefore didn't read this when it initially came out. I should have never gone this long without reading IT. The first 10 pages or so have to be SK's finest moment. I was spellboud from page one and was delighted with the ending. I am jealous towards those who have not read IT yet. I wish I was in their shoes. They have a treat coming to them. Way to go!
Rating: Summary: S-S-S-Stuttering Buh-Buh-Buh-Bill We love you!!! Review: THIS IS KING AT HIS PRIME!!! Although I'm 13 years old, I know good literature when I read it. The characters are all believable. It seems like a pefect monster, but the hope and faith of children will bring It to its knees, even if the kids have to grow up to do it. A MUST READ!!!!!!
