Rating: Summary: Outstanding!! Review: This was the first novel of the horror genre that I have read, and after hundreds of others, still the best. King intertwines the characters' pasts with the present for one outrageous ride!
Rating: Summary: his best Review: Stephen King's best book, without a doubt. The only one that comes close is The Stand. The book develops a real history and becomes very believable from the immaculate description. All the dialogue is realistic for the ages of the characters and the time periods. Perfectly seams together flashbacks with the modern lives of the main characters and never disappoints.
Rating: Summary: Flawless Review: I first read it when I was 1985 and I've read it at least once a year since. Its chilling, disturbing novel. This is an example of how good King's work was before he wrote the Tommyknockers and started to go downhill. The technique is flawless and the seamless linkages between the characters' past and present are pure genius. There are some things that do not hit you until the third or even fourth read. This book should be on the reading list for every high school.
Rating: Summary: Great! Pennywise kicks ass Review: I might be only fourteen, but I know a great book when I read one. This is one of them. As a teen, i could relate to some of the characters problems, (richie's in particular, I hated my glasses.) The characters are so drawn out you feel like you can see them, and feel bad for them. And even Pennywise, (the nemesis)was drawn out really well. One of the best books ever written.
Rating: Summary: 100% Captivating, 200% Mind Numbing -- Beyond words... Review: I first read "It" when I was stuck in a car for two days straight. I read the whole thing - in two days! I could not put it down. Not only was the plot supurb and the story thrilling, I honestly fell in love with the characters. Not since "The Lord of the Rings" have I EVER felt that way about a book.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: I like most Stephen King books a lot but this one is by far my favorite. Six men and one women go back to the town of Derry to Defeat an evil that they thought they had destroyed as children. 1090 pages long but worth the time it takes to read it.
Rating: Summary: The Best King Novel Review: This book is amazing.
Rating: Summary: Hauntingly creepy Review: It was an excellent and disturbing book that, no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't put down. It sent chills down my spine as the morbid story of a small New England town unwound.
Rating: Summary: "It": King At His Best Review: I recently concluded "It" and it is definitely one of King's best ever in my opinion. The work he does with the characters is astonishing. They first face "It" as seven young teenagers and later return to battle the unimaginable evil again as adults. "It" becomes any fear that they imagine, but the power that flows from the group baffles "It" which gives them the oppurtunity to fight. King creates this story with the ease of an artist, beautifully laying out the story on a canvas of words that flow from the book like a raging river. The best aspects are the suspense and fright that the story instills in the reader and the characters which the reader wishes he could stay with even when the story is done. This is possibly King's best work of all time. I only wish that I could give it more that five stars!
Rating: Summary: A magnificent tale of comradery, horror, and imagination. Review: Stephen King did a magnificent job with this one. The scenarios are vibrant, and you really feel like you're there. The characters exist with such exquisite detail that you feel like you know them by the end of the book. A must read!
