Rating: Summary: The ultimate horror novel! Review: Stephen King merges fantasy and reality very well. This is showcased brilliantly in this book. The scenes in this book are so descriptive, they'll shock the hell out of you. The old mini-series TV-TieIn Novel has the scariest cover for a book I've ever seen: Tim Curry, in full-on PennyWise face. But enough of this blathering... THis is the ultimate horror novel. If you ever have that sick urge to have the wits scared out of you, to have sleep stolen from you due to fright, then this book satisfies. Putting this book down is a true testament to one's willpower. Almost every scene in this book is captivatingly classic. This story has something for everyone. It is a great book to introduce to someone who has never read a horror novel. This is a book where they will find the true meaning of terror. A Classic.
Rating: Summary: This book was awsome from start to finish Review: SK has done it again with awsome detail and gore. This book was the best SK book that I have ever read although I am young I still know a lot about horror. There was only one downset as you can go chapter upon chapter without any action.
Rating: Summary: Amazing, Great book. Review: I have a little speech about books... A book is, if you don't mind me saying, a part of your life. Not just something you read. Good books make you feel part of the story. Or they make you think that the characters were your friend, and when something happens to them you feel a pang of fear, hate, depression, or guilt. IT is one of those books. You'll love it.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely one of King's best!!! Review: It has to be without a doubt (besides the Stand) King's all time best. Don't let the number of pages intimidate you. King uses so many frightening images in this story, you are guaranteed to sleep a few nights with the lights on. The terror that these kids feel (and again later when they are adults) hits you like a haunted trainwreck. Certain visuals that could not be duplicated in the TV miniseries are intact and hit you full force. Unlike many of King's later works where you have to turn a few pages between scares, It delivers non-stop. Through King's vivid descriptions, you truly feel like you know every nook and cranny in the evil little town of Derry. That's what makes it so scary, like having your own hometown haunted by an undying evil.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely amazing Review: I felt this was his best book. I think it was the scariest book i have ever read. Whenever I see a clown I see Pennywise and it has me scared to death.
Rating: Summary: Stephen King is the master of book horror!!!!! Review: The way Mr. King used each one of the children's fears against them was brilliant. The way he showed them as adults acting like kids because of fear, makes the reader realize that even adults are vulnerable. The ending is the best part but I will let you read IT and find out!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: The reappearance of the crazed clown is P-your pants scarey. Review: Steven King's brilliant writing of the It was created by a childhood image of The Bugs Bunny Show. The book is written about seven men and women who return to their hometown to face their childhood memories of a crazed clown. In their childhood they had magical powers to fight the clown; and after going back to try and regain those powers, they realize they have to defeat the clown by themselves without any magical powers.
Rating: Summary: IT delivers forceful horror, if you don't mind its crassness Review: I read this book after being impressed with Stephen King's "Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption." I was captivated because of King's ability to write engaging and believable characters. He does this even moreso in "It", but many of the characters are crude, crass, and have very little morals. In fact, it is sometimes hard to respect them as "the good guys," simply because they aren't very good(main character Beverly, age 11, having sex with the six boy "good guys" as a way to save their lives is a disgusting case-in-point) Aside from the crudeness of many characters and plot-devices, this book is very well written with a satisfying ending, and lots of runaway-train horror along the way. If you can stomach It's crassness, this makes for a five-star read.
Rating: Summary: The best book I've ever read Review: It is an amazing book which I'm now rereading for the third time, and I still think it is one of Stephen King's best books. Although the book is over 1000 pages, It is really not long enough for me, and it took me only about two weeks to read this book for the first time. I have read all his books and I love them all, but It is just the best. The book is very scary and realistic, but if you are getting scared very quickly or having problems with your health, I recommend you to read this book only in daylight. It, The Stand, Needful Things, The Talisman (with peter Straub) and The Dark Tower series are Stephen King's best books to date.
Rating: Summary: IT WON'T DISAPPOINT YOU Review: I have read this book 3 times already and I'm reading it again. What can I say? This book really kicks ass and is guaranteed to draw you in to the characters and the mission they have to fulfil.Read it NOW!
