Summary: Back to childhood
Review: Have you ever heard a song from your childhood, something you haven't heard in many years? That strange feeling that you get, as if you were suddenly back there - that's what it's like for the entire time you are reading 'IT'. I've read it 4 times, and I've had this same sensation each time. When the book is open in my hands, it's as if the world around me is blacked out, and I am back in the 1950's growing up. And that's why the horror in this book succeeds so well; you can feel truly afraid because you are propelled back to the way you thought when you were a kid. I've read hundreds of books by many different authors, from Charles Dickens to Elmore Leonard, but only a handful have had that complete magic that you can't really explain to someone else. It's just there, and you are thankful that you've been lucky enough to find it. Those who are fans of Tolkien's 'The Lord of the Rings' (a story that remains one of my favorites, even at age 39), you know the magic that I mean. An author is fortunate if he/she can capture it once in a lifetime. I have really enjoyed many other Stephen King stories, and some of his others not so much. But this, to me, is his crowning acheivement, a book I intend to read many more times in my life. I've worn out my hardcover copy, so I think I'll buy the paperback, also saving me from having to work on my upper body strength before reading in bed.

Summary: Not JUST classic King -- CLASSIC
Review: This book should be read by everyone even if you hate Stephen King (which i can't imagine) or just plain and simply hate the Horror genre. Not only does this book leave you white knuckled, it also delivers in the actual story. The characters are developed so well it's scary (no pun intended). Even the antagonists are devoloped greatly. My only problem with the book is it tends to get long-winded in part. The book is 1,090 pages (paperback) and gets off topic at times (such as a whole chapter baisically completely dedicated to the building of a dam which adds nothing to the story except showing how the characters work well together). Read this book!!

Summary: Stephen King, A Modern Ray Bradbury...
Review: This book was very good, yet it confuses me how he could take such a corny, somewhat stupid plot, and turn it into a such a good, scary book. And then, at the end of the book, you don't know if IT was good or evil? I mean, it DID want to kill (feed on) children, but didn't also bring all of the seven "losers" together? I suppose in a way this is "The Stand". A team of good, and a nameless, faceless evil. I don't know how he does it,but he does it well.

Summary: The best Stephen King has ever written.
Review: Stephen King has written some great books, but IT is the most gripping, on the edge of your seat novel yet. What a book!!! This is a must read book for Stephen King fans.

Summary: One of the best from Stephen King
Review: I don't see how anybody couldn't like this book. It's just so amazing, I actually felt like I was there watching the things happen. I'm a big fan of Stephen King and plan to read all his books. I think the scariest bad-guy of all time is Pennywise the clown, he scares the hell out of me. You MUST buy this book and read it, you'll be very happy, you might find yourself reading it over again it's so good.

Summary: Did anyone else read the book that I read?
Review: This book was horrible. I am a huge Stephen King fan but this was by far one of his worst. If I could give a rating of zero stars this book would get it. The rating is more for dissapointment then anything else. The book started out great, I actually felt that this was going to be one of his best. In the middle it started to lose the King magic and by the time the end came I found myself saying, "That's it? You have got to be kidding me." These stages wouldn't have been so bad in a shorter book but this one was over 1,000 pages!!! This was one of the worst endings I have ever encountered in any book. It seems that King had been working on the book for so long and he just wanted to end it so he could work on something else. So he gave "IT" a crappy ending just to finish it up. Basically I can sum this review up in a couple of sentences - Bad Book, 1,000 pages, waste of time, save yourself. Please stay away from this book...unless you are looking for a doorstop or something to prop open your window.

Summary: Fascinating novel, intriguing plot and characters.
Review: The book was full of suspense incredibly fascinating. The plot and the characters could have only been created by a master of thrillers, Stephen King. I have read many books written by this author and I must say he deserves all admiration for his work. His description tecniques are impressive and contribute to making his novels fantastic thrillers. I recommend this book greatly.

Summary: It is a story about the fear, the evil within us all.
Review: It is about an evil that begins in childhood, but it is an evil that dwells long after childhood... and in every soul, whether it be young or old. It is about the scariest thing each individual could imagine, and I stress each individual. B/c each has his own fear, and his own reality.
