Summary: Adults still have the "magic" of childhood.
Review: IT is by far the best novel King has put together. The characters are the most complete and developed group he has assembled. As children and as adults, in a story that develops for both groups at the same time, these seven characters (and others) become as real as any living persons. The real story is not in the horror for which King is so famous, but in the relationships and the lives of the "lucky 7". The frightening elements are present in heaping amounts; Pennywise the Clown may keep you awake at night. But the real story is in the characters and the underlying theme King makes with IT. The kid is still in all of us, if we just let it out; as King said in the dedication "the magic still exists". Do not let the length of the novel keep you from reading IT. The story is deep and rich. The history behind the story and the complete development of the story and characters is well worth the reading. Although some say the novel is flawed and too detailed, the story is incredible is a must for anyone who enjoys a slice of life (and a whole lot of frightening experiences).

Summary: It Was very good but it was soooo short.
Review: I am 14 years old ( I was 13 at the time I read the book) and I read 'IT' it was very intriguing but it was sooo very short it only took me about 2-3 days to read it and it was a hardcover which it was about 3 to 4 times bigger than the paperback book that is on sale now.The book is my 2nd best by King and my 1st favorite is 'The Tommyknockers' and my 3rd favorite is 'The Shining' but all three are very good. I've read just about every book by King except the book 'The Body'.

Summary: Long but great
Review: I was pleasantly suprised at how good this book was to read. Although most would argue that it is too long, I don't believe it would be as entertaining if any part of it was cut. I also enjoyed the back and forth switch from childhood to adulthood throughout the book. It added the element of double climax towards the end of the book that I've never seen anywhere else. I recomend anyone with the patience to read this book and enjoy its many intricacies and plot twists.

Summary: *ALMOST* The best book I've read.
Review: This book took a week to get through, but not a moment of it was boring. Stephen King is one of my favorite authors, he has a wonderful eye for detail. He also knows how to capture the very essence of childhood in a way no one else can. 'IT' Will remind you of when you were a kid. I have just one complaint, but it's a big one. I don't want to give the book away, but I'll tell you that the "Ritual of Chud" section, chapter 12 is horribly perverse. I was literally disgusted. I'm not a person who is easily offended, but I think Mr. King crossed the line in this chapter. I really don't understand why it was necessary to put this in the book. In my opinion, this would be the greatest book ever written without that section. Still, I highly recommend 'IT'- wonderful characters, unexpected plot twists, brilliant insight, suspense, and cheesy horror. What more could anybody want?

Summary: Well worth the time
Review: This book intimidates many people because of it's length. Do not be scared...by the size of the book. There is enough on the pages to scare you silly! Pennywise the clown may be the best character King has ever come up with.

Summary: The Best Book Ever
Review: I'm only fourteen years old, and I read IT. I thought it was the best book that i have ever read. Then i saw the movie. I was horribly upset by it. The book was 100x better than the movie. So for all of you who did like the movie, read the book so you know the whole story.

Summary: not King's best book, but that's no shame
Review: since it probably stands as King's best book since Pet Sematary. The length is completely justified. There is not an ounce of fat here.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best ensemble of characters since "The Stand"
Review: If you want an epic horror novel, this is great. Definite summer reading, the characters are well developed and the story imaginative. This is one of those books you read over and over. Horror at its very best

Summary: IT: Scary & Stylish. King's Second Best Novel
Review: IT is truly a horrifying and scary experience. Richie was my favorite character. IT is a novel in which finally Stpehen King scared me senseless on more than one occasion. In Derry: The Second Interlude, when Mike wakes up and sees that Pennywise has visited him in the middle of the night and left a present, I got all cold and goosbumps ran all over me. Pennywise himself is the best Stephen King villian I have encountered in one of his books. He's scary, and horribly mean. IT ranks high on my list of excellent Staphen King novels.

Summary: A THRILLER FROM START TO FINISH!!!
Review: I have read IT and seen the movie version of it and I have to say both gave me the creeps espically PENNYWISE who or what he is I'm not going to say and do all of the people aware of his existence survive I won't say but it will keep you up at night that's for sure. This book is definatley one of STEPHEN KING'S finest all in all don't miss IT.
