Summary: Challenged Reality
Review: It was a mature piece of what American literature is today. While showing the trials of seven kids who come upon a horrible It. Also shown is the wanting to forget things that are to inexplicable or terrible to want to retain. It gives the reader a reason to leave the light on at night with the ability to bring the reader into the world of terror Stephen King has created.

Summary: This is Fast Literature not excellent writing!
Review: This book like most of Kings works are written solely witht he intent of entertaining, just As Mcdonalds was created with the sole intent of getting you full quickly (but not always good for you). When you step away from a king book, you have to ask yourself A. Was reading these 1094 pages actually a good use of my time B. Was there an actual lesson from the story? C. Could I have read something else that didn't advocate violence horror and death D. Could I have read something else that had a lesson, or helped me in the constant improving of the self E. Could a teenager with good writing skills write this monster of a dictionary F. Is King really that good compared to the likes of Cervantes Hardy Dickens Tolstoy Nabokov? This isn't literature, this is mega mass 4000 for your brain. Its high in calories, but lacking the necessary nutritional value to help the growth of the mind....So do I recommend this book Hell no. Read something of substinance, read something that makes your mind grow, read something that benefits you, instead of the nightmares that come out of Kings head. Thank You And a toast to the utter destruction of the Idiot Box.

Summary: Kings 2nd Best Book
Review: Definitely a classic in horror. This is King's best Horror book, I think, because I don't consider The Stand exactly Horror. IT is total horror, while The Stand just contains small elements of Horror (the supernatural stuff). Anyways, The Stand is King's best overall book, while IT is his second best overall book.

From a teenager's perspective, this is simply a great book. King's writing about when they were children is so PERFECT that you'd almost think that it's a kid writing it.

As equally perfect is the storyline. There is not one wasted page in this book, and, as long as you're a dedicated King fan, this book will seem like a synch to read. IT is amazing, and I can barely see how King got the idea from that Billy Goat Gruff (or whatever it's called) story.

Anyways, this is a great book which keeps you suspense-filled (especially if you read at night) right to the end. It's classic good vs. evil.

But what IS evil? It's simply IT.

Summary: King at his best
Review: An unbeatable story about 6 kids who are life-long friends: and their terrifying encounters.

Summary: The best book I've ever read
Review: Some of Stephen King's books have long set-ups that are slow and boring. IT had very long set-ups and from page 1, I was ENTRAN- CED. The first part was great ...then the long set-up with getting to know all the characters in the losers club was never boring, I especially liked the section of "Beverly Marsh takes a whuppin" Then the section of the summer of 1958 was the best, I felt like I was reliving my childhood, playing Army Fort and building dams, Love the way this part felt like STAND BY ME.The characters were excellently drawn, and I found myself reading slower so I didn't have to finish this incredible story. Not only is it the best Stephen King book, It is, in my opinion, the best book ever written, (fiction-wise)

Summary: Stephen King at his best and scariest
Review: There are so many Stephen King books, but this is one that gives new meaning to the word "horror." IT tells the tale of a supernatural entity that is preying on the people especially the children of a fictional town in Maine called Derry. Seven kids, who become friends and eventually form a club (The Losers Club), encounter the evil force and do battle with it. But this is nothing like they have ever encountered. IT can take any form it wants, IT knows their darkest secrets, IT knows what scares them and IT knows how to manipulate them so it can do what it does best - KILL. The seven heroic kids do succeed in abolishing the evil, but 30 years later, IT returns. So now, these seven adults must keep the promise they made as kids - that if the evil ever returned, they would all come back and kill IT. The character of Pennywise the Dancing Clown has to be one of the most terrifying beings ever created for a novel. It will definitely make you think twice before going back to the circus. Stephen King does an excellent job of shifting seamlessly between the experiences of the main characters when they are kids and when they are adults. It is all very realistic too in terms of the experiences all kids deal with such as unruly adults, the neighborhood bully, falling in love for the first time, and dealing with your worst fears. The book may be 1100 pages, but you will read them very very fast. The suspense and terror never let up and each encounter with the evil being is more and more unsettling. Do not read the book alone and make sure the room is well lit.

Summary: IT vs Lucky Seven
Review: I thought the movie It was the best movie I've seen. It was freaky. I liked the part when they were kids better because it was more adventurous. I thought it was gross and creepy. After I watched this movie It before I slept, I buried myself under my covers afraid Pennywise would get me. But of course he's not real. My favorite characters was all of the Lucky Seven. It was amazing to see what seven close friends could do to kill a monster like the creepy clown. "It" shows the true meaning of friendship and how teamwork always works. "It" is my favorite movie, I love it! I could watch it on and on. I want to read the book and buy the movie. It was creppy how the clown kept terrorizing the kids. Like when Beverly was in the bathroom, the blood spurted up from the drain. It was weird how only the seven kids could see the bad things the clown did, not anyone else, like their parents. And when Ben was in the Barrens and his "father" called to him and then there was Pennywise. And then the slimy skeleton popped up from under the lake. Creepy. When Bill opened the picture of Georgie and blood came out. I hated that scary music, it sticks to my head! By the way, does he stutter in real life? I hope not because i think he's really handsome and cute. Henry Bowers was a big bully, and I thought he was mean and dangerous. His sidekick, Belch, was funny and gross because he always burped really loud. This movie was the best!!! Yeah!

Summary: Way too long...
Review: I checked IT out from my local library a while ago and started to read it. The first 200 pages or so were okay, but once you get deeper into the book, it gets more tedious and boring. By page 410 I had stopped reading IT all together and returned it to the library. Some parts are very interesting, while other parts will drag and drag until you almost go nuts. The basic story of IT is about 7 kid's who discover a big secret:... It's much more than that of course, but that's the overall idea. The book is extremely long at about 1,138 pages. That is ridiculous, how can anyone read that many pages??? Overall, if you're a fast reader and can survive through many pages of detailed explanations (and not to mention tons of profanity) then please, get this book, but if you're like me and are a slow reader and find it hard to picture something that the author is trying to describe, then skip this book and read Misery.

Summary: One of the Best Books I've Ever Read
Review: Just couldn't put this book down - certainly one of King's finest. The story itself is excellent. The Losers will really touch you. I especially like little Ben Hanscom, so chubby , polite, helpful and so much in love with Beverly Marsh. The portrayal of the Monster "IT' is also excellent - you could almost see this monster yourself. Wonderful book by a wonderful storyteller.
