Rating: Summary: A Yearly Read Review: I've read this book at least 15 times - at least 7 of which were consecutive "summer reads". A wonderful blend of horror, typical King humor, and suspense, it never seems to drag at all. If seeing the tv-movie turned you off of picking up the book - forget about the movie. There's so much in the book that can not be put into any format other than print that a great deal was lost in the switch to the screen.
Rating: Summary: complex and wonderful Review: I've never read a book this long that could hold my interest to the end. The movie leaves out so much that this book has to offer. Such the gay person being killed and the coke bottle oath. Some may turn away because of the books length. But if you have the patience. This is a masterpiece for your imagination.
Rating: Summary: Cody Patterson's Book Review Review: This is a really great book.It has things in it that I liked. For instance people getting killed and evil clowns.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Absolutley fantastic. This is Stephen King's magnum opus in my opinion. The relation between the characters is simply outstanding. This was the first Stephen King book I read and it is my favorite by far. Simply put, this is one of the best books i have ever read. Although it is 1090 pages, it is worth reading. If you are thinking about buying this book, think no further and just buy it. You'll like the book, I guarntee it.
Rating: Summary: surprisingly deep Review: i tend to enjoy more meanigful books as supposed to thrillers by the likes of Michael CHrichton, but It was surprising. IT succeeded in entertaining me with its thrills as well, almost an even greater extent, by the amazingly well-developed characters and the literary talent King displays. this book transformed me into a huge fan of Stephen King.
Rating: Summary: Strong Review: It, by Stephen King as far as i am concerned is a very srong book, the characters are also the most powerful link of the book. The losers club is made up of rejects in the modern life, and this is what makes it so powerful. Definitly not for the weak minded. i couldnt go into any dark areas for a month and now, im stil scared of drains. Stephen King has done it again. Although i am for the fact that the characters should not have returned to finish off the evil, it is a wonderful book. A must read.
Rating: Summary: Shhhhh! Review: Ssshhh please! You are reading a review for the best book-I mean the best book- in the world. Leave aside the high-brow intellectual books, leave aside Nobel or Pulitzer winners. Also leave aside the clown in the book, leave aside if it is a horror book or not: Just go without a second thought, grab, read It and understand how friendships should be; how nice, how heavenly it would be for everyone if those friends were actually around. I read IT in 1988 for the first time and it is my ritual act to read it every year again. Just waiting for someone to be brave and talented enough to give us a better read than IT but all my challenges are in vain, I know.Bravo...Bravo!
Rating: Summary: Is read IT and IT was good Review: The book It is one of the longest books I have ever read. When reading It you will wish that it was longer than eleven hundred pages. The ending is strange, but it is the characters in the story that make the book so enjoyable. The storyline is unique and will leave you staying up late wanting to read more. The characters are kids who feel awkward. They're picked on by the bully, they are "nerdy" and create a "Loser's Club". This awkwardness the characters feel as well as the specific examples allows the reader to relate to the not so normal children in the novel. The "Loser's Club" tries to stop the creature that has been killing kids in their hometown Derry. The writing which may seem ridiculous or strange seems perfectly expectable when you are caught up in this monster of a book. I feel as if this book is truly an epic and would not mind reading It again. I would recommend this to anybody who has read and enjoyed any of Stephen King's novels, whether you read a book like Christine or a more serious book like Green Mile or Hearts of Atlantis and enjoyed it you will like this book. This is one of the most mysterious, creepy novels I have read by this writer.
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: IT is the first King book ive read. Im currently reading The Stand and Four Past Midnight right now at the same time. This book had it's boring parts(mostly during the interludes) but it was still a great read. This book isnt no walk in the part though. It will take you a while to finish it.
Rating: Summary: My First SK Review: I first read this book more than a decade ago and it was my first taste of the Stephen King experience. That long ago reading created yet another King fan, who has, over the years, returned again and again to this talented author. Currently (2004) I am re-reading this novel and am not as impressed as I was as a teen. However I would recommend this book to any King fan, fan of horror or fantasy. Excellent read.
