Summary: Where Did All the Pages Go?
Review: It was one of the best Stephan King books I've read! The plot was so great and some of the parts are downright horrifying!
Unlike other SK books the memories and flashbacks are relavent to the story, they are not just page fillers.
Don't be intimidated by It's bulk, some 1100 pages, it goes very quickly!! When I first picked It up I thought it would take me ages to fininsh considering Desperation was on 750 pages and it took me about 10 weeks to finish. However, It went so quickly and the plot was so fast that I finished It in 6 weeks! The plot is hardly ever slow and short chapters make reading quick and good.
The reason I gave It 4 stars instead of 5, was because I felt the ending was kind of a let down. I found the end to be too deep for the rest of the story. I couldn't really understand the thing with the turtle but overall it was okay.
I highly suggest It to any SK fan, It is one of his best!

Summary: By Nick Judd- a 13 year old reader
Review: This is one of the best books i have ever read. it is a little slow but always pretty scary, the characters are very likable and believable. the movie was fair, it left out a lot of the book. A great book to anyone who likes a good horror story.

Summary: A spellbinder, the best book ever written!
Review: I love this book. I first saw the Movie before reading this book (and i got nightmares from it) which i think was a good thing since i knew what the book was about mostly instead of getting confused with alot of sub-plots (For example, the big conflict with gay's in the 2nd chapter). When i bought this book, i thought i would never finish it. But, i sat down one cold December night (i got it for christmas this year) and i was also home alone, mind you, and started to read. After the first part where Georgie dies, i had to put it down - that was immensly disturbing! But, i did finish it. And being the King fan that i am, i LOVED IT! This is the best book i have ever read! I love all Stephen King books, but THIS is a gem! I love Pennywise - or IT. My deepest fear has always been Clowns, and this did not help, but i still love this novel. Mr. King realisticly describes the Clown and all of the shapes it takes, and all of the gory graphic details are great! Althoughy and absolutley horrifying/graphic spellbinder, i also think there is a lighter side to it. King realistly describes school life, pacts, friendship, bully's and other things children must go through. Being a child of 12 (i got started reading King books at about 10) i understand completley what theese kids go through. I was shocked howmuch this book can relate to me. Like Beverly (i am a boy though), i am also afraid to sleep in my most comforatable sleeping position, and i also like to write like bill. I also get picked on alot like Ben (but not because of fat, because i am not fat) and other things. Horror and Emotion camptured all in oen book by my all time favorite author creates a gem, A MUST READ - also get the movie on DVD.

Summary: An amazing work, Stephen King does not disappoint.
Review: When I read "It", my overactive imagination instantly kicked in, and I read for several sleepless nights, gripped by the amazing story. Since then, I've read and re-read this novel, and each time I'm amazed at how well it flows. 100 pages seems like 10 as King leads you along the path of these teenagers. Scary and suspenseful, this book is a must-read.

Summary: One of King's best works
Review: This book is what originally got me addicted to Stephen King books. This book was so scary, at times I had to put it down and reassure myself that it wasn't real.

The book mainly revolves around a group of kids, Bill Denbrough, Ben Hanscome, Beverly Marsh, Richie Tozier, Stanly Uris, Eddie Kaspbrack, and Mike Hanlon. Also known as the Losers. In the summer 1958, when all these characters were only eleven years old, they went in hunt of IT. Yet IT can be anything, and IT feeds on the fears of children, and the children themselves. Eventually IT leads to the death of one of the Losers. But when the Losers think that they have killed IT, IT rises again, and he is hungry for the meat of children

Twenty seven years later, six of the seven Losers became widly sucessful in life. And when the are phoned by a mysterious stranger, they are informed that IT had returned. Also that it was their promise that they would kill IT, if IT came back to life.

Now all of the Losers travel back to their hometown of Derry, Maine, to face the very scourse of their greatest and deepest fears.

I could hardly put this book down when I read IT. Some people will not even think of reading the book because of how thick it is, but the thickness of the book makes it all the better. You not be dissapointed with this book. If you like horror stories this book is perfect for you. When I read the conclution, I actually checked under my bed. If that dosen't give you an idea of how scary IT really is

Summary: Frighteningly Scary
Review: Wow. This was the first Stephen King book I've read. Now, books never scare me and I've read a lot of horror books. This one gave me nightmares. It took me a while to get into it and it was slow reading for a bit but then I realized I was halfway done. This book will scare you. I used to laugh when people said that.. but it's true. The images are so graphic and gory. The plot & characters are so well done that many times you feel like you're right there with them. I was disappointed with the ending though. I'm confused as to who or what the entity was. Don't be turned off by the size of this book.. it's well worth the read.

Summary: It
Review: The amazingly prolific King returns to pure horror, pitting good against evil as in The Stand and The Shining. Moving back and forth between 1958 and 1985, the story tells of seven children in a small Maine town who discover the source of a series of horrifying murders. Having conquered the evil force once, they are summoned together 27 years later when the cycle begins again. As usual, the requisite thrills are in abundance, and King's depiction of youngsters is extraordinarily accurate and sympathetic. But there is enough material in this epic for several novels and stories, and the excessive length and numerous interrelated flashbacks eventually become wearying and annoying. Nevertheless, King is a born storyteller, and It will undoubtedly be in high demand among his fans.

Summary: Why this is my favorite book
Review: This is the best book I've ever read. I'd read other Stephen King books before, and found them to be enjoyable, but not with the magnitude of 'IT'. The basic summary is: In the small town of Derry, Maine, in the summer of 1958, 7 children, aged about 11, Bill, Ben, Beverly, Richie, Eddie, Stan and Mike, discover a horrible secret. The town itself is evil, personified in the form of a clown, It (called Pennywise). The kids attack this demon, and wound it. However, as It works in cycles, It reappears when they are grown and they must beat It once again, this time for good. The charecter developement causes you to fall in love with every person in this book, and feel as if you are there with them. The love that the main charecters feel for each other is so powerful, I had no idea it could be expressed in a book. The ending, when It is defeated is a little odd, but if you allow yourself to simply be absorbed in, it flows very well. The changes between childhood and adulthood are handled with masterful wordcraft. Overall, this book will scare you, make you laugh and cry. I'm sure anyone would love it as much as I do.
