Rating: Summary: Dance upon the air takes you away Review: I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. In typical Nora Roberts fashion, the story draws you in and the characters seem like real people. I could almost feel what they felt. I was truly drawn into the story.
Rating: Summary: Mixed feelings Review: This was a very "easy read", which can be taken as easy and enjoyable or shallow and lacking substance. It has a decent idea behind it with a bit of myth and mystery. At times it seems like "too much" mystery...about the past. The characters are very interesting and so is the setting. I do like the characters candid conversations. It did seem that the book was not going to have enough pages for an ending when it came to a very abrupt end. This was the first Nora Robrts book I have ever read and I can not say it totally "knocked my socks off".
Rating: Summary: Dance upon the Air Review: Nora really knows how to capture an audience. I can't wait to read the rest of the trilogy.
Rating: Summary: Could not put it down! Review: i loved this book ! The way she combinded magic with romance really got me into the book. Nell is a lovable person who you really get to know and experiance her pain and triumph, and a really hot guy who is the hero! Can't wait for the next one!
Rating: Summary: Three lovable witches and one hunky hero. Review: Legend has it that the idyllic Three Sisters Island was formed in 1699 when three magical sisters cast a spell to save themselves from the Salem Witch Trials. The circle of three caused a landmass to break off from the coast of Massachusetts and float out to sea, where the three witches lived and loved, albeit unhappily. The legend states that three descendants of the original witches must unite one day to form the circle of three again and save the island from sinking into the sea.Cut to the year 2000...on the run after faking her own drowning in California in order to escape her abusive husband, skittish Nell Channing has just arrived by ferry with nothing but her beat-up old Buick and $208. She steps into the Book Café just in time to witness the chef hanging up her apron to head for the big city. Desperate to fill the job and sensing a kinship with Nell, owner and local good witch Mia Devlin offers Nell the position, along with a rental cottage near the beach. Soon everyone on the island is coming in for lunch to check out the new chef and sample her culinary magic. Lovable local hero, Sheriff Zack Todd, makes the Book Café a regular stop on his rounds too. Sensing that Nell's on the run from something or someone, he makes excuses to keep bumping into her. Zack's feisty sister and deputy sheriff, Ripley, is the reluctant third witch in the trio. Ripley and Mia were childhood friends, but grew apart when Ripley decided to deny her obvious magical powers. I enjoyed reading this book and will definitely read the second and third books in the trilogy. Roberts has created lovable characters that you can't help but root for as they become friends, fall in love, find their self-esteem, claim their magical powers, and fight evil. While 'Dance Upon the Air' is Nell's story, the second and third installments of the trilogy will feature Mia's and Ripley's stories. My favorite of the three is Mia, a strong, confident business owner who anyone would love to have as a friend. I can't wait to read her story.
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Magical Review: Dance Upon the Air tells the story of a woman escaping her abusive husband, and she is drawn to Three Sisters Island, a place created of magic and legends. The heroine seeks safety, and instead finds friendship, magic, and best of all, love. This book was marvellously crafted, and it is in my personal opinion that Roberts has great talent in the writing of books where she weaves together a perfect balance of the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Rating: Summary: Another winner! Review: I was introduced to Nora Roberts by someone at work. She has been a terrific addition to my "favorite author" list. This book was great and the second in the trilogy, which I am now reading has the potential to be even better. Got to get back to it. Highly recommend.
Rating: Summary: Sweet hearted Magic Review: Sweet Nell, having escape unspeakable horror and taken untold risks, finally finds a haven (or is that a coven?) and women that will become as close to her as sisters. Your heart soars with her over her smallest acheivements, and once she finds out who she truly is, she really begins to grow. When her past comes back to haunt her though, her newly formed family of friends may not be enough to save her, but will she have the magic inside herself to survive?
Rating: Summary: Loved It! Review: You'll enjoy the characters and the story.
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: This first in the triology does not disappoint and leaves the reader anxiously waiting for the next. A sweet love story, but it doesn't end there! I'm quickly becoming a Nora Roberts fan and highly recommend this one!
