Rating: Summary: A Great Beginning Review: This is the first book in the Nora Robets Sister trilogy and it was a great read. Set on a New England island with a legend behind the creation of the island is a perfect back drop for a series about witches.Nell is a woman on the run from an abusive past. She finds herself on the island and wants to lay down roots and start to live a normal life. After finding a job, a place to live, and making a new friend (Mia) life is good for Nell. Then walks in Zach Todd the law on the island. There is an undeniable attraction between these two people and the story that evolves from it is a page turner. This book is a must add to your summer reading list.
Rating: Summary: A Breezy Story Review: Dance Upon The Air is a nice mix of romance and suspense with a supernatural twist. Nell Channing arrives on the legendary Three Sisters Island to start a new life for herself, and luckily we get to go along for the ride. She easily befriends the mysterious, fiery Mia, who quickly recognizes Nell's talent in the kitchen and hires her to fill the recently vacated cook position in the bookstore/cafe she runs. Nell loves working at the cafe, which allows her to meet many interesting people, including Sheriff Zack Todd and his sister Ripley. Soon Nell finds herself falling for Zack, and then she discovers the special bond that she shares with Mia and Ripley. Just when Nell thinks her pre-Three Sisters life is behind her, the past catches up with her and threatens to destroy everything she's worked so hard to establish. I loved this book and can't wait to read the next one!
Rating: Summary: This book shines Review: I can't say enough about this book. The plot is very strong and it has excellent characters. But my favorite thing about this book is that it was written by Nora Roberts. Now, I have to admit that I'd never been a huge fan of her books before I read this one. It had been recommended to me by someone so I rented it from the library and promptly put off reading it. But when I finally got around to it, boy was I surprised. The story revolves around one woman on the run from an abusive husband. She finally settles in a small island on the Atlantic Ocean and finds a home. Beautifully written, Roberts has an amazing descriptive talent and it's worth it to read the book just for that. It enables us to visualize the island and lets us delve into the characters. The relationship between the three "sisters" is complex and compelling and it makes the reader long for the next two books in the trilogy. And you can't help but fall in love with our hero, Zach Todd, the sheriff of Three Sisters Island. All in all, this book deserves its own special place on the bookshelf.
Rating: Summary: Read This Book! Review: This is my favorite book written by Nora Roberts. If you liked the movie Practical Magic this is the book for you. I've read it at least three times and it never gets old. Right now I'm anxiously awaiting the third book in the trilogy. I thought the story of Nell and how she has to start her own life and not jump into a relaitonship was unique. Most romance books have the heroine becoming totally dependent on a man. This book to me was more about Nell growing as a person then a romance. Zach is a great guy (I wish I could find one like that) and the rest of the characters are equally likable. I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did.
Rating: Summary: Things that Happen in a Good Place Review: Truely Nell was a darin person. She did things that normal people won't. She faked her own death to escape an abusive husband and then falls in love with this incredible guy who is laid back enough to be sexy for me. Are there men out there that are really like that? *Sigh* Read it, love it, then reread. Enjoy. Have a couple tissues and something to drink, you're not going to want to put it down.
Rating: Summary: Magic made "almost" Perfect Review: This first entry in the Three Sisters Island trilogy has enough beauty to fire the imagination and enough tension to make the reader hope the "magic" is real. I loved the word paintings with which the author drew the vivid island landscape and enchanted it for our pleasure. It's easy to want Nell Channing to succeed in finding safety and peace in such a haven. She has just spent the better part of four years in a situation that threatened to destroy her. Now she is on the run and seeking a place to call "home". It becomes apparent fairly early that she can count on the handsome sheriff of the island, Zack Todd and her new employer at the bookstore cafe, Mia Devlin to help her fit into this island community and learn to trust again. Nell is a gifted cook and baker and finds an easy way to befriend the other island inhabitants by using those skills to step into the sudden vacancy in the book store cafe. She needs a place to live and Mia (just happens to) own the perfect little cottage...If it sounds like MAGIC there is a very good explanation. We are about to meet the good witches of Three Sisters Island. Each has her own gifts...her own feelings about the craft. One is accepting, one reluctant and one is basically ignorant of her powers. In the end, old dangers, new loves and the courage to help friends will weave together to give the reader a lovely experience. AND the promise of more to come. I can hardly wait to read the next installment.
Rating: Summary: One of the best I have ever read! Review: I do not usually read contemporary romance, and I have never read Nora Roberts before. But something about this book said, "Give me a go." Am I glad I did! I literally could not put it down!! From the moment I met Nell, an abused wife who has left her husband, Mia, a Divine Goddess, and Riley, a small town police woman, I was hooked!! It seems that these three women are connected by more than just being in the same place at the same time. The legend of the creation of Three Sisters Island has decreed that they would meet in this place and they would right a wrong that had occurred before. In one book you have the occult, love and the charms of life in a small town on an island. You'll love it!!!!
Rating: Summary: What a book! Review: Nora has done it again with this awesome book full of interesting people and an interesting place!! You really become Nell....this is an exciting book right until the end!
Rating: Summary: Romance and Magic Review: I do not normally read books containing science fiction, witches, magical powers and etc. But,this book has all this and I absolutely loved it.It also contains wonderful romance and mistry which is typical of Ms. Robert's writting. After I got about half way the book, there was no putting it down. I've read many of Nora Robert's books and this has got to be one of the best.
