Rating: Summary: The Best I Have Ever Read Review: I bought this book so I would have something to read while we drove out of town, (my husband drove). I couldnt put it down til we got to the motel, I stayed up until 2:30 am reading it, and woke back up at 730am and finished it by 800am. My tastes have always been the Historical Romance type. But I cant wait for the second installment of this series to be published. I reccommend this 100%! I would even go so far as to say, I think this was the best book I have ever read.
Rating: Summary: Another good Nora Roberts read! Review: Very good storyline, somewhat familiar from other books with added touches. I like the connections the three women have, whether they want it or not. Nell's story is first, followed by Mia's, then Ripley's. It kept me reading even though it was pretty predictable. I eagerly await the next in the series. If you are into the good witch/love story theme, this is a fun nights reading.
Rating: Summary: dance upon the air Review: Just got the latest by Nora Roberts and found it a little lacking. One of Roberts' trademarks has always been unique character development, but I felt that the main character, Nell, in this book didn't meet up to Roberts' usual quality. Nell, and some of the situations, seemed like they were contrived from movies, or other books, rather than being a truly unique creation. My overall impression is that Roberts didn't pour as much time and effort into this book as she has with others, like the Irish trilogy (Sea, Moon and Sun). I was extremely impressed with Roberts' previous release, The Villa, and have noticed her veering from the more "sexy" aspects of romance novels, and more into developing characters that we want to be or live next door to. I missed that feeling with this book. Overall, the book holds its exciting moments, and Roberts' penchant for descriptive scenery is solid, but the book still leaves a reader feeling like the work was rushed. This is, however, the first book in the series, and I'm defintely waiting for the next two.
Rating: Summary: Dance upon the Air Review: This was a wonderful book. It was a combination of "Charmed" meets "Sleeping with the Enemy". It was book that kept me turning pages way into the morning hours to find out how it all worked out. The storyline was intriguing and the characters captivating.I've been reading Nora for years; I own copies of all her books. This is just another in a long line of books to pull out and read over and over again.
Rating: Summary: another great magical romance Review: If you liked the other books by Nora Roberts dealing magic, then you will love this one. It was along the same lines as her Donovan Legacy and her Irish Trilogy with the Gallagher Family. I hated to put it down. As in other Roberts books she brings a new light into the occult and how it relates in history....
Rating: Summary: Dance upon the Air Review: I have read all of Nora Roberts books, this is not my favorite. If you enjoy her as JD Robb, you will like this book. She seems to be trying to merge the two writing styles. As a result I did not enjoy this as much as I usually enjoy her books. I would still recommend buying it - just don't go into it with your usual high expectations or you will be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Review: For any Nora Roberts fan, this is pure Nora. I was a little hesitant about the witchcraft part of it, but as with her other "mystical" books, Nora makes perfect sense of it. You will love ALL the characters, excluding of course, Evan, and the bantering between Mia and Ripley will have you laughing out loud. Go buy it...it's definitely a keeper and one that you will re-read over time. Can't wait for the other 2 in the trilogy to come out!
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: I just love reading Nora Robert's books and this is another winner. The characters jumped out at me and I couldn't but the book down!! The attraction is unmistakable as is the friendships that develop. This is a great book and I can't wait for "Heaven & Earth".
Rating: Summary: Another trilogy by Nora Roberts... Review: I am a big fan of Nora Roberts. I enjoy all her books from the simple to the complex. I particularly enjoy her trilogy books. I anxiously await the release of each one. This book is no exception. I thought the characters were believable, if not entirely likable. The story line was good if a little underdeveloped. Unlike the other trilogies, I found this one to be a bit "rushed." It felt as if there wasn't quite enough time to the story. The plot was easily predicted and had no surprises. Please don't misunderstand, I am waiting for the next in the series to be released and will buy it as soon as it does, but I hope the next one has Ms. Roberts usual high standards
Rating: Summary: Another winner for Nora Roberts Review: This first book in Nora Roberts' new trilogy is another winner. Some things are revealed and others are hinted at. Which makes me eager for the next two books. The story unfolds well and the characters are finely drawn (a Nora trademark). Each character has a complete history and you can sense that as you read. For me, the little taste of the mystical is an enjoyable plot twist. If this is the first Nora book you're considering, your in for a fine read and a real treat. (You have her backlist to look forward to!)
