Summary: a story of triumph
Review: I have read just about all of Nora Roberts books and I really enjoyed this one. This is a story of a woman who escaped an abusive husband. While the story is simplistic, and the plot is fairly predictable,I found it to be a good read for a summer day.I also enjoyed the whole witchcraft line. It was fun and breezy and different. I can't wait for the rest of the trilogy.

Summary: Adrenaline Rush
Review: Ms. Roberts name is synonamous with quality. Dance Upon The Air is no exception. Every time I am in a book store, I am on the lookout for new books by favorite authors. When I see one of Ms. Roberts books, it is a quick rush of adrenaline as I picture the adventure I will be embarking on. I try to savor the feeling for as long as possible, without reading the book. I usually last about 12 hours, maximum. Ms. Roberts is my favorite author. I have read all of her books, several times, and they are like old friends. I wish the other books in the trilogy were already completed, as I am having a hard time waiting to find out the fates of Mia and Ripley. Not to mention, the sheer joy of being surrounded by their growing dynamics and relationships. I can't believe this was compared to "Sleeping with the Enemy", what a slap in the face to Ms. Roberts! As if a movie will EVER approach a book for quality! Thank you, once again, for the rich tapestries you weave with words.

Summary: Magical Powers and Curses, Oh My!
Review: Three Sisters Island is cursed. The only way the curse can be broken is by the descendants of the Three Sisters, witches who settled on the island back in the 1600s. Two are living on the island and the third is about to come home.

Nell Channing is running away from her past. Something is drawing her to Three Sisters Island. Nell feels she has finally found a safe place to set down roots. She walks into a job at Café Book just when owner Mia Devlin loses her cook. Nell takes the job and begins to gain self-esteem that has been lacking in her life. She starts a catering business on the side, begins to find love with the sheriff, and realizes she has some magical powers.

Mia Devlin has magical powers. She embraces what she can do and lives peacefully with what she is. Mia is a beautiful woman with style and grace. She seems to have it all-but doesn't. The only place Mia has ever really failed has been in her personal life. She takes Nell under her wing, knowing deep inside that Nell is the third "sister" that is being brought home to lift the curse.

Ripley Todd is the deputy sheriff. She also has the power but refuses to acknowledge it. In fact, she constantly fights with Mia over the use of magic. Like Mia, she takes Nell under her wing, more so to make sure Nell doesn't hurt her brother Zack, the sheriff.

Let's face it, Nora Roberts doesn't write bad books. While I loved the "Dream" and "Sea" trilogy, I can't say I love this new trilogy. I can't put my finger on what is wrong. The concept is good, I like most of the characters, but for some reason I don't think it is one that I will read over and over unless books two and three really pick up. Don' t get me wrong, you can't miss with Nora Roberts' books, this is worth reading, just don't expect it to be in the same caliber as the "Dream" and "Sea" trilogies.

Summary: Dance Upon The Air
Review: In traditional Nora Roberts style, She leaves you anxious for the next in the series to be released. She mixes romance with mystery and suspense. I couldn't put it down. I have read almost all of her stuff, and she is truely phenominal. 2 thumbs up!!

Summary: Do abused women fall in love this quickly?
Review: I enjoyed this book, but I must agree with the reviewers who mentioned how similar this book is to "Sleeping with the Enemy"...it's pretty distracting. But what REALLY bothered me was how quickly Nell fell into a romance with Zack. She came out of a horrendously abusive relationship just a few months before...seems to me she would need a little more time before she could trust, love, whatever someone else again regardless of whether he was "meant" for her or not. (Hey, didn't that happen in "Sleeping with the Enemy" too?)

Summary: Dance Upon the Air, delightful....
Review: This first of a trio, was terrific. I liked all the 'sisters', and look forward to the tales of Ripley and especially Mia. Zack, I thought was great as are all of Ms. Roberts hero's. The right mix of toughness and caring. The island is portrayed as somewhere I would like to visit. All in all this is the type of book that made Ms. Roberts a favorite, great characterization, snappy dialogue and just enough twist of the plot to keep it from being re-hash. Enjoy a day at the beach/pool with this book.

Summary: Three Sisters Soars!!!
Review: This is a WONDERFUL book! I don't know how she does it over and over again, but Nora Roberts is an incredible author. This one has that Practical Magic/Sleeping With the Enemy feel to it and the whole "witch" storyline is so believeable. I cannot wait for Heaven and Earth (book 2 in this trilogy). Excellent book.

Summary: Haven't I seen this before?
Review: I was really excited to see a new Nora Roberts paperback. I just wasn't impressed with this one. I've read better fiction books dealing with wife abuse. Also better romance books dealing with supernatural powers, probably by Nora Roberts. The part of the story that reminded me the most of something else I'd read or seen was that lobster trap scene. Where the thief saw the lobsters eating his head. been there, read that. Sorry Nora, just not really happy with this one.

Summary: One of Nora's Best
Review: This is one of Nora's best. I'm not usually interested in books that don't have a somewhat realistic plot--especially when much of the book is based on magic. But I couldn't put this one down!! All of the characters immediately sucked me into the plot, so that I didn't want to put the book down. It was a completely believeable story about a woman who was slowly healing from an abusive relationship. How she gets involved with the delightful community of Sisters Island is the backbone of the book. Her reluctance to sleep around was one of the better plot points.

I recommend this book highly!!

Summary: She does it again
Review: Well Nora Roberts has yet again put out a good book. While this is not my favorite (MacGregors series) it is up in the list. It is a must have and good read with strong charaters and smooth telling story.
