Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Story! Review: This book has got to be my favorite story by Nora Roberts, yet! Just the right mix of suspense, romance and intrigue. 'My Favorite Book!' DEFINATELY!!!
Rating: Summary: A Magical Romance Kind've Read! Review: Dance Upon Air by amazing storyteller Nora Roberts is the 1st. installment of her newest trilogy--offering the reader an ample supply of magic, witchcraft, suspense, and of course romance. A book that is in my opinion a 'must read.'
Rating: Summary: Dance Upon The Air Review: As all of Nora Roberts books she keeps you interested from the very beginning of the book and keeps you wondering what is going to happen next. I am looking forward to reading the second of her trilogy of the three sisters.
Rating: Summary: Great Beginning! Review: I don't enjoy romance novels, so this is the first book I've read by Nora Roberts. There is a bit of romance, but a unique friendship among three women with special powers, one of whom escaped to the island to hide from her abusive husband. The relationship between the sheriff and the woman who escaped to the island was both romantic and protective---all the way to the exciting conclusion. I waited impatiently for the second in the trilogy (Heaven and Earth) and just found it yesterday---I'll read it in one sitting, as I did this book!
Rating: Summary: A great begining to a great series Review: (...) This is a great first novel in the 3 part series of witch-craft and family. I cannot wait for all of the books- but most especially the third.
Rating: Summary: Should get 6 stars Review: I've been reading Nora Roberts for years and this is the best book I have read yet... I Loved it. I counted down the days till the second book Heaven and Earth was released and read that literally in one sitting.
Rating: Summary: it's magickally delicious!!! Review: excellent, excellent!!! kept me on the seat of my chair! and speaking as a wiccan, it felt right, very real. i can't wait for the next book in the trilogy! way to go nora!
Rating: Summary: Pure Magic Review: Nora Roberts' books that involve both romance and magic are always my favourites. "Dance Upon the Air" is no exception. I can hardly wait to get my hands on the second in the series ("Heaven and Earth"). I read "Dance" in one sitting--that says a lot. Her characters are well drawn and the story is fantastic. Nell's plight--running from an abusive husband and building a new life for herself--blends seamlessly with Nell's discovery of her hidden legacy--witchcraft. Under Mia's guiding hand and Ripley's grudging assistance, Nell blooms and rediscovers herself--and rediscovers the joys of loving. I highly recommend this book--as I do all of Nora Roberts' books. If you like the combination of love and casting spells, I advise you to read "The Donovan Legacy," a 3-in-1 book about three hereditary witches and their loves.
Rating: Summary: I'm Hooked! Review: Although I fought the idea of falling into the "trilogy trap" I simply couldn't put this down & had already made plans to secure the following 2 books of the 3 Sisters Island stories. Remember these names - Nell, Mia & Ripley. These gals rock! Nell Channing is supreme - and though the concept of her being a witch was a little hard to swallow in the beginning, I saw her bloom! And Zack! Whoa! In a perfect world, every woman would have her "Zack". Although witchcraft is the theme, you won't deny the "power" these women exude when their combined forces originate from love and loyalty. Nell, forced to take flight from the abuse and tyranny of a cruel husband seeks refuge on this island full of legends and lore - and finds more than she ever dreamed - two sisters of the heart and the man to make her world complete - and most importantly - the power within herself to make it happen. I'm waiting impatiently for the 2nd installment that, obviously, is Ripley's story. Go Nora!
Rating: Summary: As good as her first Irish Trilogy book. Review: I loved Jewels of the Sun, and eagerly awaited and devoured the two subsequent installments in the Irish Trilogy, which were quite good. So when I spotted Dance Upon the Air in the local grocery, I snapped it up and read it that day. My sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother then read it. Our consensus.... fabulous! Of course, we are all quite partial to the story's setting, but still, I think anyone will love reading this combination of love, danger, magic, and sensuality. In some ways it's even better than the Irish Trilogy... much more modern, and the plot's very absorbing. Like Jewels of the Sun, it starts with a woman escaping to a place all her own... Thank goodness the next one's due in 2 weeks!!!!
