Summary: Possibly His Best Book
Review: I usually do not like Stephen King's books he tends to give to many details that usually make the story redundant. This book; however, is the best I have ever read by him. He introduces you to a medieval type kingdom where tyranny and betrayl reign. King unfolds the evil plot of a black sorcerer before your very eyes. The climax of the book is great and it always keeps you guessing. I was skeptical when I first read the plot, I thought to myself King and fantasy no way, but he did it and it is excellent. This book is a must read for all fans of fantasy and horror alike.

Summary: Not on par with King's other books
Review: This book took a while to get into. It seemed strained and forced. It was a chore to read the first half of the book, but it wasn't necessarily a bad read.

Summary: Review for The Eyes of the Dragon
Review: Throughout the novel "The Eyes of the Dragon" it became apparent that this was not one of Stephen King's best works. When many think of Stephen King they think of great works such as "It" or "Cujo" that brought terror and fear into the heart of the reader, but this was not the case in "The Eyes of the Dragon." If I were to rate the book on a scale of one to ten, I would most likely not give it higher than a five. The novel itself was dull and uneventful. The plot seemed like it had been stretched out to fill pages, and it felt like it could have been a hundred pages shorter without losing and effect. The few suspenseful events in the novel were short lived, and it appeared to me as a reader that there could have been better choice for which happenings were emphasized in the story. The book itself is written like a screenplay, with a lot of importance on actions of the characters rather than stressing the plot. There is plenty of good imagery and detail, but there is almost too much and things are written in that aren't necessary for the reader. Some things in the book almost didn't need to be said at all, because they weren't relevant to the story. A good example of this is on page 294. The entire second paragraph reads as though it could be omitted without losing any effect whatsoever. Personally, I did not thoroughly enjoy reading this book. There were a few spots of suspense and action, but through most of the 400-page endeavor, I was asleep in my seat.

Summary: Boring and unimaginative plot....
Review: I have to admit that I am not a big fan of King, I've read Misery, Salems' Lot and a few short stories which were OK but this book - in the eyes of the dragon - is absolutely rubbish. The book uses the exhaustive good boy - prison , bad boy - throne plot and at the end of most chapters the reader is asked to draw his/her own conclusion. Is this because King just couldn't be bothered or perhaps didn't know what to write next. Another thing that annoyed me was that the main character, the blond guy (forgotten his name already!), couldn't have been more perfect yet when King tried to get this accross to the reader it was pathetic, giving me the impression that I was dealing with some goody two shoes who was right all the time. I also think that this book was written in a hurry and made up as the author went along. The problem with King and more importantly with his fan based is that he could write any tripe at all and still get great reviews. This of course does no one any favours. I would strongly recommend reading the talisman who he co-wrote with Peter Straub - now that is an excellent book.

Summary: An Enchanting Story
Review: The Eyes of the Dragon was a great story. It could be read by anyone at any age. It was comfortable, easy reading. It's setting is a fairytale world filled with castles, kings, princes, and a very evil wizard. Once I got through the introduction of all of the characters, I couldn't put it down. It constantly kept you guessing what would happen next. Small details throughout the beginning of the book turned out to be significant in later plots, which gave the story depth and meaning. I have read this book numerous times and will probably read it again

Summary: a very good read
Review: EOTD is a really solid book. It has an interesting story, dynamic characters, and is written very well. The pace of the story hardly slows down, in large part due to King's stylish style, and is simple enough on the surface to please a casual reader, while having settlties that a more learned reader will appreciate.

Summary: A Childrens tale for grown-ups only!
Review: King is taking us back to the fairy tales we all know from our childhood. The stories of kings, queens, princes and princesses, and of course, evil wizards. The basic story is simple, and even naive, and then, like poison in a nice and red apple, you feel Stephen King's hands start messing with the story, and suddenly, the world is not so nice and shiny. A facsinating story written by the king of horror, a story for those who like their legends with a twist!

Summary: Truely one of King's best pieces
Review: I believe the first King novel I read was the Green Mile. I was hooked. Then I read Insomnia. I've read other pieces he has written, but by far, my favorite and the only one I've read more than three times is TEOTD. A masterfully written fantasy that kept the pages turning. The first time you read it, you won't put it down. Then read it again and see all the little details you missed because you couldn't wait to see what happened next. I'll tell you, reading this inspired me to write my own fantasy stories. Hats off to the King of Horror, for he also rules Fantasy!

Summary: wonderful all ages book from the King
Review: A great swashbuckling, thrills and chills, intriguge, prison escape, chases, wizards, magic and honor.

Stephen King writes in his usual, easy going style that works wonderfully in bringing these characters to life.

Great for teenagers or adults, and also provides background information of other Stephen King characters from his adult novels (most notably, Randall Flagg (The Stand, The Dark Tower iV)

Highly recommended. Much better than any other book from this genre (Harry Potter fans take note)

Summary: Great Book!!!!!
Review: I'm not really into Stephen King, but when I read this book, I was thouroughly shocked. I read it in a day and a half. I just couldn't put it down!! If you love magical books that aren't too scary with suspense and surprise in it, this is definitely a great book to have.
