Rating: Summary: A Fabulous Book! Review: This was the first Stephen king book I ever read, and I was immediately drawn into his unique narrative style. Although this book differs greatly from his other works, it is a wonderful starter to get you inside the genius mind of a master storyteller.
Rating: Summary: DIFFERENT, BUT STILL MAGICAL Review: In my opinion, this book, differs from all the others, S.K. has published, he sais in it, that it's dedicated to his daughter, so it's quiet logical that he changed his line in this one. BUT, although this one is different, it's also great, it's a good adventure in the land of wizards and spellings. I may assure you that if you enjoy medieval stories, you'll really enjoy this one.
Rating: Summary: Eyes of the Dragon Review: It was a great book! It was magical and intreaging. It had a great plot and you rreally got to know the characters. I didn't want the book to end because then i knew there would be nothing more about the characters and that was it! -So far the best Stephen King book I've read!
Rating: Summary: One of my absolute favorite books Review: Once upon a time, I used to think that The Stand was Stephen King's best book. Then I read Eyes of the Dragon, and while I still like The Stand, I like this one about a thousand times more. For those of you out there who think that King only writes unintelligent and unintelligible crap (not me, but I figured I'd play the Devil's advocate a little here), then you sure as hell haven't read The Eyes of the Dragon (nor have you read The Stand or Misery or Rose Madder). The plotting is very tight, it has ultra-believable characters that seem so real, you might even catch yourself thinking about paying a visit to, say, Thomas a day or two after reading this just to see how things are going. (Then you catch yourself in that thought and wonder if you are quietly, but surely, going insane :)). This is an intelligent story, with a fair amount of commentary from King concerning such real-life subjects as the will of the people being the only thing that keeps a king on his throne to the fact that people are more like dogs than angels or devils. This has to rank as my favorite story of all time, tieing with Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert Heinlein, with Yesterday We Saw Mermaids by Esther Friesner and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett coming in a very close second (and both of which I very highly recommend also). Buy the Eyes of the Dragon; after reading this one once, you will want to go back to this one again and again.
Rating: Summary: A classic midevil story of dragons, kings & an evil wizzard. Review: The Eyes of The Dragon may be one of the best books I have read in some time. The enchanting story and midevil setting keeps the reader wanting to continue turning the pages late into the night. The book is bursting with action and suspense that makes you ask what could happen next, from king Roland's slay of the dragon to his mysterious murrder that resulted in his oldest son prince Peter to be incarcerated. I felt this book was much like Shakespeare's Hamlet, just put into today's english making it easier to follow and understand. Of course you saying that comparing King to Shakespeare is like comparing night and day, I know that. But If you liked and understood Hamlet, you should probably give The Eyes of The Dragon by Stephen King a try.
Rating: Summary: The Best Stephen King Book! Review: I have read almost all of Stephen King's books (some more than once) and I have to say that this is my absolute favorite. Stephen King is one of my five favorite authors and I think this is my favorite book of all time. I could read this one over and over again!
Rating: Summary: A Must-Read Review: If you are looking for a Stephen King book without violence or language, the book ''Eyes Of The Dragon'' is for you. It is a very wonderful book with great illustrations. The ending is a bit long and detailed, but it is still a good book anyway.
Rating: Summary: A mezmerizing fairy tale fit for a KING !!! Review: This on-going fairy tale,is a delight for all ages. Though not usually king's material,he doesn't fail to keep you turning the page to find out what happens next. The couragous struggle of the young Peter,to escape and announce the truth about his father's death.I personally enjoyed this story, when I read it during the summer school. Not your usual creepy King saga, but true fans will love it
Rating: Summary: This is Atypical King Review: I found King's use of the narative third person to be a fresh change. (even though the book is 10 years old.) The included story teller seldom gets in the way of the story and helps King to make this novel radiate even more of it's mid-evil charm and persona into the realm of our world.
Indead, the characters are somewhat familiar. With people poping up from the Dark Tower, the Stand, and other locals you cannot help but wonder if, in the end, all of Kings novels tie together with this offering being the knot that binds their truth.
A good read
Rating: Summary: The Eyes of the Dragon, reviewed Review: It is rumored that originally King wrote The Eyes of the Dragon for his daughter, who does not like
all of the gore and horror he puts into many of his other novels. I read it myself, and found it
to be a great book. It kept me entertained and wanting more. The Eyes of the Dragon had many
components which made it good, including: adventure, mystery and an evil villian. I recommend this book to everyone, whether they are
a King fan or not.
