Summary: What a rush
Review: Reliquary is a very strange seaquel and is quite exhilerating. I especially love when it took out the navy seal team. This seaquel will take you from the Penthouse of a Misses Wisher to the lowest of the suubterranean tunnels. Returning charachters are Margo Green , Lutenient D'Agosta , Dr. Frock, Bill Smithback, FBI Special Agent Pendergast, and the headless corpse of Greg Kawakita

Summary: A very serviceable sequel
Review: Preston and Child had their work cut out for them: they had already created the bestselling science thriller, "The Relic," and were now charged with finding a way to follow that up. Not an easy task. However, although I don't believe that "Reliquary" is quite as gripping as "The Relic," it is an entertaining novel, especially for a sequel. This one is set in the New York subway system instead of the museum basement. The group of good guys and typical bumbling fools we followed in the first novel are missing from the sequel, but special agent Pendergast plays more of a leading role than he did in the previous book, which I enjoyed since I think he is one of the more interesting characters. The opening of the book picks up right where the epilogue of the previous one left off, and it does gain the reader's interest immediately. The ending of the novel, however, is a little MTV-generation Movie-of-the-Week-ish for my tastes. Preston and Child wander a bit from the science-based plot of the first novel into more of a straight horror-thriller recipe for this one. Nonetheless, the book was an enjoyable read, and I still feel it was money well spent. Besides, after the first book, how could I not find out what happened in the second one? If you are a fan of "The Relic," go ahead and pick up "Reliquary," if for no other reason than to see Pendergast save the day again.

Summary: a pretty good read
Review: reliquary is a pretty good sequel to relic. the only reason i give it an 8 is because you can't beat a perfect score (which is what i would give relic). reliquary also isn't quite as good as relic: the plot is stretched a little thinner and the subways aren't as spooky as the museum. with the level of description, horror, terror, etc. that were incleded it would be really hard to top relic. reliquary doesn't top relic but does come in a close second. read relic first.

Summary: I miss the Monster
Review: This book is well written and fast paced. I enjoyed revisiting Pendergast and Margo. I hope if this book ever makes it to the "big screen" the authors stand fast and dont let Hollywood make a travesty of their book. The Relic as a movie was a "big bow-wow"!!!!

Summary: BETTER THAN THE RELIC!!!!!!
Review: This book definetly shows the talent that Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child can produce. This was one of the best books I have ever read. This book is again about margo this time instead of one main monster there are hundreds of little monters lurking under central park killing people. The descriptions in this book are very vivd. I really hope that this novel will be made into a movie. I am glad I payed the extra money for the hardback. Another good book that I recommend is The Female War it is a book about the movie aliens. Search for it on amazon.

Summary: Ahhhhhh..... another monster bites the dust!
Review: I was immediately suspicious when the movie 'Relic' was released and they said it was from a best selling book. Of course the book was SO much better than the movie, but ho hum it's always that way. Well the first book, Relic, is so much better than this. One thing that was consistent in both that the authors might want to consider in their next endeavor is to tone down the stupidity of the people in charge. Let's have a little realism here just for a second. Sometimes people work with others that are totally incompetent but usually the person is just somewhat incompetent and probably a bore as well or a pompous ass but no one can get to the high level positions that these characters do and just be utter morons which is what the authors expect us to believe. Even without a single skill they have to have at least some political acumen to get to those positions. Not even that is present.... so work on that fellas and maybe it'll be a little easier to take when your next lovable, fuzzy, sweet scientist becomes a homicidal egomaniac.

Summary: One of the very best books I've ever read...
Review: This book is a must read. Plan on learning lots about life in the abandoned shafts, tunnels, etc. beneath New York City. Very well done. Excellent plot with skillful prose. I simply couldn't put it down and dreaded for it to end. Highly recommended!

Summary: A very good sequel.
Review: Although not as good as THE RELIC, RELIQUARY holds well on its own. Still plenty of suspense to leave my fingers numb. Overall a well written novel.

Summary: Great Story!
Review: If you're looking for a very good solid story, then give this book a try. The Reliquary had its fair share of action, suspense, and bouts of terror. It read like a solid, well-put together story, instead of the fluff we get from some books. I listened to the unabridged audio version and found it very enjoyable. It's a book I would recommend, and did.
