Rating: Summary: The Outsider--one of my all time favorite monsters Review: This book is one of Koontz's best. The characters are fully developed, and the Outsider is probably one of the most creative monsters ever imagined. A mixture of several breeds of animals, the Outsider kills in undescribably horrible ways. But Koontz is somehow able to make you feel a bit sorry for the poor creature, which hates it's very existence. I am not an avid Koontz fan, but I must say that this book stands out as one of my favorite horror stories
Rating: Summary: Fantastic! Review: This was the first Koontz book I've read. It was one of the best books I've ever read! Like others I thought his work would be much like Steven King's--I was wrong, in many ways it's much better. The local descriptions and setting development was impecable. I grew up near Trabuco Canyon in the 60's and went to college in Santa Barbara in the 80's. The characters' travels up and down the California coast help you feel the cool sea breeze and warm pacific sun. The only problem with this book was I could not put it down. Make sure you've got plenty of time to finish it once you start. Now when I look deeply into my Golden Retriever's eyes I swear I can see more than was there before. Watchers is an absolute must read adventure
Rating: Summary: Conflict in WATCHERS Review: Dean Koontz uses all types of conflicts in his novel WATCHERS to successfully keep his readers in suspense. The book is definitely recommendation worthy. It was a constant pageturner, building the suspense to the very end. - J.Dean, BDH
Rating: Summary: The BEST Koontz book so far. Review: This was the second book of Mr. Koontz's that I have read and it is by far the best book. I loved Einstein all the way through but also felt for the Outsider. This book is a must read for horror fans and difficult to put down. There is no better line than "Home is where the weenies are." This book will make you want a dog
Rating: Summary: The Greatest Review: This book is number ONE on my "top ten books you must read list!" From the first pages, you get hooked and it is almost impossible to put down (you can count on a few "nuits blanches"). It's a must
Rating: Summary: This could happen!! Review: A great book based on a very possible medical experiment. A good read right up to the last page and one of those books you never want to end. Dean Koontz please write more or extend this to the next generation
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Review: IT's one of the best!Once you start it you won't want to put it down. Nothing can somerize it. Just get it
Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Along with Phantoms Dean has wrote his best work with Watchers. He loaded this book with intensity, suspense, and appeal
Rating: Summary: Absolutely Fantastic! Review: While this is only the second book by Mr. Koontz that I have read, I can't imagine any of his others possibly being any better. I was hooked from the start until the end, which, I might add, couldn't have ended any better. A must
Rating: Summary: WATCHERS-Koontz best book! Review: The first Koontz book I ever read, and without a doubt his best. I tried many of his later books, but they never had the appeal this one had
