Rating: Summary: His best book EVER Review: I loved this story and how Einstein brought Nora and Travis together. I wish he would write a sequel so we can dream about the future possibilities of Einsteins offspring. Come on Dean Koontz, write a sequel, PLEASE!!!
Rating: Summary: Koontz' Masterpiece! Review: What can I say? This is an all-time great novel, and he's just got such a great imagination, and the dog was simply wonderful! I miss reading about the dog, and he gave even the monster a touch of humanity. I wish I had that dog. :)
Rating: Summary: This is by far the best book I have ever read!! Review: This was my first 'Koontz' and I absolutely loved it! Einstein was of course the star of the book. My family still uses his original line "home is where the weenies are" as a joke.I had my teenagers read it too and they loved it. I grew up in Orange County, CA., so it was even more special for me to read about places I had been.
Rating: Summary: I first read WAn instant classic Review: When iI first read this book in 1989, I was totally blown away by the story and the characters. It was also my first experience with Dean Koontz but not my last. I've read and re-read this book many times since and I'm happy to say that I've used this book as a gift to introduce many friends to the exciting world of Travis, Nora and escepially, Einstein. What a truly remarkable character Einstein is!This book took me through a wide range of expressions....from laughter when Einstein tears up the flower-bed...to tears when Travis discovers the "Fiddle broke" message....to compassion for The Outsider"s demise.I still get chills whenever I read certain portions of this book. It is definitely Dean Koontz at his best. If I could rate it higher than "10" I would.
Rating: Summary: Great! Review: This was the first Koontz book I ever read. It was excellent. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Rating: Summary: My favorite Dean Koontz book!!! Review: I just loved this book. It was exciting and scary. It made me laugh and cry. My favorite part is where Einstein is spelling with the dominoes and says that if he leaves his people he will die. The woman takes this literally and begs him to stay. He tells her if he leaves he will "Die of Lonely". I needed a mop to wipe up after that scene. Loved this book!!!!
Rating: Summary: Watchers is by far the greatest book that I have ever read! Review: Every once in a great while, a book comes along that can stir many different emotions in a human being. Watchers is definitely one! I was excited, happy, terrified, sad, and appalled throughout the book. The characters were brilliantly animated. Koontz made me love these two tormented souls and their intelligent, furry friend and fear for their safety. He led me to hatred toward this ungodly, hideous monstrosity and then had me pitying it and sobbing. This is the most wonderful book that I will ever read. I bestow great praise upon Mr. Koontz for delivering a flawless masterpiece that will never be forgotten.
Rating: Summary: would you believe a love story? Review: That is what this book is all about, the love for a woman, the love for an animal, and the love that they return. The dark and scary parts of this book cannot touch the love that bounds through this book. I liked the book so well, I handed it to my eleven year old son when I got through with it. Most of Koontz's books, I wouldn't dare do this. Einstein was believable. It made me want to just rush out the door and start teaching my old dog new tricks.
Rating: Summary: Incredible, facinating! Couldn't put it down. Review: I have read many of Dean Koontz's books and have loved them, but this is my favorite! Don't try to describe this book to your family and friends, they'll roll their eyes and say it's totally unrealistic. Unrealistic? Yes. But also believable! Only Koontz could write about such an impossible concept, yet, make it sound feasible. If you haven't bought it yet - trust me, read it. Make sure, though, that you begin it on a weekend when you're not busy because believe me you won't want to put it down!
Rating: Summary: 'Watchers' had me entranced from page one Review: Of all of Mr. Koontz' books, "Watchers" is by far the best. The fast-paced, suspenseful story line resulted in many sleepless nights; I found myself unwilling to put it down.
