Summary: My favorite of all his books!
Review: This was a masterpiece of both plot and characterization. I'm hard to please, but found absolutely no flaws in this great work.

Summary: This is my first Dean Koontz book and it is outstanding
Review: If you want a book that is exciting as well as suspenseful then the Watchers is clearly a book for you. Dean Koontz brings several different stories and combinds them into one with detail and action as if you were right there. This is definitely an exciting book for anyone to read.

Summary: This story was captivating and twisting all the way.
Review: This story was reccomended to me because of the golden retriever "Einstein". When I read the story I couldn't put it down. Dean Koontz has weaved a intricate web of plots and subplots, all finishing with one outcome. He causes you to feel for all of the characters, even the Outsider. Mr. Dran Koontz ranks high in mastery of writing, in my oppinion. I highly reccomend this story, to everyone.

Summary: This book is great
Review: This is Dean Koontz' best work. If you are finished with this book and have become a Koontz reader then be warned that this book was better than most of his other books. Others of Koontz' hits are LIGHTNING,THE BAD PLACE,and THE FACE OF FEAR. I think it is really funny how on most of his books there is a picture of a house as a the cover picture.

Summary: The best book I've ever read or listened to.
Review: I first read this book many years ago. It remains my all-time favorite of all books...I have purchased this book several times in the paperback edition, I keep losing it to the borrowers. My favorite part is actually when the dog hair is noticed (you have to read this to find out what this means.) I also have listened to this book on audiocassettes. It is wonderful, but I have been known to be late to work, as I continue to sit in my car listening to just one more chapter. I loaned my only copy of this book on audiocassette and now it has come up missing. I currently am searching for a new one. It is now out of print!! By the way, I too have a golden. She seems just as intelligent as Einstein. (at least to me she is.)

Summary: Sympathy for the Damned
Review: The Outsider in this novel was one of the most fascinating characters I have ever read. I always was interested in "the beast" of Beauty and the Beast, Hannibal Lecter, et al.... The Outsider articulated its anger at itself for hurting others despite itself. The other characters, especially the Outsider's polar opposite, Einstein, were interesting but less memorable. I think the understanding of the anger within but lack of control over the reaction to the anger was an eyeopener for me.

Summary: Best Koontz book!!!!
Review: Suspense, horror, pity, love, science, morals...it's all in Watchers! With a quick start, a excellent body with many sub-plots, and a superbly concocted finish, Koontz triumphs. All the essential elements of a good yarn are contained here. Every character is developed perfectly. Travis, the loner, Nora, the shy one, the lawyers, mobsters, cops, scientists and, of course Einstein and the Outsider are excellent! This was my first Koontz book and now I have read everyone of his novels!

Summary: It was an amazing book. Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: My friend loved this book and gave it to me. I was amazed by the book. The monster terrifed me throughout the book and Einstein just made me laugh with his witty intelligence. I became so sad when the monster died realizing the horrible things he had done and the fact that he was ugly. A totally riveting book about humanity.

Summary: HIS BEST WORK EVER!!!!!!!!!
Review: If you don't like this book, you are either a Koontz hater or a looney! This is the best book I have ever read in my whole life. I would recommend it to ANYONE who likes a fast paced, scary, and thrilling book!

Summary: This is my all-time favorite story.
Review: I picked up this book to read - and had to finish it at one seating (had to stay up all night). I lived this story as it happened. It got so intense I had to put the book down, because my heart was beating so hard. I cried in pity for the Outsider, yet was glad at the end, because I would hate to meet a creature like that. I have had to buy the book four times. My own copy was never returned by one of the people who borrowed it. My next copy was read by so many people that it was in sorry condition when returned, so I bought two more - one for me to keep, and one to lend to others. This story stayed with me for a long time after reading it the first time, and I have read it several more times through the years. My son can hardly wait until he's old enough to understand all the words so he can read the story.
