Rating: Summary: Koontz did it again Review: Even though I have not finished this book, I know that it is definately one of his best. The Outsider is a rage filled beast, yet Koontz makes me feel sorry for the creature. Einstein is a lovable character, and the relationship between Travis and Nora pulled me right in. I cant wait to see what happens, and I have enough faith in Dean Koontz to know that he will not let me down.
Rating: Summary: One Of The Best Books I've Ever Read Review: Watchers is a wonderful read! Having grown up in this area I can visualize where things happened and it is very accurate. The movie was a comical rendition of this wonderful story. This was the Koontz book that got me hooked on this author. You will have a hard time putting this book down, especially if you are a dog lover.
Rating: Summary: An excellent story of science and humanity Review: I've heard once that out of all the novels which Koontz has written, this is his favorite. I don't know if it is true or not, but it definitely was well written and is an engrossing story. I enjoyed it very much and being a dog lover, it touched me a little bit more than usual. There is a nice mix of science and, for lack of a better word, humanity which end up fighting against each other. Additionally science shows that it can create humanity while humanity can reciprocate with a lack of feeling. It's obvious that a lot of thought went into this novel and appropriately it pushes the readers to think also. Think about the potential which society has and what we might accomplish. Don't get me wrong; this isn't an analytical book. It is a fun novel that is exciting and thrilling to read. It just contains more than most.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: This is my first Dean Koontz book and I must saw it was VERY good. I haven't read such a good book in awhile. I loved the suspense throughout the book and the twist at the end. I'm going to start reading Koontz more often now and I recommend this to any fan or a first-timer of Koontz.
Rating: Summary: Koontz's best yet Review: Watchers is by far my favorite of the number of novels by Koontz. This is a story that I'd like to read over and over again. Everything happens the right way. No other book I've read can compare to Watchers.
Rating: Summary: Greatest book, Koontz or other, that I have read. Review: This was a great, great book. I was hooked from the very opening scene. One thing I liked was that there were many subplots that all came together into one. The charecters were well developed, and you felt for all of them. Even though this may sound like a book only animal lovers would like, thats not true, this is a book than everyone should read.
Rating: Summary: Einstein makes "Watchers" Dean Koontz's best book ever. Review: The character of Einstein actually moved me to tears - but Orson, Koontz's latest canine wonder is coming in a close second.
Rating: Summary: An Incredibly Great Book! Review: This is the first Koontz book I read and I've been a huge fan of his ever since. Granted, I'm a sucker for a golden retriever with human level intelligence, but who isn't? I also thought it was great how you could empathize with the Outsider, the monster who escaped from the same lab as the dog and is trying to kill him. You may think I'm crazy for saying that, but you'll know what I mean when you get to the right scene. They've made at least 3 movies so far from this book. All of them have been horrible. They just can't compare to Koontz's writing. Definitely check this one out.
Rating: Summary: One of Dean Koontz best books! Review: If you like to read suspence-filled stories then you HAVE to read Watchers. When I read it, I couldn't put it down! Dean Koontz's writing is definitly extraordinary--he even makes you feel sorry for the outsider. I hope you'll enjoy this book as much as I did!
Rating: Summary: If you only read 1 Koontz book be sure it is this one! Review: You will get totally caught up in the characters while the suspense will not allow you to put this novel down. I have read over 40 of his books and this is at the top of the list of favourites.
