Summary: I couldn't put it down!
Review: This is by far the BEST Dean Koontz I have read thus far. If you have never read a Dean Koontz novel, I suggest you pick this one up. I guarantee you will be hooked! There were so many various and wonderful characters. I especially loved Einstein. Koontz couldn't have picked a better dog (a golden retriever) for that character (unless of course it were a Black Lab) and it was wonderfully played out! Even the Outsider, though representing evil incarnate, made me feel pity and a certain amount of sadness for it. The best part of the book is, it makes you wonder if Science really has advanced that far and could possibly succeed in making a dog as smart as man. It is definitely worth your time!

Review: It by far the best suspense book I've ever read! You get so caught up with what's happening that you forget everything else. I love the character of the dog, he's just so cool. This book will make you cheer for good guys. A MUST if you want an action packed suspense book.

Review: Hope is the destination that we seek. Love is the road that leads us to hope. Courage is the motor that drives us. We travel out of darkness into faith. --The Book of Counted Sorrows

"Watchers" is definitely the best book Dean Koontz has written. The thing that got me (and probably everyone else as well) hooked was, of course, Einstein. As an animal lover this is one of my dreams -- to have a dog as intelligent as a human, and Dean Koontz has brought him to life.

But the thing that made the book (and all of his other novels) completely believable is the depth of the characters. You actually come to know Travis Cornell and Nora Devon as real people, as friends. Einstein and his human counterparts are not merely figments of the author's imagination, they are breathing beings with hopes, dreams, and fears.

The Outsider is one of the most brilliant characters in the novel. The self-loathing and pure hatred the creature emminate are tangible, and chills run the length of your spine when you read its final moments. But at the same time you pity it for being exactly what it is -- an outsider.

An extremely good read, I would recommend it to everyone, period.

Summary: The best Koontz book ever!
Review: I have read and reread Watchers. I love Einstein more each time I read the book. Travis and Nora are great, too. I keep waiting for the sequal. Surely there will be one!!! We must know what Einstein's pups are up to!

Summary: This is the best book I've ever read.(Out of over 100 books)
Review: I find it hard to get interrested in most books, I find that either they start out slow and never really get too much better or they start out really fast then slow way down and become boring to read but I've read this book 37 times and find it just as good as the first time Iread it. It stays intensense through out the whole book, from when he goes out into the woods with a backpack contianing a .38, a themis with kool-aid, and a pack of oreo's all the way to the end when the lab people ................ I guess you'll just have to read it for yourselve. Enjoy.

Summary: Excellent
Review: I must say after reading this book I was amazed. The story horror, suspense, drama, love all blent into one really affective book. The characters were great, especially the killer, travis, nora, einstein. This was the first Koontz book I have ever read, but i must say I loved the way he uses different charactes point of view. I also love the way he explains the different parts of California and gives the story a sense of "movement". All in all this was almost perfect!

Summary: I've read them all! This is his VERY BEST....bar none!!!
Review: What can one say about the best book an author, like DRK has written, when you have several dozen to compare it to in his list of thrillers and sci-fi novels that he has done under his own name and several psudonames. He makes each one of the characters so believeable, even the animals. This one will convince a person who doesn't like to read, to take it up...it has worked this miracle on many of my friends, who never read, and now have read many of DRK's books. You will not be able to put this one down. The next best one he has done after this, is Lightening, from my point of view, followed by Midnight.

Summary: This book is a grabber...you hang on till the end.
Review: This book was interesting from the first word thru the last word. Dean Koontz is one of the best authors that have come around. I have every book of his except the last two (intensity,...)I will have those too. This was a great heart warmer and thumper. Einstein was a love and you grew to hate and like the outsider also.
