Rating: Summary: Genius Review: It takes guts to make a dog the main character of your book. It takes talent to make your reader care. It takes genius to make that dog as witty and engaging a character as Einstein is in Watchers. Dean Koontz is a genius.
Rating: Summary: one of my favorite books! Review: This was the second book by dean koontz that I have read and it is quite possibly one of the best books ever written. The way dean koontz describes his scenes evinces he spends plenty of time researching his books. The plot and the inner plots were fantastic. I reccommend this book to anybody who can read.
Rating: Summary: The most enthralling, exciting book I ever read! Review: Koontz is a writing wizzard, and The watchers is truely the best book I have ever read in my life time. He combines science fiction with a truly realistic sense that all the books plot could be true. Fantastic!
Rating: Summary: One you will not forget Review: I have read this book several times over the years. Truly this is Koontz's best and I have read all of his books.I was sorry to end it because it is like you have lost a good friend. If only we could communicate with our animal friends like that. How lucky we would be. This is a definate read. Don't miss it.
Rating: Summary: If you miss reading this one, shame on you! Review: I loved this book. Could not put it down from the first page. Loved the characters, especially the dog & the way the relationships developed. This book has something for everyone and I love the way Koontz was able to make the reader empathetic with the "bad creature". The scene where "it" was about to be killed in the barn was heartstopping and heartwrenching. I laughed, I cried, I was terrified. This is my second favorite Koontz book and I have read them all. Don't miss this one!
Rating: Summary: THE best Dean Koontz novel Review: This is the be-all-and-end-all, absolute best Dean Koontz novel! (Lightning is runner-up.) It has everything--pseudoscience, monsters, assassins, great chase scenes, gunplay, love story, a man and his dog, doggy intellect. You'll laugh, you'll cry--and even better--you'll even cry for the monster! Pretty darn cool.
Rating: Summary: this is the best book i've read Review: watchers is a very good book. This book is all about alot of different people talking about thier life and what goes on in it. Its kinda strange but its really good because strangeness makes a good book. I like what happenes in each life.
Rating: Summary: ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS I HAVE EVER READ Review: I have read several of Dean Koontz books. Some of them I liked very much, others I didn't care for at all. This one was bar far the best of his, and one of the best I have ever read. I read this book at least 5 or 6 years ago (maybe more) and the story has stayed with me. I read alot, and sometimes have trouble remembering a story even though I know I've read the book. Maybe it's because I'm a dog-lover that I loved this book so much, but the story itself was very unique. What a wonderful imagination! I highly recommend this book to anyone, you won't regret reading it, and you won't soon forget it. Like many others, I would love for Dean Koontz to write a sequeal to this book.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: Great book that i couldn't put down once i started.I like all of his books, but this was definitly one of the best. He makes Einstein, Nora and Travis just come to life. I would recommend to anyone who likes a good suspense book.
Rating: Summary: a book that catches my whole attention through my reading Review: this book has been one of my favorite book of dean koontz's collection. i like it so much because the author's description of moods of his characters are intelligent. i like the way he humanised the animal (the dog) and the beast. i enjoy this book best at the last part when the beast had nowhere to run and it begged for death as a show of mercy. its touching! i hope to see something as good, or not even better novel soon. thanx for reading my comments.
