Rating: Summary: The best one... period! Review: As a big Koontz fan, this book is my all-time favorite. I compare all of his other books to this one.It starts so dark, with suicide toughts and hopelessness and through the pages we meet a bunch of characters all in need of something. Something they don't know or don't want to know. But they've got to trust one and another to get through this terrible expirement gone bad. I just love it when he puts a dog in his stories. You can definitely tell he loves them. He knows how to make as important to us as the human characters. I guess with all the reviews already written everything has been said...Enjoy!
Rating: Summary: Best Koontz book ever! Review: After I read seize the night i started reading dean koontz books. This was my fifth book and the best yet. This is a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: very entertaining! Review: This was a very fast paced well written book. I was constantly on the edge of my seat. With the exception of the (sometimes) sappy love story subplot I would give it five stars.
Rating: Summary: Fantastic Book in every way Review: With a mix of horror,sci-fi and drama, this book has it all. Great characters, great plot, total suspense, funny, sad, an emotional roller coaster. Easy to read, impossible to put down. One of my all time favorite books. I have re-read it several times and still get the same effect as the first. Fantastic!!
Rating: Summary: Watchers - MOST EXCELLENT Review: If you don't read any other book by DK, then this must be the one you choose. You cannot help but fall in love with the main character (the GOOD DOG) and just wish you could have one of your own. There is drama, action, the "good vs. evil" conflict, everything you could ask from a wonderful story. This book alone, will make you a fan.
Rating: Summary: This is the book Review: Watchers is the best piece of fiction to ever hit the horror aisle. Buy this one for the person who hates reading and you'll change their life. It's the best book of the 20th century that never was made into a movie.[There is a "movie" out there that claims to be based on this masterpiece but it has none of the same characters or locations and the story is IN NO WAY recognizable as WATCHERS. avoid this "movie" or you will fall down to Hell with those who brought it up from Hell in the first place.] SCARY, SMART and FUN ,the book is a joy. The only thing wrong with this "tail" of A GUY down on his luck who finds a genetically altered super GENIUS DOG who is being chased by a MONSTER and hunted by a SERIAL KILLER is that it had to end. As far "fetch"ed as the story seems from my last run on sentence, by the end of the book I think you'll agree.....It could happen.
Rating: Summary: A very touching horror novel? Review: I loved this book and hated for it to end. I gave up on Stephen King (finished several of his books going, "huh! ") and switched to Koontz, I have read several of his books now and have enjoyed every one. "Watchers" was very enjoyable--a good horror/suspense tale, but the dog was so touching! Without giving away the story, I loved the things he communicated to his friends! I will have to send this book to my brother, he loves golden retrievers and also has a little boy named Jimmy!
Rating: Summary: Classic Review: What can I say about this book? My mother gave it to me about 13 years ago, & I've been reading Koontz ever since. I instantly fell in love with his storytelling. Unfotunately, I was very ill recently & have extremely poor vision now. I haven't read a Dean Koontz book in three years. But Amazon.com has given that back to me by carrying his books in large type! Thank you Amazon!
Rating: Summary: Breathtaking! Review: This is truly an amazing book. It you make you cringe it will make you scared it will make you cry, but most importantly it will make you feel. This is the fourth book I read by Dean Koontz and I must say that it is his best book that I have read by him. Get out there and buy this book and you won't be disappointed!
Rating: Summary: My all time favorite Review: This is the first Dean Koontz book I read. I have read every book by Kootnz since, but The Watchers will always be my favorite! Yes, the dog is why I love it so much.
