Summary: A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Review: I have read all the books of the vampire chronicles and I am so disappointed in this one. I am unable to finish it after six months of trying to read through this BORING no plot book. It is a major waste of time, the only thing I felt from this book was that it was blasphemy and urked of evil. This book does not keep in the same style of the others and did not belong to be incorporated with them.

Summary: Taste any good blood lately?
Review: Have you ever not believed in something, but it came about anyway? That is the message in this book.In the world of a vampire God nor the Devil nor Heaven nor Hell exists.Lestat the main hero of most of Anne Rice's literature, meets the one person who he'd never meet, the Devil. This event causes all sorts of adventures.Read the book to find out.Anne does a great job of explaining the feeling of heaven and hell.Though the book does begin to slip away one's intrest, it still has a stunning ending. So try it, see what you think.I personally love the character of Memnoch myself.

Summary: How do we know Armand is dead?
Review: It was a good book, and it fit with the series, but why would the vampires die for faith? Such a great puzzle.

Summary: A disappointing effort
Review: I am an avid Anne Rice, and as much I love her Vampire Chronicle characters, I believe she should have ended this series with Queen of the Damned, rather than continue with TOTBT and this title. The stories seem anti-climatic and lack the magic and passion of the first three novels. It's as if Anne is writing only to please fans of the series, instead of pleasing her self as she did when writing IWTV. A big disappointment.

Summary: Memnoch the Devil
Review: As I read throught he painful reviews given by others Im saddened. This book is great. Its not full of religious nonsense nor does it impress any religion more than another. Considering Lestat is interpreting what Memnoch is saying and Lestat is even in this book makes it better than any book that could be written by any other author. Any book containing the Vampire Lestat is a good book. Anne Rice provides a look at the Devil himself, Memnoch, as weve not seen before. God was wrong, Memnoch was right. Anyone could see that. Of Course, the thing with Dora and Roger is rather tiresome.

Summary: An interesting take on theology that I admire
Review: Truth be told, I was the oddball and jumped in at the end of the Vampire Chronicles by reading the last book first. However, I had no trouble picking up the story and following the characters through the final stage in Rice's series. As I read the first few pages I was apprehensive, for the religious references were rampant, and as a recovering Catholic, I am greatly offended by any references to the so-called "right" religion. But I forced myself to read on, and once I got past the first few chapters, I found myself embroiled in a fascinating story that read amazingly quickly! I found myself having no problems believing the moral dilemmas of the characters, or the disputes between Memnoch and God; moreover, I was quite impressed by Rice's descriptions of Heaven and Hell--she manages to give an explosive description of a place no one has seen without playing God herself. Though I was not offended at all by the accusations that Rice poses in this story on any and all religious dogmas, I can easily see where others will be thumping Bibles in protest long after this book is forgotten. I enjoyed this story immensely, and will have to go back to the beginning and read the other books in the series.

Summary: A concept in search of a plot
Review: At the beginning of the book Lestat says this book has nothing to do with Vampires. Well there you have it. The bulk of the book presents an interesting and sure to offend many - retelling of the Devil's fall and God's relation to his creation on earth. Lestat and crew are cardboard characters that nobody who had not read the other books would even notice. This should not have been a Vampire book. The main reason it was, no doubt, was to sell more books. The concept was fascinating and deserved to be part of a novel with a whole new set of fully flushed out characters and a plot for them. This book was a big waste. It wasted the Vampires on a plot that had nothing to do with them, wasted a novel concept on a rough draft, and wasted her reputation as a writer with high standards.

Summary: Could have been better, but was pretty good.
Review: Alternative theology, interesting plot and, as always, great imagery. Attempted the great contrasting vantage point that made the Vampire Lestat so great and had a decidedly better plot that made Queen of the Damned so miserable. All in all, one of her better books.

Summary: The best of The Vampire Chronicles
Review: This is by far the best book written by Ann Rice so far. She takes an unique view on the origin of our world and who God and Satan really are. This wonderful story provides a perfect ending to the adventures of such an ammusingly wayward character.

Summary: I could not put this book down!!!
Review: Very entertaining, book was great from start to finish. I enjoyed Rice's description of the land of Death. Highly recommend this book to other Rice fans, one of my favorites by her!!!!
