Summary: A fabulous tale of uncoverd mysteries!
Review: This book is fantastic! I absolutely loved it! It really opens your mind with new ideas of religion with its bizzar twist and mishaps of cristianity.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Stairway to heaven
Review: With Memnoch being the first of the Vampire Chronicals, I actually read in sequence. I was prepared for a (forgive the pun) devil of a good time. Shockes, such as David Talbot fearing for Lestat's life, Lestat taking Christ's blood, Lestat's eye being ripped out, Armand's apparent suicide, Memnoch the Devil read like a freight train. through hades.

Summary: The best of The Vampire Chronicles
Review: Being a person who has turned away from Christianty to explore other religious philosophies, I was amazed to find myself actually wanting to delve into Christianty again, until I recalled that this book was posing some anti-Christian ideas, which made me love it even more. I love the controversy and the fact that it would make my mentors squirm and maybe even freak out. And the way Rice mixed the theological fantasy with scientific theory was wonderful. A must read, even if you can't conceive of a compassionate devil.

Summary: Good, but by far not the best
Review: Anne Rice captivated me with Interview With the Vampire, enthralled me in The Vampire Lestat, but from there her works have gone steadily downhill where The Vampire Chronicles are concerned. The Queen of the Damned led me up to the climax, but was worthless because this was not very exciting or thrilling. The Body Thief was slightly better, but again the climax was too brief and boring. Their plan succeeds without fail! Memnoch the Devil would be great if Rice wrote it without it being part of the series, but she wrote a Christian story among Gothic creatures of fantasy. . . and failed. If she succeeded in it, it may have been better, but it simply did not fit with the rest of the Chronicles. It had no real impact within the lives of the vampires.

Summary: Rice's finest copulation.
Review: Anne Rice has finally reached the apex of romantic literature. Years of factual research and character developement are glorified in "Memnoch the Devil". Not only does Rice successfully delve into the ambigouities of Heaven and Hell, but also introduces an infant character (Memnoch) which rivals and compliments one of her most appreciated souls (Lestat). Those that have followed Rice's writing over the years will truly appreciate old meeting new and the rigorous events that befall them. Bsf.

Summary: Turns classic christianity on its ear!
Review: I enjoyed the vampire-centered story as I am a fan of The Vampire Chronicles, but the new interpretations of biblical stories astounded me. Rice's images of Heaven and Hell, and her portrayal of the Devil as being misunderstood really made the read worth while

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: A disappointing entry in the Vampire Chronicles.
Review: This book is a jumble of story elements that never come together to form a coherent novel. The core of the book is an alternate presentation of Christian theology that might have made in interesting novel in its own right, but that doesn't fit in as part of the Vampire Chronicles. The characterizations and theology presented seem inconsistent with previous books in the series and there is no real plot. The vampire connection seems to be a marketing gimmick to draw in readers of Rice's most popular series to a book that thay might not otherwise read. Hardcore Rice fans will of course want to read it, but fnas of just the Vampire Chronicles won't miss anything by skipping it.

Summary: its amazing how rice describes heaven and hell in detail
Review: How could she know this? I haven't finished this book yet but so far it's one of the best novels that I have ever read. The way she describes in perfect detail situations and conditions in the vampire chronicles is truly magnificent. This shows Rice's true abilities as an author.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: I couldn't put it down
Review: Simply it is one of the best books I have ever read and I hope Anne Rice makes more books like it I was scared, happy, sad, and all emotions mixed up together in a feeling I could only get from this book.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: This book was excellent, I have read this book many times.
Review: This book really gave me an insight on heaven and hell. Anne Rice really knows her stuff about religion. Alot of the book refers back to real events in the bible. I recommend this book to absoulutley everyone!
