Rating: Summary: Anyone who says this book sucked must not understand the book Review: It was very interesting and I've alway's loved Anne Rice's style. She is very descriptive. Also, you have to have a very open mind to read and enjoy this book. She made you think a little.
Rating: Summary: Thought Provoking Review: Anne Rice, after a sum-what slow start, really picked up speed. The characters all seem to come together with perfect timing. Although there are lapses of trivial nothingnes, the story still kept me glued to the pages. Having read all the vampire chronicles, I was indeed pleased to see her pick up the pace and lead the reader into a more thought provoking setting. I was somewhat let down at the very end, but that is to be expected after riding such a wave of excitement through the middle of the book. I hope she doesn't leave the readers hanging by not finishing this in another book. I feel that there is still so much more that she could have included, because if I leave it up to my own mind, the consequences of my own imagination are mind-boggling.
Rating: Summary: Amazing and religously shocking. Review: Well done miss Rice, I've read all of the vampire chronicles. I am a devout Catholic and this new installment had me questioning my lifetime beliefs of both God and the Devil. This novel will spark a religous fire in anyone who reads it. Lestat will live on in my memory as the most daring and passionate character ever borne to life on the pages of a novel. If you are open to new ideas Memnoch the Devil will really give you something to think about. Reader beware!!!

Rating: Summary: Fallen Review: I found Memnoch the Devil to be one of the better Anne Rice novels I've read; It provided a whole new outlook on heaven, earth, hell and the afterlife, not to mention an extremely interesting history of the four. Once again I delighted in Lestat's character, although I must admit the book had times where I couldn't put it down, and times where I couldn't struggle through it anymore.
Rating: Summary: ..couldn't sink my teeth in deep enough! Review: It's the fifth book ..what do you expect? "Lestat" being every vampire lovers' hearthrob couldn't go wrong with this one. But the story leaves me a bit puzzled in the end..letting my imagination run a morale of it all myself. An excellent beginning, a tiresome narrative story telling and an exiting climax "not to mention it's religious controversy" for many. But I guess it lets us look at the "the evil one" in a different light! Well.. it still is an OK read.
Rating: Summary: Anne Rice makes her charaters shimmer with life. Review: Memnoch the Devil gives you a completely different way of looking at the world. Anne Rice has such conviction in her writing that it is hard not get swept away in Lestat's world. You begin to believe that Lestat exsists and it is hard not to love him. Lestat encounters the devil, the worst fear imaginable to him. However, he soon learns that one should never believe what one hears. Memnoch turns out to be another being Lestat falls in love with. The book is very intense and Anne Rice's writing is not for everyone. At times it is easy to lose yourself in her writing. Still,I would recommend it for anyone who knows their ability to cope with intensity. It is a great book, as are all the books in the Vampire Chronicles.
Rating: Summary: Interesting Book!! This one you won't want to put down!! Review: This was one of Anne Rice's greatest books. She had me on the edge the whole time. She has written this one so easy to read, and I didn't want the book to end. This was a great conclusion to the heartthrob Lestat, even though I would read a thousand more books telling of his adventures. A must read!!!
Rating: Summary: I'm speechless. Review: Now this is no ordinary book. You don't see anything with this kind of subject that often. Basically, the main point that makes this book so fascinating, is how she retells the history of mankind as she has seen it. Just simply amazing.
Rating: Summary: I thought the book was beautiful, but why kill Armand? Review: Okay, Memnoch the Devil, I love the book! I love all of Anne Rices books . Ive read all of the vampire chronicles about three times each. But in this book at the end i was kindof disapointed. Armand was my favorite character and she killed him off! or at least i think thats what i read. Him jumping or walking or whatever into the sun. I loved his attitude. So innocent yet so evil. Why did he have to die, He was beautiful! Oh well, my life will go on. And i have a question, is lestat finished too?
