Summary: Once again I was completely involved
Review: Yes, the book is a bit graphic with it's constant whippings and sexual punishments, but any other way wouldn't have been as lovely. This book has a lot less detail scenic wise, which fits so well, and just the same, I admit that the personality in the story washes me over with this frantic eagerness to read until my eyes die out. You begin to think, "what if punishment would have been fed into our minds differently?" Would those common spankings have been antipicated? I'm not sure if Beauty or any of the other characters should have been more detailed in their thoughts or not. I think it would have been nice to have heard more of what troubled them, of what they felt to give them a more intense character. I am too enamored to critisize....

Summary: Garbage
Review: It was utter trash and a complete waste of time. I'm hardly a prude; graphic scenes don't offend me, and I like to see some 'raw' details, but this was NOT well-written. I kept wanting to scream, "WHERE OH WHERE IS THE PLOT?!?" and I barely had the stamina to actually finish the book. I heaved a sigh of relief when I turned the last page.

If your focus in life is watching other people get walloped, you might get a few vicarious, cheap thrills out of this book, but it's otherwise a waste of time and money. Go buy a tank of gas with the ten bucks.

I did find a use for the book, however: I gave it to one of my pet mice, who was delighted to have new nest material. Day before yesterday she delivered six babies amid the remnants of pages 16 through 28.

Summary: Appreciate the obscure!
Review: Captivating! Anne will make you consider possibilities you thought you would never dream of. This book is just the tip of the iceburg...You'll want to read them all when you finish this one! A safe way to experience the absurd.

Summary: It opened many doors to real life fantasies for me!
Review: My first reading of the series took only 24 hours. Beauty's defiance captured me immediately. Then with every turn of the page, I watched her learn what it meant to truly submit, willingly, to the desires of her Masters. I found it extremely erotic reading and found myself wanting more.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Disturbing, but arousing
Review: I had no idea what I was reading when I started this. It was extremly erotic, but to be honest the second and third books reached the depths of the absurd. Read and enjoy the first, forget the second two.

Summary: The foundation of any fantasy
Review: The first sentence tapped me on the shoulder and the rest of the book held me in captive. Like Prince Alexi driven by the leather phallus, I was driven to finish it in two days time. I won't claim it to be the best written erotica, and in some ways it let me wanting, but overall, I liked the bite of the book and I did get involved with the characters. I am anxiously starting Book 2.

Summary: couldn't even finish it
Review: This was THE worst book I have ever read. It was so stupid and not even amusing. I was so bored that I couldn't even finish it

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An erotic novel that leaves you questioning
Review: For once an author gives the reader a book that is not only unpredictable, but leaves one questioning how they would fare if they were the title character! Ann rice does a superb job of writing erotica that is descpitive yet not vulgar. Highly reccomended for those interested in discipline.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Tedious, but educational
Review: This book had a great storyline, but wasn't executed to it's full potential. I though that Beauty was much too compliant and Anne Rice should have spent more time breaking Beauty's will. I think there should have been other methods of sexual toture rather than spankings and being tied to bedposts overnight. Still, this book had bite and I can't wait to read the next one.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Intriguing, rather over-heated, but good over-all
Review: I thought this book was good in the sense that it deeply probes the psychology of sexual desire. It's a little over-heated, and there's not quite enough character developement, but, overall, way to go, Anne!
