Rating: Summary: Nora has done it again !!! Review: Last but not least. This book is the 3rd in a trillogy of magic and love in Ireland. You will laugh, you will be enchanted, you will have tears in your eyes but you will not put down this book. Nora's blend of magic and love is a real winner. In this book the spitfire younger sister of our two previous hero's finds her match in a bright rich American who comes to Ireland to discover his roots, and finds his heart. You will not want this series to end. This series is a good summer light read. For a more indepth read I recommend Nora Roberts other Irish saga Born in Fire, Born, in Ice, Born in Shame.
Rating: Summary: Great Final to the Gallagher Family!! Review: I have just finished reading the final book to Nora Roberts Irish Trilogy: "Heart of the Sea" was my favorite of all three. All three were wonderful tales of love and trust, 1st to trust in oneself, 2nd to see the beauty within, and 3rd being "finding one's own true hearts desire", unexpectedly of course. Darcy was the most exciting of characters from the Gallagher family and I was immediately drawn to Trevor and his self assured ways. It was no surprise that these two would fall hard and create such a steamy romance. It was the excitement and energy that the two brought to the table that left me absolutely breathless time and again. The Gallagher Family Trilogy: "Jewel of the Sun" and "Tears of the Moon" where all wonderful in themselves, but "Heart of the Sea" captured me and made me love the Gallagher's Family Final encore. A++
Rating: Summary: Darcy is a vain money grabber with no real brains! Review: I'm sorry to have to say this, as I really like Nora's books, so it's upsetting when I have to write a review like this.Nora, what were you thinking?? The first two books were fantastic, especially the second one Tears of the Moon. All Darcy thinks and dreams about is money, money, and ooops money some more. There's no harm in wanting to be successful in life, but she's waiting for a rich guty to come along so she can marry him. To all the independent ladies out there - how pathetic! Go out there and make your bread and butter. She would have been an extremely likable character if she was more into becoming successful throuth her own hard work. And as for Nora trying to make out she has a brain, yeah right, that waw just added to make her have a bit of character because she has none. Nora, next time make your female characters the way you normally do please, none of this vain money hungry types. i believe the majority of us women out there prefer characters like Brenna, and Tess from Montana Sky - a good read. I suggest to anyone buying this book to ignore it and just read the other first two. Or at least get it from a library so you won't have to waste good money. The only reason I have given this 2 stars is because I really like the male character, apart from that, that's it. No repeat performances please Nora!!
Rating: Summary: The Last Book in a Great Trilogy Review: Heart of the Sea focuses on the final Gallagher sibling, Darcy Gallagher, a beautiful woman who knows what she wants. I enjoyed this book very much because of the way Roberts portrayed the heroine, as a strong, ambitious woman who goes after what she wants but is still sensitive and not overbearing. Her portrayal of Trevor Magee is on the spot as well, painting a picture of a cosmopolitan, urbane, but still down to his roots man. The two of them believe that they're only having a strings-free relationship, but Carrick the Faerie Prince and their own emotions soon twist things around. It's great to see these two sophisticated, fiercely independent people fall hopelessly in love with each other, especially with Nora Roberts at the helm.
Rating: Summary: The Conclusion to the Series Review: Nora Roberts loves Ireland, and her love of the country is clearly stated throughout this book. She portrays the people as warm and friendly and the land as green and beautiful. Darcy Gallagher and her brothers own Gallagher's pub. The Gallaghers recently started an undertaking that involves building a theatre onto the pub. The man responsible for the theatre is Trevor Magee. Trevor and Darcy are immediately attracted to one another, and that passion blooms into romance. Prince Carrick of the faeries knows that Trevor and Darcy are the last key to breaking the curse that keeps him from his own true love, Lady Gwen. All that remains is for Trevor and Darcy to realize the extent of their passion for each other. Neither one of them is ready to commit. Roberts tells a beautiful story. Her characters are real and her descriptions are vivid. This is one of her best trilogies.
Rating: Summary: Conclusion of a Wonderful Irish Trilogy Review: The first two books in this wonderful Irish trilogy, Jewels of the Sun and Tears of the Moon, introduce all the members of the Gallagher clan along with Gwen, the beautiful ghost that appears first to Jude, then to Brenna and now to Trevor Magee, and Carrick the faerie prince who is impatiently waiting for the third Gallagher to fall in love to put an end to the curse he cast when his true love, Lady Gwen, refused his offerings of jewels. This book centers on Darcy Gallagher, the last single Gallagher, and her blossoming romance with rich and gorgeous Trevor Magee. Trevor's ancestors were from Ardmore but left Ireland many years before never to return. Both Darcy and Trevor believe they are unable to love. Trevor Magee is in Ireland to build a music theater, which will be part of the Gallagher Pub. Trevor sees Darcy as a woman caring for nothing but money and a way to travel the world beyond Ardmore and the family pub. But, aside from her beauty and her arrogance, which fascinates Trevor, he sees a market for her beautiful singing voice. He knows he could make her famous. Trevor and Darcy have more then their share of upheaval but in the end both admit their love and as they do, Prince Carrick and Lady Gwen are reunited. I was sad to see this beautiful story end but I was satisfied with the outcome. I wished there were more depth to the ending as far as Carrick and Lady Gwen's reunion, but overall the book was wonderful and a happy ending for all the Gallagher's and their chosen mates. Nora Robert's never disappoints me.
Rating: Summary: Good read! Review: Of the Gallagher trilogy, this was the weakest one, but it was still entertaining. It seemed that Darcy was a bit too concerned with money, though through the series we could see that she loved her family very much. Trevor had no really outstanding characteristcs besides his money and ambition. However, I loved seeing all the Gallaghers and extended members together. The story of the ghosts was also touching. Heart of the Sea is one of the better romances I've read. I would recommed that you read the series in order, starting with Jewels of the Sun and Tears of the Moon.
Rating: Summary: Nora Roberts/JD Robb is the best author ever!!! Review: This trilogy is one of the best story lines I've ever read. The characters, background and setting is fantastic. Ireland and her "faires" is such fun and the love stories surounding the three siblings is gripping. I was so sorry when I got to the end of the trilogy.
Rating: Summary: A fitting end to the trilogy... Review: It's been a long time since I've picked up a romance novel. I started with the first in this trilogy and couldn't put it down, and so on and so on with the second and finally... rather than waiting for the library to receive their copies of the third one, I broke down & bought it! What fun to bring a little romance into the rather serious reading habit I've had lately.
Rating: Summary: Heart of the Sea Review: I really enjoyed this book, along with the first two books in this trilogy. The characters were enchanting and the story line unique. It made me laugh out loud many, many times. Nora Roberts has created another enjoyable book.
