Rating: Summary: Disappointment was the spell of this book Review: Not worth the wait. The first two were great, so I was expecting more. However, you should read just for the conclusion.
Rating: Summary: Witchcraft...not here Review: This was no where near as good as the first two books. I was extremely disappointed with this last of the triology. There was no suspense with this one, lacked the mystery that the other two had. Too much sordid sex and not enough of the magic from Three Sisters Island. Very disappointing.......
Rating: Summary: Great series Review: I love this series and I'm hoping that Nora Roberts decides to write another trilogy featuring the three sisters of Mia, Ripley and Nell. She could easily turn this trilogy into something like her In Death series.
Rating: Summary: Big Disappointment Review: I am an avid Nora Roberts fan, however, this book was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! I found the first two books in the series really exciting, but could never really get into this book. I thought this would be the most exciting of the series because Mia was so stunningly beautiful and so exotic. Not so. I don't know what happened, but it never really grabbed. me.
Rating: Summary: Of course it's good. Review: As always, Nora Roberts has written a winner. Mia and Sam are perfect for each other, and they sizzle. This book was a perfect conclusion to the Three Sisters trilogy. If you like a lot of romance with your adventure, this book (and quite frankly, ALL of Nora Roberts' books are for you)! Nora, please write another soon!
Rating: Summary: I want to buy this book Review: I am in shanghai ,China. How can I buy it?
Rating: Summary: Third book...a big let down. Review: This was not as exciting as the first 2 books. I expected with all the lead up in the the first of the series that this would be more thrilling than the first 2 as she had a much harder decision to make. It wasn't! There were more love scenes than any of the drama, mystery and mysticism that I was hoping for. My advice is don't bother unless you like saying "Big deal" to yourself at the end of the book.
Rating: Summary: Third time isn't a charm Review: Sam! Mia! The first two books set up the sizzle that should have outshown the other two sisters and their romances. What happened? I was really disappointed with this book.... It was a very weak conclusion to the triology.
Rating: Summary: A magical ending! Review: I really liked this ending to the 3 sisters Island trilogy. I really enjoyed that Sam, our hero, had magic too. Also the ties from Sam and Mia to the original silkie and witch was really neat. I could have gone for another 50 pages or so of romance between Mia and Sam, but I think the story was very good as is. A good read with some very nice magic!
Rating: Summary: disappointing Review: For the most part, I enjoyed the first two books in this trilogy. Nell and Mac were two of my favorite characters in the trilogy. From what I'd seen of Mia, she looked like she could've been very interesting. I was, unfortunately, disappointed by this book. The fantasy storyline, about the things that the witches must accomplish so that evil doesn't overtake the island, seemed fairly interesting. The battles against evil and the evil itself were occasionally a bit laughable, but I liked the buildup throughout the trilogy. The fantasy elements of the third book seemed to be interfering with the romantic elements. There just didn't seem to be enough room for either to be handled well. It didn't help that I had problems liking both Sam and Mia. I started off the book hating Sam; he believed that he'd just come back to the island after ten years away from it, fight a bit with Mia, and then she'd forgive him and everything would go back to the way it was. They'd be happy, win against the evil, and all would be well. After a while, he gave up on that idea, and I liked him better as I learned more about his reasons for leaving. By that time, however, I'd come to dislike Mia. In this book, she is a hypocritical idiot. In the previous two books, she was always telling Ripley and Nell that they had to face the things that their counterparts in the past could not. In this book, Mia stubbornly believes that she doesn't need to do any more to fulfull her part of the legend. As far as she's concerned, she fulfilled her part of it when she went on with her life after Sam left her, in spite of evidence to the contrary. She won't even listen to anyone else about it, and she continuously assumes that she is capable of doing everything alone. That got really old, really fast. It also bothered me that Mia seemed to think that it was okay to enslave someone if it was done for love; she saw no problem with her counterpart in the past, Fire, binding a selkie to her by stealing his pelt, because Fire was in love with him. I also didn't like the ending very much. It wouldn't have been so bad if it hadn't had all those rhyming spells. A few of them here and there are fine, but there were so many in the end that it really got on my nerves. It was nice reading the conclusion of the trilogy, but there was so much about it that could've been done better.
