Summary: Uh...thats it?
Review: Not up to par in any way, shape, or form. this series had GREAT build up, first with Nell, then with Ripley, but Mia...
Sweetie... dont you know "Hell hath no fury, like a woman scorned."?
I mean really there seemed to be no "fire" in the scenes no anger for the way or reason Sam Logan just up and left the island.
It was like He's back lets forgive him... but that's not my only issue...

What happened at the end? Good versus Evil? With Nell, she had to face her past, with Ripley she had to accept, whats Mia doing????

Just to set the record sraight I am a HUGE Nora FAN! But i was so disappointed in this book. So disappointed, infact, that when I finished reading it, I turned it back to page one and started over because I never thought that it would just end... with no...anything it just ends. No pop not even a fizzle.

So in closing READ NORA ROBERTS...just not this book!!

Summary: candy's review: the book you shoudln't miss out on
Review: Face the fire is the last of the Three Sisters Island trilogy by Nora Roberts. Mia is the last of the sisters to undo the 300-year-old curse and prevent the island from tumbling down the sea. In this book, Sam Logan, her long lost love came back 10 years after the bitter break up. In this novel, when Sam bought the hotel, came back to the island and declared he was going to stay for good. Mia had a trouble getting used to the fact that Sam came back after 10 years without a word. She acts coldly towards him even though it hurts her and reminds her of the past. However, she and Sam ended up together but not in a relationship like they once were. At last, she finally lets herself love Sam again and saves the island from tumbling down the sea.

I'd really recommend this book to 8th graders and above. Adults would also like this story for it has many elements in which they could relate to for example Mia is a thirty-year-old and the book would appeal to adults and relate to. The book more than teenagers would. I also recommend it to people who like magic and romance novels; you'll absolutely love this book. The story isn't difficult to understand. The characters in the novel experience romance, friendship, and basic self-conflicts that isn't boring. The way the author describes the surroundings and facial expressions are so clear and so easy to understand you'd lose yourself in the novel and sometimes convince yourself these people are real and the island in which the story takes place is true.

In my opinion, it's a magical, mysterious, and romantic novel that you don't want to miss. What interested me the most is that Mia had been in the last two trilogies and little was said about her. The way the writer made her so mysterious to me made me want to curl up and read the book. However, I wouldn't recommend readers to read only this novel and ditch the first two books because you'd miss out a lot of things that started from the first two books. How the character got to know each other, how they lived and most importantly whom each character are like. In each trilogy, the writer focuses on one of the sisters and their task. If you didn't read the first two books, then you'd be pretty confused because of the relationship between characters.

I wouldn't recommend is that book if you like to read serious murder books such as psychological thrillers and detective books all the time then maybe this isn't the book you'd want to read. The reason being is that there isn't much of a psychology talk or behavior in this book but in the first trilogy there are so maybe you'd want to read up on the first book and see if you like it. However, in this novel there are maddening elements in this book that may satisfy the murder addicts at some level. All in all, this book includes a bit of everything; Friendship, romance, magic, thriller, sex, and overall a really good book worth your while reading. However, for people who like romance, magic, and happy endings this is a book for you.

Summary: I love this series
Review: I just adore Nora Roberts books, expecially her trilogys. This is such a good book, my mom and my twin sister have both read the book and they loved it too.
I love this book, I'm have so many of her books at home and I NEED to buy more.

Summary: The fire just fizzled
Review: I too, agree with other readers who were disappointed with this very anti-climatic ending. After the first two books, and the big build up in this one, I was really expecting a big bang, to pull everything together, but it just didn't happen. I liked how it explained more in detail, about why Ripley had turned away from the craft and Mia, and was glad that she still was able to keep her strong character, even though the tough-girl routine did get a little annoying at times. Overall the characters were enjoyable, but by the third book became a little too predictable.

Summary: Face the Fire
Review: I truly enjoyed the Three Sisters Trilogy... also "A Little Magic". I found the Cordina stories rather difficult to finish, as the storyline and characters seemed very "slow". Highly recommend for Nora Roberts fans to check out Judith McNaught titles, too! I particularly enjoyed "Something Wonderful", "Double Standards" and "Once and Again".

Summary: Great book, great writer
Review: I really liked "Three Sisters Island Trilogy". I think the books are really cool. With the first one we get to know the Three Sisters and fall in love with Sheriff Todd, with the second we get to know Ripley better and with the third, which I haven't finished yet, we get the conclusion with Mia's love Sam returning home from NYC.

Buy the books. You're in for a treat!!

The whole story was great and I hope Nora writes another story like this. Im looking forward to reading another bewitched story. Nora is brillant. I love this trilogy so much I'm going to read it again and I have never read the same book twice!

Summary: Excellent
Review: conclusion(?) to an enjoyable trilogy. I have not read many of Ms. Roberts books but several people at work recommended the first book and I was hooked. I too hope there is a continuation maybe exploring Lulu. I loved the interaction between the couples, but I especially liked Mac. Hoping to see more on these characters.

Summary: A magical, fairytale ending for the Three Sisters...
Review: This trilogy is my first experience with Nora Roberts. She writes in a polished, romantic style that is very easy to read. I very much enjoyed getting to know her three female characters for they live their lives in a fashion that nearly anyone would envy. Not even close to real life as most of us poor mortals experience it every day (even removing the wiccan and magical aspects in the equation).

Each of the three books features one of the three witches and tells her story in detail. In 'Face the Fire', it is Mia Devlin's turn for the spotlight. Flowing red hair and breathtaking beauty sum up her outward appearance. She is also the most knowledgeable in the practice of her craft. Her's is the final test --- will the island survive or be lost?

Ms. Roberts managed to weave enough mystery around the final solution to the saving of the utopian Three Sisters Island from a three hundred year old evil, that I wasn't sure of the ultimate solution until the very end. Would it be a fairytale ending? Or a fairytale tragedy? I recommend that you read the book to find out for yourself.

This is a terrific series for anyone who enjoys larger than life romance mixed with handsome, manly men, beautiful, strong willed, accomplished women and lyrical descriptions of lovely homes, gardens and picturesque magically enchanted islands. I'd love to take my next vacation on Three Sisters Island. And I'll run by the Cafe Book and pick up a stack of Nora Roberts' books to read while I lounge on the beach and listen to the waves rolling in to the shore.
