Rating: Summary: Fantastic. Review: I thought Lestat & The Queen of the Damned were her two best books of the trilogy, I was not impressed with Interview. Before that I read The Mummy which I thought was great too. In the meantime I am waiting with baited breath for Marius, her last book. I have read all her books anyway and thought she had lost her edge after the trilogy but, she seems to be getting it back.
Rating: Summary: The vampire Lestat--Best book ever Review: I started reading the series the Vampire chronicles after I saw the movie. The book interview with the vampire was great, but the second book following that was even better. The Vampire Lestat is like my favorite book by far. I can't wait to read on and find out what happens in Queen of the damned!!!
Rating: Summary: Surprise! Surprise! Review: Rice's vampires are real, that adds to their appeal. None of the garlic fearing, can't be seen in mirrors, demonic and possesed fiends of Hollywood. It surprised me at first, when I picked up Interview with the Vampire, I didn't expect the vampires to have emotions. Anne Rice must have wanted to emphasize that detail when she began to write. Her Vampire books are compelling, and just plain hard to set down once reading has begun. Rice's ingenuity captures her readers and pulls them into the books until they are running alongside the characters.
Rating: Summary: the best book I've ever read Review: This book kept me involved from the very beginning it made me feel as if I was part of the book. Finishing it made me feel as if I was losing a good friend this is the best book I've ever read I can't wait to read her others.
Rating: Summary: Anne Rice created The most Fascinating original series ever Review: Needless to say there will be other authors who will try to imitate her style, but her originality puts her in a class of her own, so when they try they may be good, but alas she has no competition. I have read the set from beginning to end, I was very disappointed with the movie because her book was perfect there should not have been any changes. Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt made the movie seem so much more gorier than it should have, it didn't belong, the book was too good for it. I have read almost all her books now and patiently I will await her new releases. Her books put us right in the story to the point you wish you had her insights.
Rating: Summary: 14-YEAR OLD LOVES BOOK Review: I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE AND I LOVE IT,IT IS GETTING REALLY INTERESTING. WHEN I FINISH THE SET I PLAN TO BUY HER OTHER BOOKS AND SERIES OF BOOKS SHE WILL PUBLISH.
Rating: Summary: I loved these books! Review: These were the best books I have ever read. The characters were described extreemly well. I find myself looking around at night for a vampire.
Rating: Summary: Anne Rice top's her self with every turn of the page Review: I can sum these books up in one word amazing, Anne Rice has created a world of such seduction and beauty to which anyone can be immersed the stories of Louis, Lestat, Gabrelle, Armand and Marius will always be in my mind From Louis's first account of his Vampire life in Interview to Akasha's evil plan in Queen of the Damened to Lestat getting his body Stolen in Tale of the Body Thief Anne Rice's vampires and their tale will keep you on the edge of your seat till the end and leave you wanting more.
Rating: Summary: Emotional and Intriguing, I couldn't put them down. Review: I've read all of the Vammpire Chronicles. Once I began with The Interview with the Vampire, I was hooked and have been reading Anne Rice books ever since. I find that the most interesting of the chronicles is The Vampire Lestat. His character has become irresistible to me. I can relate to his hyper-sensitivity and selfishness. I just finished Memnoch the Devil, the least of my favorites. I felt that the climax of the book was dragged too far, and I found myself wishing the chapter would end soon. However,Rice has such unbelievable writing talent and such a vast intelligence, that I will forever be a fan.
Rating: Summary: These books are really really good Review: When I first read Interview With the Vampire, i thought it was going to be another one of those really cheesey titles in which the vampires are these blood sucking goons in which you wonder how the heck some people are supposed to like them. But, after I read the first few pages of Interview With the Vampire, I was stuck. Before the month was over, I had also purchased all of the other books in this series, and I began to buy all of Ms. Rice's books. To me, I think that these books/series will always be the best in Rice's works, of course, you will agree whole-heartedly if you read one of these books, which i think are the absolute best things i have ever read. And, you never get tired of it. I think i have now read Memnoch the Devil about 5 times, Queen of the Damned about 10, Interview with the Vampire about 22, The Tale of the Body Thief about 6, and The Vampire Lestat about 20. My favorite characters are as follows (in order from best to least): Louis, Lestat, Armand, Memnoch, Marius, Khayman/Benjamin, and Claudia. If you do read this book, you'll think it was worth the price. Totally.
