Rating: Summary: Series just gets better Review: The second installment of Katie MacAlister's vampire series is a winner. It takes up Christian's story and introduces other interesting characters. It is a very original story and not a copy cat as one reviewer tried to imply. If you like mystery, romance, humor and vampires (not to mention a ghost cat), this is a definite buy for your keeper pile.
Rating: Summary: what a great book Review: These two characters are in my heart, plain and simple. They are so well written, their romance is so touching.
If you love romance with a bite, go for this one. It is amazingly beautiful, and it will have you laugh, cry and go "eeeeks"
Rating: Summary: It made our Vampire Book of the Month for May Review: This should tell you how much we enjoyed this whitty tale. The characters were a perfect match for the opening of the Vampire Book of the Month club. Katie Macalister has done an excellent job in defining the role of the summoner.
Rating: Summary: A book that truly grabs your attention from start to finish! Review: This was my first Katie Macalester and won't be my last. I like smart romances that don't drown me with drippy sentiment, and they must have plenty of plot and snappy dialogue. One of my favorite lines from this book: "I don't often find naked men slowly bleeding to death in the basements of haunted inns." The sex is explicit here, which is not my personal preference (there is a fine line between turn-on and turn-off, and this book occasionally crossed it for me) but the charm and humor of the rest of the story were perfect. A fun read!
