Summary: Good Read
Review: I thought this book was going to be silly but it was not. It was a fun read. I really liked the characters although betsy was annoying at times. Well Eric is yummy. I love it when I discover an authur that is great the first time I read he or her work. I cannot wait for the sequel. I heard it is a trilogy, don't stop there keep writing, I loved it.

Summary: Delightful
Review: I raced through this book in one sitting. Very fun book; a good companion to the Southern Vampire series. Betsy kind of reminded me of an undead Stephanie Plum. Can't wait for the next one in the series and I hope there are many more after that!

Summary: The Reluctant Queen
Review: Imagine getting killed in a car accident and waking up in a coffin dressed clothes you wouldn't dare wear if you had still been alive then later finding out you are now one of the undead.

Well that's how this story begins and it just keeps getting better and funnier. Elizabeth Taylor is a woman with a good heart but vanity is still her name. Although Elizabeth is still Elizabeth, she can do most of the things a vampire can do (although she's not exactly sure what those things are as she's just discovering them) but Elizabeth can also do things no other vampire in history can do, i.e. she doesn't need to feed on regular basis, she can go to church, wear a cross, be bathed in holy water and walk in sunlight, so of course the head vampire must have her in his in cult but Elizabeth has other plans.

Elizabeth plans to live (???) her life the same as before she died and has no plans for hanging out in the cemetery with the other vampire losers who have no sense of cleanliness. Godliness or style. As Elizabeth learns more about her new existence with the help of a family member and some interesting friends she becomes a power to be reckoned with.

Undead and Unwed is indeed one of the best vampire novels I've read to date and if you don't believe me read it yourself and you could just die laughing.

Patiently waiting to read what's next for Queen Elizabeth and her new Consort as it's bound to be another terrific adventure into the land vampire politics.

Review: From Timeless Tales reviewer J.P. Sydney

Betsy Taylor had died. Or maybe that would be undied because she's now one of the undead, a vampire with a craving for blood and her Manolo Blahniks.

Betsy doesn't know how she's become one of the undead. She knows how she died-being hit by a car at 40 mph and thrown into a tree can do that to a girl. But no matter what she does to herself, she can't stay dead. Stabbing, drowning, drinking bleach and electrocution and the only thing that suffers is her hairdo. So what's an undead girl to do? She becomes an unwilling hero, using her strength and new powers to save a mother and daughter from three men intent on harm.

But that's only the beginnings of her problems...or would that be heroics? Suddenly Betsy's a pawn in a battle for power in the underworld. It's the last thing she wants though. She'd prefer to live her undeath in peace, and not get involved in underworld politics. But one of the vampires won't listen, putting her friends and family in danger to get her attention.

The other annoying vampire vying for her attention is Sinclair, a hunky, good-looking, arrogant undead who knows more about Betsy's abilities and future than she does.

Undead And Unwed is the first book in Ms. Davidson's Undead trilogy. If you enjoy laugh out loud, tears streaking down your cheeks, sides hurting reads, you're going to love this book. Don't read this book expecting a deep, emotional romance. It isn't. But it's still a lot of fun.

MaryJanice Davidson is quickly making a name for herself for her witty heroines, fast-paced dialogue, and stories with a high giggle factor. Having read the original version of Undead And Unwed from Ellora's Cave, I'm pleased to say I love this version even more. The story was expanded which was a huge benefit. I enjoyed the secondary characters more, the story was better developed, and it made me even more excited to read the rest in the series.

Summary: Hysterical
Review: In Minnesota, Elizabeth "Betsy" Taylor has had a week that only the damned would understand. First she arrives at her clerical job at Hamton & Sons to be handed a pink slip on her birthday. When she returns to her home she finds Giselle her cat missing. With an April snow making the roads treacherous, Betsy notices Giselle in the street. She goes to rescue that darn cat, but a driver sees Betsy too late and kills her.

Betsy awakens in a coffin dressed in an ugly pink suit and her wicked stepmother's throw away shoes. Apparently when she was assaulted a few months ago, she became bitten and converted to a vampiress. The minions of her undead world believe Betsy is the Queen. While all she wants is to remain dead in nice garb, shoes, and hairdo, the vampiric crowd covets sex with her to solidify their power. Only the tall, dark, and handsome Eric Sinclair offers to mentor her on things she needs to know about vampirism, but was afraid to ask.

Readers who enjoy something different will not want to leave the hilarious satirical UNDEAD AND UNWED unread. The story line spoofs the chick lit, fairy tale, and supernatural romance sub-genres leaving no icon unbitten. Betsy holds the tale together as she wants nothing to do with her new life (death), but has no choice with an addiction to ruby colored liquids and scoring a lot more as a dead person than she did when she was alive. This is a terrific tale that cleverly lampoons everything and anything in its path.

Summary: Good read.
Review: Elizabeth Taylor has just become a vampire. No, not THE Elizabeth Taylor, Betsy (don't call me Liz) Taylor got run over and woke up in a coffin, in her stepmother's cast off knock off shoes. Now she was both undead and unhappy. Betsy figures she is supposed to be dead, and tries to become so, but it doesn't work. So, she decides to at least get her good shoes back and as a bonus scare the spit out of her stepmonster. Once that is accomplished, she, her best friends, Marc and Jessica, start trying to figure out what she is. Before the get far, Betsy finds herself in the middle of an age old feud between Nostro (short for Nostradamus) and Sinclair, the two top dog vampires. It seems Betsy is a prophecied queen of the undead, and both of them literally want her. Nostro is mean and ugly, Sinclair is a handsome smart aleck. The choice is obvious. Unfortunately, the unchosen one does not take rejection well.

**** Betsy has more in common with a certain sharp witted vampire slayer than with vampires. The jokes come fast and furious in this quick paced read. It will be a pleasure to see how the story develops in future volumes. ****
