Summary: Page Turner
Review: Loved it. I have read the entire Antia Blake series. I could not wait for the next one. It was very good. It was a real page turner. I could not put it down. I read the thing in 24 hours. I can't wait to see if there will be another book. The only advise I have is that if you want to read the series start with the first book.

Summary: Cerulean Sins Review
Review: I really enjoyed this book. Anita's morals are highly challenged throughout this book. With the ardeur, her needs to feed it through sex challenges her morals.
Richard is struggling with his own depression and the triumvirate suffers due to his problems. Anita can't even be in the same room as Richard because she doesn't want to begin to hate him. Musetta, a lietenant of Belle Morte, comes to St. Louis three months ahead of time and chaos is reigned. Negotiations are not complete and Musetta demands Asher as her "treat". In order to protect Asher, Anita will test the bounds of her morals which will bind Jean-Claude, Anita and Asher closer together than ever before. Or drive Asher away for good, and cause a wedge in the relationship between Anita and her beloved Jean-Claude. But underneath all of this someone is beginning to wake, the Mother of all Vampires. She is curious of Anita and her powers, the mother does not love, hate, or feel any emotions, she is darkness itself.

Summary: I need more Anita now!
Review: This is a great book- just what Laurell's fans have come to expect...I cannot tell you how great her books are- you must read them for yourself...If I were to recommend only one book right now it would be this one- tight plot, great characters and the ability to completely pull you under into her world...It was so hard to put down that I almost read it in one sitting...Buy this book now!

Summary: Hot and Sassy - Hamilton does it again!
Review: This book definitely is a winner. Having to wait for months, I was not disappointed. Got to reading the book and all I can think is Hotsauce and rollcosters. The sex in it is heavy but not smutty. Loved the whole Asher/Jean-Claude/Anita interplay. Also it was kinda painful and interesting to see Blake get beaten down again and again by Belle Morte. Just when you think she's about to break, she gets that good old second wind and you see the Anita we all know and love come out. The only thing that was kinda a bummer was the abrupt ending to the serial killer. How disappointing. I was looking forward to a good fight scene. Oh well, I am just glad to have her book out. ohh bummer, now I have to wait another year for the next one to come out. Rats!

Summary: Gut-wrenching page turner!
Review: I have been waiting almost a year for this book, and all I can do is sit here with my mouth hanging open and write a review for all the other readers. Anita Blake is back, just as cold hearted, hard and bitchy as usual, but this time she has some major dillemas. On one side, her personal life is getting way too personal, and we all know how difficult intimacy is for Anita. She is being stalked, by the undead and living, and she isn't quite up to fighting them off. The Mother of all Vampires (called many different names throughout the book) is getting restless, and comes to Anita in a day-dream. Doesn't sound so frightening, but let me tell you, The Mother of All is the most horrifyingly scary character to date! Now, I don't want to spoil it, but ladies and gentlemen who have been waiting to see ALL of Asher will be pleased, more than pleased in this case. And for all of you Jason fans, you'll get your fill too. As for the action and cop scenes, its all there, and better than ever. The dead bodies in this book are some of the best yet as well. Laurell K. Hamilton has written a good novel, one that will keep you on the edge of your seat, your hands glued to the book cover and make you beg for more. I have to hand it to you Laurell, Cerulean Sins rocks the house, much harder than any of its predecessors...Any avid Anita fans will be dying a very pleasurable death while reading this book, your not going to want it to end!

Summary: A good book, and a good continuation of a long series.
Review: This was book was a good read. There are other books in the Anita Blake series that I thought were better.

I am happy Anita is breaking off from Richard, and that she wasn't given even more super powers. How many powers can one person possibly have? Her plate is getting a little too full of men. Even though I was glad to see the Asher/Anita/Jean-Claude relationship developing more.

I thought this book was lacking in action scenes. I do understand that this was more spiritual and emotional struggle for the main character. I wasn't very impressed with the Musette/Belle as the main monster. It just wasn't scary enough.
I really enjoyed Anita's last words to the serial killing werewolf but I thought that could of been developed more. Less Musette, and more of the serial killer.

I think it was a good wrap up of a lot of complicated relationships. I am not sure how much I like Micah. It left a lot of unanswered questions like "Why Anita didn't cleanse Asher's bite with holy water?".

Summary: Addicted to the characters, along for the ride
Review: Laruell K. Hamilton writes the sexiest and most interesting vampires, vampire hunters, werewolves, and other preternatural characters in the business.

Cerulean Sins, like the other recent additions to the Anita Blake series, focuses more on developing Anita's relationship with her men and less on solving external mysteries. Although the triumverate keeps growing stronger, there are still bigger baddies out there. The relationships between the main characters and continually growing supporting cast get even more complicated.

New readers of the series will probably want to start with The Killing Dance or something published before that. Otherwise, it's harder to understand and appreciate the plot/character development that happens in this book.

Review: Actually I would give it 4.5 stars if that had been an option. I have read every Anita Blake novel and have enjoyed them all albeit some more than others. I read this one in a day.

Some of the back fill does slow the story, but not so its too distracting. Anita is more vulnerable in this volume and its kind of a nice change to have her not entirely sure of herself. She doesn't always have to be right, especially when she knows she's wrong, and that comes across in this book.

I love the story-line with Asher. I have loved him since the start though, he's second only to John-Claude. I don't really get Micha but maybe that'll come too.

I don't want to give the story away - read it for yourself. As always its more than worth it. Hope we see more of Asher and John Claude --- I didn't miss Richard and his angst at all.

Summary: Great Teaser to another Book
Review: I just finished reading the book totally in one day. I couldn't put it down. Many things that I had been hoping would happen finally did in the book. It is a great teaser to what will happen in the next Anita Blake book. Many questions still yet to be answer and some doors open for new questions. An amazing book and like the others never long enough. Always leaving you searching for another bite so we just must wait for the next book but what things to ponder as we wait.

Summary: I think I strained my eyes!!
Review: This book was incredible. I started at 3pm and finished at 4am. I think I strained my eyes trying to read it in one setting. I was so mad when I finished because I will have to wait another year for the next one. Anita Blake was, as usual, as funny and vicious as can be. I laughed, and on one scene I even cried. For a while, I thought that Richard was the best for Anita, however, after reading this book, I find that I must reconsider. I will not disclose why, but for all those people out there who were die-hard Richard fans, be prepared to be very angry with him. I had but one problem with the book, and that was that the ending seemed hurried. Mrs. Hamilton should have added an additional 20 pages to the book to give it the smooth finish her work usually contains. Aside from that, I am completely satisfied with this masterpiece.
Warning: Lots of sex and moral decay. Don't you just love it!!
